CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE: Obama's Mishandling of Gulf Oil Spill Caused Destruction of Coastline

It’s Day 69 of the Gulf Oil Spill Disaster–
There is now clear evidence that the negligence by the Obama Administration caused the destruction of the Gulf coastline.
** The feds only accepted assistance from 5 of 28 countries.
** It took the Obama Administration 53 days to accept help from the Dutch and British.
** It took them 58 days to mobilize the US military to the Gulf.
** The feds shut down crude-sucking barges due to fire extinguisher concerns.
** The Obama Administration ignore oil boom manufacturers that have miles of product stockpiled in their warehouses.
** They only have moved 31 of 2,000 oil skimmers to the disaster area off of Florida.
** Florida hired an additional 5 skimmer boats to operate off its coast due to federal inaction.
** There are no skimmer boats off the coast of Mississippi.
** The massive A-Boat skimmer won’t be allowed to join the cleanup effort until the Coast Guard and the EPA figure out whether it meets their standards.
** The feds shut down sand berm dredging off the Louisiana coast.
** The president continues to hit the golf course, ball games, hold BBQ’s and party while the crude oil washes up on shore.

But, it didn’t have to be this way…
The Dutch offered to help two days after the disaster back in April and they have the technology and equipment that would have prevented any oil from reaching shore. But the Obama Administration turned them down due to EPA regulations.
The Financial Post reported, via Instapundit:
Some are attuned to the possibility of looming catastrophe and know how to head it off. Others are unprepared for risk and even unable to get their priorities straight when risk turns to reality.
The Dutch fall into the first group. Three days after the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico began on April 20, the Netherlands offered the U.S. government ships equipped to handle a major spill, one much larger than the BP spill that then appeared to be underway. “Our system can handle 400 cubic metres per hour,” Weird Koops, the chairman of Spill Response Group Holland, told Radio Netherlands Worldwide, giving each Dutch ship more cleanup capacity than all the ships that the U.S. was then employing in the Gulf to combat the spill.
To protect against the possibility that its equipment wouldn’t capture all the oil gushing from the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, the Dutch also offered to prepare for the U.S. a contingency plan to protect Louisiana’s marshlands with sand barriers. One Dutch research institute specializing in deltas, coastal areas and rivers, in fact, developed a strategy to begin building 60-mile-long sand dikes within three weeks. . . .
Why does neither the U.S. government nor U.S. energy companies have on hand the cleanup technology available in Europe? Ironically, the superior European technology runs afoul of U.S. environmental rules. The voracious Dutch vessels, for example, continuously suck up vast quantities of oily water, extract most of the oil and then spit overboard vast quantities of nearly oil-free water. Nearly oil-free isn’t good enough for the U.S. regulators, who have a standard of 15 parts per million — if water isn’t at least 99.9985% pure, it may not be returned to the Gulf of Mexico. . . .
The Americans, overwhelmed by the catastrophic consequences of the BP spill, finally relented and took the Dutch up on their offer — but only partly. Because the U.S. didn’t want Dutch ships working the Gulf, the U.S. airlifted the Dutch equipment to the Gulf and then retrofitted it to U.S. vessels. And rather than have experienced Dutch crews immediately operate the oil-skimming equipment, to appease labour unions the U.S. postponed the clean-up operation to allow U.S. crews to be trained.
A catastrophe that could have been averted is now playing out.
This is criminal negligence.
And clearly the fault lies with the Obama Administration.
It’s a good thing the state-run media ignores these facts.

All those booms, sweepers, in Federal government warehouses belong to the US taxpayer – it’s OUR money that was used to stockpile equipment and supplies, yet our state governors are calling for these resources but the Feds aren’t delivering them. On Saturday, we stopped in a Whole Foods for takeout. My wife used her bank card, signed the machine , took her receipt and was walking out when the clerk called her back. These credit card readers are similar to showers in the U.K.. No two are alike. This machine asked if you want cash back after issuing a receipt. Until you answered, the thing wouldn’t charge or debit your account.
We went back to face a black clerk and three black patrons annoyed by the delay.
“We did this on purpose,” I told them, “just to make you wait.” No one laughed, so I continued, “Actually, it’s all Obama’s fault.”
They were p*ss*d off.
“Everything’s Obama’s fault,” added an older woman in line.
“Good of you to admit it!” I told her, “If this were the Bush administration you’d blame him.”
My wife acted as if she didn’t know me. I thought it was great fun. I was going to ask the clerk if Whole Foods took food stamps, but I decided against it.

Mr Hoft, you forgot to include the continued failure since the Clinton years to fund and implement the spill mitigation program involving the use of fire booms to burn the spilled oil. Obama has refused to act on this program for 17 months. As I understand the situation, neither MMS nor any other federal agency has even purchased fire booms.
Another unmentioned point is the fact that the inability of the federal government collectively is TOO BIG TO SUCCEED.
The cluster f— that results from overlapping, conflicting responsibilities and resultant paralysis from interaction between DOI (MMS), HSA, USCG, Corps of Engineers, EPA, DOE, FEMA, SBA, et al, irrefutably proves my point.

I was told about a similar incident that occurred off the coast of Australia in the Timor Sea. The accident occured in November 2009. I have seen nothing about any pending disaster.
I should add here that the oil rig exploded just like the Horizon rig exploded… there were no bombs on board….
The difference is that the people responsible for the rig acted rapidly and they managed to cap the well… with mud.
In Australia when we have an oil spill.. and there are plenty of them.. the latest was off the Great Barrier Reef… there is an IMMEDIATE response and that means that there is less chance of doing harm to the surrounding environment.
Your government, that is the WHITE HOUSE regime has been totally negligent in their response to the original accident as well as the continuing disaster… it is disgraceful.
Not only do I suggest that all of your start a writing campaign calling for the impeachment of Barky, I also suggest that you call for the end of the EPA… since that authority is staffed with people who are clueless idiots.

After reading it, I didn’t know what to make of it, mainly because I don’t understand the science. But it was compelling, so I spent some time searching for information that would debunk the theory or support the theory. I found nothing to debunk the theory. As for supporting the theory, I found nothing to support it, either, although I did find quite a bit that supports the science presented in it.
