Breaking: Obama Administration Only Accepted Help From 5 Countries Out of 28 That Offered Assistance

Just last weekend Barack Obama announced that the BP oil spill was like 9-11.
This weekend as President Obama went golfing and to the ballgame, the Obama State Department was STILL in the review process on deciding which countries the US would accept help from… 60 days after the disaster!
As the Gulf Coast shores continue to be coated with crude, the Obama Administration has only accepted assistance from 5 countries out of 28 who offered to assist the US with the cleanup.
The State Department posted this on their website.
28 countries have offered to help assist the United States with the worst environmental disaster in American history. Only 5 offers have been accepted the rest are under review.

No big mystery here. They are looking for countries that are going to offer their ‘services’ for FREE. Obama doesn’t want to have to pay another country for help, that’s less money for him and his cronies. Personally, I hope they all choke on it.
There are so many people out of work, why not employ them to go to the gulf and help to clean up? Millions of alternatives and these clowns are doing absolutely nothing. It’s disgraceful and it’s only going to get worse under this incompetent fraud. Where is the outrage from the enviromentalists? If this was a Republican presidency they would have lynched the poor soul by now. Green my butt…it’s all about the green in a dollar.

Notice how many offers were made back in APRIL. I think the correct entry under “Status of Offer” should be “Don’t call us, we’ll call you.” Especially because many of these are not esoteric solutions that no one’s ever tried before.

I like the column “Reimbursement Required”… How much money and assistance has the US provided all over the world in the past 70 years or so. If it had all been paid back, I’m sure we wouldn’t have the debt we now have (on second thought, maybe the Democrats would have just found another way to tax, borrow, and spend).

I don’t recall seeing those attached to WWI, WWII, Kuwait, any earthquake area, tsunami area, etc. that we stepped up to help either. Still, figure out a budget and let’s get this started. HELLO!

List total of Life Vests available…. AND…. List max occupancy of vessel(s).
List Fire Extinguishers available (All MUST be OSHA certified for fire-fighting material per space installed)…. AND…. Total square footage of onboard spaces (include open-air deck).
There’s got to be more too…… It’s only a 60 day review time span so far……. That data would only take about 30 days to accumulate, compile and deliver to teh gubmint.

No big mystery why the US didn’t accept aid? Give me a break. Why take the chart as prima facie evidence that Obama did nothing wrong unless you are on his payroll? There is much more going on than what a literalist pr agent would extract from this chart. The number one issue is that Obama should be impeached. We have no media, and the republican party is blubbering all over itself. Who in congress will stand up and demand impeachment for crimes against the United States (including closing part of Arizona to Americans)?

There have already been a couple false starts for the next proposed flotilla. News reports over the last week or so have erroneously announced the sailing of new flotillas from Iran, Turkey or Lebanon. They seem to be waiting for something. I suspect they are waiting for the Gulf oil spill news cycle to run its course so Americans can be ready to accept a new round of targeted anti-Israel news.
The PR company working with the flotilla in the linked article is pretty much a companion of Obama dems. I went to their website and they are foursquare into Obamacare and similar initiatives.
I think the oil spill is holding up the works for the flotilla. If the flotilla goes out into a clogged news cycle it gives the Israelis the cover they need to deal with them efficiently. The flotilla needs clear channel to world press — such as they had the first time out! — to really put Israel in a bad position.
God works in mysterious ways. Public relations is entirely more predictable.

How about this idea: Let’s impose a six-month moratorium on drilling in deep water, and then appoint a panel of experts to review the engineering and safety protocol disaster, namely the Deepwater Horizon explosion, fire, sinking and ensuing oil spill.
Only after reviewing the report from this distinguished panel will we decide whether to lift the job-killing, long-lasting, economically devastating moratorium.
Only, get this… Here’s the cool part: We don’t appoint anyone with experience in mechanical, hydraulic, structural or petrochemical engineering. No one with any real experience examining or setting safety protocols and procedures. Instead, let’s appoint a bunch of loony, leftist policy wonks who don’t even make a secret out of their opposition to new drilling.

Thanks for the info on Darrell Issa. He does stand out for willingness to do the actual work we need done. Regarding Obama stalling, there are available reports online of the runaround he gave the Dutch and their skimmers. He said they didn’t meet US EPA requirements. A UK writer noted correctly Obama doesn’t consider this a disaster. He considers it the opportunity of a lifetime. Those who think otherwise might want to get checked out for Stockholm Syndrome.

I point out in comment #20 above that the Gulf oil spill has maybe caused a delay in the next flotilla voyage. They seem to be waiting for the news cycle to clear so they’re not dealing with the Israelis while the cameras are turned elsewhere.

Sadly the delay in asking for help is probably because Obama doesn’t believe the people living on the Gulf Coast have suffered enough. This aid is not going to be offered forever and if its withdrawn Obama will be left to suck up the oil with a straw.

Obama clearly has the destruction of corporate America as we know it in mind, so it’s certainly no surprise that he’s let this situation in the gulf spiral out of control. Inaction serves several purposes for him….
First of all, it allows him to thoroughly demonize the oil companies and big business in general. The public is already being whipped into an anti-BP frenzy. When that hysteria is combined with all the other anti-bank, anti-insurance, and anti-wall street hype we’ve been blasted with in the past year, the result will be the kind of anti-big-business sentiment that liberals can only dream of. As this spill progresses, everything from global warming to cancer will be blamed on the oil companies and all those corrupt, evil big businesses. After a few months of that, the pitifully ignorant public will be happy to see them all fleeced into bankruptcy and government control in the name of “saving the country”.
And, as if all that isn’t enough, we still have to wonder if Obama isn’t simply glad to see a huge portion of the United States ruined by the oil. Based on all the apologetic speeches he’s given, we certainly deserve it don’t we?
There simply isn’t a day that goes by when he doesn’t say or do something to call his loyalties into question. I only hope someone who actually cares about this country steps in and takes action before it’s too late.

There is probably some preliminary requirement getting in the way of foreign help. Countries must have to make a donation into a escrow account run by David Axelrod before any foreign countries can be approved for assistanse. Its that old fascist doctrine of international “co-operation” among nations.

For a guy who voted present his entire public life, so that there is no record to stand on or be excoriated over, it must really suck for Obama to have to make a decision. Of course, his not making a decison really sucks for the people of the Gulf Coast now, and the rest of our East Coast inhabitants later once the oil meanders its way to their shores.

Actually, I’m hearing that the State Dept. is (and has been) very frustrated with Obama’s inner circle holding up confirmation of additional aid. (along with other employees for the dept. but that’s another story). Also, other efforts from both (R) and (D) to get more private sector folks involved are being stymied by union pressure. Apparently, Obama hasn’t been kissing their butts enough and they feel that Obama has some favors to deliver.

Obama’s inexcusable delays and ineptitude to resolve the oil spill crises, and the virtual media pass given to him over the past 60+ days since the catastrophe began contrast very sharply with this biased media’s castigation of George Bush’s 8 day response delay following hurricane Katrina.
Moreover, Bush quickly suspended the archaic Jones Act to allow foreign ships to assist during the Katrina calamity. However, Obama – with his first allegiance to organized labor unions above any other Americans and above the environment – STILL has not suspended the Jones Act during this emergency.
This glaring example – yet another – of the ethical double standards committed by a corrupt mainstream media is flatly despicable.

William Engdahl, author of ‘A Century of War’ about oil and politics, states in an article on June 10th, that, “The Obama Administration and Senior BP officials are frantically working NOT to stop the world’s worst oil disaster, but to hide the true extent of the actual ecological catastrophe.” The oil flow has been repeatedly underestimated, Obama refuses help from foreign oil skimming ships, toxic, oxygen-robbing chemical dispersant Corexit is being used to submerge the oil and keep it out of the public’s sight, the EPA is delaying approval for cleanup products use, including proven oil-consuming biological agents, local workers are being turned away from the site, and the media has been shut out. It appears that BP and Obama want this devastating situation to continue. Considering Obama’s NWO CFR/Bilderberg cabinet & other appointees, and the latter’s promotion of environmental disasters to further their agenda, this provides the logical answer for their delays. The oil flow will not be interrupted until additional oppressive laws & executive orders have been put in place.
