LA Mayor Villaraigosa Is a Dope… Illegal Immigration Costs Billions & Arizona Law Will Bring Down Costs

Last week Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa claimed that illegal aliens provide a great deal to the economic might to the bankrupt state of California.
Wrong.
A new survey released today shows that the illegal immigrant problem in Arizona alone is costing the taxpayers billions of dollars. And, despite the confused efforts by leftist loons to boycott the state, Arizona will see savings that will far overwhelm any fallout from these boycotts.
FOX News reported:
Arizona’s illegal immigrant population is costing the state’s taxpayers even more than once thought — a whopping $2.7 billion, according to researchers at the public interest group that helped write the state’s new immigration law.
Researchers at FAIR – The Federation for American Immigration Reform — released data exclusively to FoxNews.com that show a steady cost climb in multiple areas, including incarceration, education and health, in the last five years.
FAIR’s cost estimates – compiled for a comprehensive national immigration report it plans to release next month – include several new cost areas, including welfare and the justice system, that weren’t in previous reports.
FAIR admits that the cost to implement the new law in some of those categories, such as incarceration, will add to the economic strain on the state. But overall, it says, the loss of immigrants either from the deterrent effect of the law, voluntary exodus or from mass deportations, will help the state financially.
Also, the savings to the state will far overwhelm any fallout from boycotts (estimated at between $7 million and $52 million) being threatened in the wake of the law’s passage, according to FAIR spokesman Bob Dane.

834b. (a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws.
(b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following:
(1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.

(c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.

The left is racing to court because the law can not be repealed with democracy and the huge costs of illegals will soon be apparent.Every state with high unemployment and budget deficits will feel high pressure to deal with them as arizona has. politicians that want to get re-elected will have to put citizens first. the true costs never had to be dealt with in a good economy.some phony study could always be found claiming net benifits.

The fact is that we are out of free money. The left is going to have to choose which group they will cater to, the traditional black vote which has offered voting levels in the ninety percentile, but is aging, growing more conservative and is not growing in numbers or the Hispanic vote which is growing in population and will continue to do so with the large families and the cross border illegal immigration and has suffered the problem all cultures have since getting here. That problem is the first generation is very independent and wants to work, the second is more likely to look for free programs and the third generation is the typical “I want mine” mentality of all Americans. Perfect for the left’s vote for us and we’ll give your free stuff manner of politics.
GWB figured this out early and catered to that voting bloc. McCain couldn’t figure out what tie to wear during the campaign. Obama’s people aren’t stupid and they will pick and groom the Hispanic vote over the black vote in a New York minute, much to the dismay of the traditional black leaders. There is only going to be so much money to throw around so I predict there is going to be a street fight over what is left.
If it weren’t for the potential damage it will cause to our nation, it would be fun to watch. However, as much as the black vote can be upset with the way America treated blacks over the last hundred years, most feel they are still Americans. Sadly, there is a significant number of Hispanics in this country who do not identify America as their first country. That is troublesome. I think we can add the mayor of L.A. to that list.

Our last governor was Janet “Incompetano” Napolitano, who did nothing but the occasional dog and pony show for the press about illegal immigration, to let AZ citizens know she was “working hard on it.” Total rubbish. No one in Arizona has suggested illegal aliens be exterminated like the Jews were (is that what YOU are suggesting AZ should do? In most other countries, illegal aliens are imprisoned (in Mexico, it’s 2 years for the first offense, 10 years for the 2nd). In other countries they are executed as spies. America doesn’t do any of that, and the AZ law doesn’t condone racial profiling.
