Only a horrible liberal hack would lecture Arizona students about perceived “racism” at their commencement.
Unfortunately, for open-border-supporting crackpot Professor Soto, this group of graduates were not the little leftist clones she thought they were…
They booed her selfish agenda-driven speech:

What a shock- Sandra Soto Ph. D. is an associate professor of gender and women’s studies. She just couldn’t put her own selfish agenda on the back burner for just one day. She had to spoil the day for these graduates.

For the college’s the name of the game is money and tenure. There wouldn’t be the large enrollment if they didn’t offer the nonsensical, non-traditional college degrees found now. I laughed when the media wrote about the proud accomplishment of Emmitt Smith, who after retiring from pro football went back to school get his degree in something like playground management. Name a perversion or worthless job future and some college will offer a degree if it fills classrooms.

For the love of Uncle Sam, let’s get our kids out the public education system. The colonies used to have “dame schools”, which was a few neighborhood kids hanging out a homeschool mom’s house for lessons. As Americans, we can work around the system, but we need to start right now.

No, it was not Texas that banned racial studies. Once again it was Arizona and this kind of crap from professors at Arizona taxpayer supported schools was one of the many reasons. HB 2281 was passed by the Arizona legislature and signed by Governor Brewer right along with the immigration bill (SB 1070) and the one repealing the law requiring a permit to carry a concealed weapon (SB 1108). If you think that these bills were all passed in the same session of the legislature because there might be a common underlying cause, you would be right.
It was caused by the fact that there are 460,000 people in Arizona who do not belong here in addition to the 6,344,000 who do and there are too many people in positions of authority like this professor who think that this a good thing. 71% of the rest of us think that this is NOT a good thing. No one has a problem with the 1,877,000 hispanics who do belong here, only the 460,000 who do not.

I remember I had a class in grad school where the prof specialized in language discourse — how language can be used to subjugate women, for example.
The laughable thing about this course is that she repeatedly affirmed the “scholarly” work of a particular gender theorist over the work of a more “traditional” thinker in the subject. The punch line? The gender theorist’s book sold perhaps a few hundred copies; the traditional thinker’s book sold in the millions.
In modern academia, nonsense is presented as scientific fact; wisdom and common sense are excoriated as ignorant and backward.

Politicizing a graduation should be a misdemeanor. It is one of those events where families, graduates, and friends should be able to enjoy the accomplishment of the graduates, not the political agenda of an associate professor who obviously did not read the law in the first place.

This woman teaches the kind of courses universities offer to give many athletes classes to attend while pretending they are working on a college degree. They are also a big part of the diversity movement which permeates all of higher education. I am a college faculty member and have learned first hand that the liberals in my midst are not interested in honest discourse because their minds are made up and they have no interest in being confused by the facts.
