Rand Paul Takes Kentucky Republican Primary…

ARLEN SPECTER GOES DOWN TO ANTIWAR LIB DEM SESTAK in Pennsylvania.
The AP reported.

Political novice Rand Paul rode support from tea party activists to a rout in Kentucky’s Republican Senate primary Tuesday night, jolting the GOP establishment. Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter lost his struggle for political survival in Pennsylvania, a five-term incumbent offering experience to voters clamoring for change.

Another Democratic incumbent, Sen. Blanche Lincoln, led narrowly in early returns in her race for nomination to a third term in Arkansas, but she risked being thrown into a costly run-off.

    eh, he’s lucky..

better someone beat him than the grim reaper take him..

  9. Is there anyone less reliable than Public Policy Polling (PPP)? They seem to miss on every call they make.

  10. This is why I didn’t donate to Burns. After Murtha said that his constituents were ignorant, racist rednecks, they re-elected him.

I read that they hated him and thought he was a jerk, but they said they would always vote for him because he brought pork to his district.

You can’t do anything with people like that except write them off. The GOP shouldn’t waste any more money trying to win them over. They’re disgusting, greedy, corrupt pigs themselves, which is why they elect disgusting, corrupt, greedy pigs.

  11. ++

    Congratulations & Godspeed Rand Paul!!

  12. In re: Arlen ‘I’ll switch sides to win!’ Specter – couldn’t happen to a nicer piece of 12-day old pond scum.

In re: VADM (Retired) Sestak – the only Sestak I knew that was any good was the AFL Buffalo Bills Tackle Joe Sestak – someone who deserves to be in Canton but never will. Pat Toomey needs our support!

  14. “PA-12 are either run by unions or just plain stupid.”

It’s a CORRUPT FIEFDOM. That’s the phrase you’re looking for.

  15. I think Ann Coulter summed up PA-12 pretty well when she opined that the voters in PA-12 weren’t rednecks (which was how their Congressman Murtha described them), they were retarded. How true. Don’t bother with this cretins.

  17. Goood bye Arlen!!! Darken our door never again!

  18. PA-12 are either run by unions or just plain stupid.

They’re just addicted to pork. They don’t care about deficits, the national debt, intrusive government, nothing. All they care about is electing someone who will give them stuff.

I learned my lesson the last time Murtha was up for re-election. He said our troops were cold-blooded murderers, but his constituents sent him back to Washington. I knew Burns would lose.

  19. Arlen Sphincter, the a$$hole of Pennsylvania down the toilet.

  20. Wow, what a very odd night.

Great to see Specter lose, but Rand Paul and the loss of Mr. Burns makes things rather concerning.

Rand Paul is now nominated by the GOP Senate Seat. We are not speaking about a Congressional House seat, but the Senate.

He is largely being nominated by the ‘notoriety’ of his rather delusional Father, and has little experience in Representing in Public Service – Yes, he is founder and chairman of the antitax organization Kentucky Taxpayers United (KTU) since 1994. And yes, his lack of Public Service experience could be a positive. But it is a huge step for a newcomer to make it in the Senate, without some experience – success in Government on some level prior to crashing the Senate.

At least we can be happy he and his Father, among others, are working within the GOP. That is welcome and constructive for the Conservative movement, to stay engaged with the only viable offering to defeat the Democrats.

However, Conservatives used to vote on basis, record, accomplishment, etc. Now it seems we are going on identity, image, popular names, etc. I guess the ‘Bush’ name has a similar feel – so maybe it isn’t so new. But it does seem odd, and the fashion could prove unpredictable, even questionable, in the final run against the Democrat, or even a few years later in the Senate.

But Burns losing really hurts. There is no sane reason for Americans, knowing the corruption of Murtha and the complete disaster the Democratic Party is today, to elect a Democrat for this seat. I question seriously the corruption, or the intelligence of this Congressional arena. They really are lost. Even NJ got it right, after Corzine.

Tonight really has a mixed feel. Fashion is one thing, but getting the job done is another.

NOV. 2010 better have a greater appeal, or we are going to have to look more closely at what Conservatives are doing.

2010 and 2012 are essential. If Mr. Rand Paul loses, and we nominate more disastrous Candidates that enable this Democratic Partisan mess, fail to get out a successful vote, we are all in much deeper trouble then we are now.

  21. Get on board the Rand Paul bandwagon while you can. The Ron Paul hatred here makes me laugh, but Rand is a bit more to your liking.

I don’t understand why bankrupting our country by fighting for goals not in our national interest is significantly better than bankrupting our country by taxing people into submission and spending like drunken sailors on statist programs. How about not going bankrupt at all? How about following the constitution for a change?

  22. OBAMA SEDITION & TREASON TRIAL CLOSED TONIGHT.

The Verdict is in…. Jury Says: OBAMA AND COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY ARE GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS!

Former KGB and former CIA agent testified how Bill Clinton’s old CIA administration has rolled right over to form the Obama administration and how Obama worked for CIA for 4 years (1981-1985) in Pakistan assisting Mujahadeen fighters during Soviet-Afghan war. Obama is and has been operating on many false social security numbers to allow money laundering throughout his life.

This is why I didn’t donate to Burns. After Murtha said that his constituents were ignorant, racist rednecks, they re-elected him.

Isn’t PA-12 up for grabs again in Nov? If so, we can still win that district.

  26. The loss of Tim Burns is heart-breaking.

We never learn anything when everything goes right all the time…so conservatives in PA-12, in the GOP, and the rest of country, should take this as a lesson about how unions have infested themselves, in pockets around the United States, and blinded many of their members to hate the GOP.

The purpose of unions should be to help provide workers with a reasonably safe work environment, a commensurate wage, and protections from being fired by bosses on a personal vendetta, against a worker they personally dislike.

Now unions have evolved into huge-corrupt-political-machines, that foster a whole host of problematic attitudes and beliefs, amongst its members.

The way I see it, union members need to decide which is more important: preserving their fat paychecks and pensions and health benefits…or preserving the United States of America for their children and grand-children.

The GOP and conservatives are not being blunt enough to the American people about the mentality of many union members. It is not just the corrupt leaders of these unions.

Many of the union members, but not all, are selfishly putting themselves before their country. To them… “family values are a fat union paycheck”.

While conservatives around the United States are willing to sacrifice everything (pledge live/fortunes/sacred honor) in order to save a better future for our children, these selfish union members are just worried about themselves.

Shame on every union member that has forgotten what it means to be a true patriot.

Our founding father John Adams, in the winter of 1776, put aside his job and money, and rode through hundreds of miles of snow, to make it to the first Continental Congress in Pennsylvania. He left his wife Abigail, with their children, back at the farmhouse in Massachusetts while he did this.

He did this because his country was more important to him than having a fat paycheck.

What have we become as citizens in this country if we cannot even fight for our freedoms anymore?

Shame on these union leaders, and union members, that let themselves be brainwashed by these socialist traitors. Shame on them for letting these people pervert the original purpose of unions. Shame on them for helping to undermine the future of America.

It is time for conservatives, the GOP, and the independent media, to do a better job of educating the American people about how wrong the union’s have become.

  27. Farewell, Arlen.
    Scr#w you.

  28. .. from Red State:
..’Tim Burns lost the special election in PA-12, but will now run in the general election for November against the Democrat. It is important to note that the Democrat, Critz, to get the win had to run to the right, repudiating large portions of Barack Obama’s agenda.’

Good.. lookin’ forward to hearing more from Tim Burns.

  29. Isn’t PA-12 up for grabs again in Nov? If so, we can still win that district.

True. I’ll rethink my approach. Thanks.

  30. brooklyn #22 — It’s called “buyer’s remorse”

I am SO glad Specter got beat. He represents all that is wrong with the system.

  31. can’t win em all. Just glad the specter is gone. next battle ground please.

  32. sad thig is we lost one because of his shall i say lust and they gained one so lets hope we do better in november

  33. i live in pennsylvania, the sheeple here are not very informed. no jobs, teenagers having babies like rabbits, cities look like hell etc. can’t wait to leave and go back to my red state.

  34. Crazy Dems are thrilled with the outcome of the special election!

  35. “After Murtha said that his constituents were ignorant, racist rednecks, they re-elected him.

I read that they hated him and thought he was a jerk, but they said they would always vote for him because he brought pork to his district.”

Indeed; it appears the Church of Permanent Government Welfare has sanctified itself in hellhole PA where lusting in the seven deadly sins is the righteous way to ‘love their Government God’ .

everything has a price and they’ll be the first in line wailing. selling their soul.

  37. I hate to say I told you so about Burns but I told you so about Burns. PA-12 is full of leaches. Half the people are on some sort of government program. A Republican will NEVER win there.

  38. I just hope that Arlen will “act like a lady” and not whine in his ridiculously irritating voice about the Tea Party, who called a spade a spade and helped him help himself out the door.

  39. Well . . . I suppose that upon the election of a pro-life, pro-gun anti-Obamacare Democrat, Democrats can still hope that they can cobble together a few more Critz-like candidates and beat back a tidal wave. But it seems that, despite hope, they may not be able to change much . . . even when their hope produces a limited success like this.
