Somaliland Press: Russian Soldiers Stormed Ship & Executed All of Our Men

The Somali pirates will likely think twice before the hijack another Russian ship.
Russian soldiers stormed the MV Moscow University and executed all of the pirates after securing the ship.

The Somaliland Press reported, via Free Republic:
A pirate spokesman, who wished to remain anonymous, contacted Somalilandpress today said at least ten of his men were executed by the Russian navy after the troopers stormed MV Moscow University.
“The Russians commandos stormed the ship before sunrise, starting a firefight with our men, onboard they injured three of them and one was killed,” he said.
He dismissed the Russian navy statement that the men were released because of “the absence of a legal base to carry out prosecution procedures against pirates”.
“The Russians never released the young men instead they shot them point-blank range then loaded their lifeless bodies back on the boat,” he added.
The Russian media reports say pirates released on the open sea after hijacking a Russian oil tanker last week never made it ashore and are likely dead.

I’m going to help out here and tell a little “story.”
I met and befriended a young ex-naval sailor who was attached to a ship deployed to fight pirates. He was able to speak a little about what goes on in the open seas. His most telling statement was “The sea hides all things.”
Apparently, more than once the “pirates” ran into trouble with naval vessels on patrol. In one instance the pirates shot on the very large naval vessel from a very small open boat. The .50 caliber response sunk the boat and everything and everybody on it. To the village people, their buddies went out and just never came back.
I was shocked that a small boat would fire on a large vessel. He said, “Sometimes their options are limited. More than once after being captured and taken ashore, they were summarily shot by the local authorities.”
You would think the days of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” are over, but apparently not.
The Russians were just cleaning up a little as expected, out there, on the high seas.

Well, a bullet in the back of the head is quicker than a rope, isn’t it? I’m of the opinion that the sharks need to eat, just like everyone else. Can U imagine what the Chinese will do? The Russians were sending a clear message, whereas the Chinese will just kill them and never say anything. The Russians treated the pirates the same way the British navy used to treat pirates – summary execution. I am only disappointed that the Russians didn’t just toss them overboard to drown in the open seas.
Today, the British navy can’t even capture pirates, as they’d be forced to offer them political asylum and get to live the high life on the dole in Londonistan.
Meanwhile, when asked to comment, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International said that they were too busy preparing a report condemning Israel for serving low-quality hummus and warmed-over falaffel to imprisoned Palestinian terrorists.

Well done Russia, only wish the story would have been about the US Navy. Getting back to the days where pirates were strung up at the entrance of a harbor as an example to the other pirates. Don’t get caught.

Well the obvious question would you feel safer on a Russian flagged ship or one under some other weak knee flagged nation. Pretty sure Russian shipping might see a pick up in business after this. You cannot deny Russia has almost always been quick to protect their National interest and sovereignty with decisive action. The way to end piracy is to administer swift retribution. The Ruskies almost got it right. That was when the Palestinians were on the rampage in Lebanon and they left the Russians alone. Russian is like Israel in that quietly they’ll eventually make you pay for your misdeeds. If Russian pilot’s had been tortured and treated like American’s had been in the Hanoi Hilton do you think those responsible would have lived a long life afterwards. The way America operates I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the Hanoi Hilton brutal interrogators operated a nail salon in Los Angeles.
