Pro-open borders protesters in Morgan Hill, California slap the US flag to the ground and then march and hold a rally chanting: “This is occupied Mexico”…”This is all our country…we are all Mexicans”…”We want respect”….”Si Se Puede”

Actually I kind of enjoy this. I don’t like to see “old glory” disrespected but in this country if you defend the flag you go to jail. So it’s a battle that can’t be fought at the street level.
But everytime they (the illegals and there anchor babies) disrespect the flag, the “amnesty bill” keeps disappearing from congress “things to do” list. Only a hardcore leftist will push for immigration reform after seeing “old glory” thrown to the ground by foreigners.

Mexico lost that war, and the U.S. didn’t just take all of the southwest, but actually bought a large chunk of it. Many Mexicans in what is now the southwest U.S. wanted independence from Mexico. They didn’t necessarily wnat to be part of the U.S., but were overtaken by events.
Mexico had invited Americans into Texas in order to populate the territory with additional productive, dynamic people. The eventual Texan revolution wasn’t just the Anglos, but included many Mexicans.
These seditious cretins are ignorant and malevolent, and shoud be jailed and/or deported, depending on their status.

But they did this same crap during the Shamnesty bill debate. And how far did that get them? It only drew attention to the fact that they don’t respect the very nation they think should be pandering to them.
Their protesting backfired then; it will backfire now. It will only serve to draw attention to the fact that a) they don’t respect this nation or our flag b) their loyalties still lie with the crap hole they escaped from and c) it will serve to turn the rest of the nation against them.

Firstly, Cinco de Mayo is not and never has been a Mexican national holiday. It is a commericial holiday promoted by the Corona Brewing company along the lines of Oktoberfest and St. Patricks day meant to sell trendy drinks.

Someone needs to educate these punks that the German-Americans acted like just before WWII and little known is that there were camps for some them, just like those Japanese-American camps, which were filled with people who acted like this during WWII (little known factoid is that most of Japanese-Americans were duel nationals who not only refused to renounce there support for Japan, but actually renounced their support for the US during the war).

These groups have had access to the kids, under government endorsement in the schools, for years. They are well financed and foment this type of national socialism and racial division, and it has been tolerated in the schools under the guise of diversity programming.
Part of the Tea Party movement involves taking back the country at all levels, STARTING locally. The leftists recognized the importance of this decades ago, now we’re going to have to take back the school boards, teaching positions and anything else to expunge the leftists from their stranglehold on our kids’ hearts and minds.
All schooling involves indoctrination, to some extent. Part of the purpose is to indoctrinate children into becoming loyal citizens (even if they are illegals). When Californians passed a proposition about a decade ago cutting off illegals from state subsidies (it was overturned by a court — so much for “consent of the governed!”), the final impetus that drove millions of Californians to the polls to vote “Yes” on the proposition was the alarming and enraging sight of thousands of Hispanic youths marching through L.A., vandalizing as they want, and waving hundreds of huge Mexican flags. That did it for Californians.

Uhm Druid, there were many Japanese-Americans in the US forces who fought bravely in Europe, while their families were locked up in the camps.
For example, the Nisei banzai-charged a German position in France, after their Chinese-American commander was shot. They took the position and rolled the Germans.
Where is the movie honoring these men? Yes, it’s nice that the Tuskegee airmen get their honor, but what about the “Asian-Americans” who fought just as bravely?
Even the so called “Tokyo Rose”, Iva Toguri, remained loyal to the US while she was in Japan, where she was stuck thanks to the incompetence of the US government. Thanks to her several Allied POWs survived. These men spoke highly of her afterwards. But the whole trial about her was a farce anyway. Especially when considering that there has never been a single “Tokyo Rose”. Toguri was singled out, and used by guilty Japanese officers to buy their freedom.

Do events like this bring unity, or sow division? Will the white students in the school be more or less likely to show them “respect” after such ridiculous protests? I suggest quite a bit less.
I’ve got no problem with people showing cultural pride, embracing their heritage, etc. I just wish that it was their pride as Americans, not as Mexican-Americans.
