Rahm Emanuel Takes Family to Fine Restaurant in Eilat, Israel… Sticks Israel With the Bill

The Rahm Emanuel Family is visiting Israel. Rahm plans on taking his son, Zach, to Jerusalem’s famous Western Wall for his Jewish coming-of-age ritual. Today his family dined at an expensive restaurant in Eilat. They stuck the Israeli Tourism Ministry with the bill.
Israel National News reported:
White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and his family dined on seafood at an Eilat restaurant and left the bill for the Israeli Tourism Ministry, according to reports in Israeli media. The report was met with consternation by MK Dr. Michael Ben-Ari of the National Union, who wants the bill sent back to Emanuel.
Emanuel is in Israel on a private visit with his parents, his wife, his children and other family members, to make preparations for his son’s upcoming Bar Mitzvah. Upon arrival in Israel Friday, the Emanuels headed for Eilat, where they dined on seafood at a restaurant. After the (unkosher) meal, which included cheviche (citrus marinaded seafood), calamari (fried squid), various fish, salads and hamburgers, the bill was handed over to a Ministry of Tourism representative who accompanied the Emanuels.
Ben-Ari fired off a letter to the Attorney General in which he said: “I was amazed to hear that following the sumptuous meal at the ‘Boston’ restaurant Emanuel handed the bill to a Ministry of Tourism representative who was present. In my humble legal opinion there is no possibility of making the State of Israel pay for such a meal, as part of a private visit by the White House Chief of Staff and his family.”
Several Israelis were already upset that Emanuel would take his son to Jerusalem for his Bar Mitzvah because of the Obama Administration’s hostile policies towards Israel. The fact the Emanuel is sticking Israel with tonight’s dinner bill won’t help any.

Israel wants armament and mil tech, so a small part of the demands by our Dictator In Training Pants is that good ol’ Rahmmie gets his son Bar Mitzvah’d at The Wall, or no deal. In fact, the whole family’s entire trip and all expenses had better be paid for by Israel, ‘or else’.

Yup. That falls under rules accepting gifts … only from THIS report, there was no gift offered, a new twist on official boorishness and noblesse oblige.

Remember, Obama went to Kenya on US taxpayer dime to campaign for a candidate for president of that country – against the sitting president. “chuzpah” actually doesn’t adequately define it. “Illegal” is a start, but doesn’t capture the “chuzpah” of it.

Rahmbo and his family are here on a private visit. Why is he accompanied by a rep from the Israel Ministry of Tourism? This isn’t a state visit, and I sure would like to know how much of this is being stuck on the US taxpayer and the Israeli government (i.e., the Israeli taxpayer). Who’s paying for the flights, the hotels, the travel, the food? An investigation is needed.

So he brings his son to Israel for a religious celebration at the holiest spot in the world (for Jews) and deliberately violates the laws of the religion he is supposed to be teaching his son to honor.
