Pakistani Taliban Deny NY Bomb Claim; Video Released of Suspect

The New York City Police Department released a video of a suspect in the attempted bombing Saturday night in Times Square.

Also today the Pakistani Taliban said that they were not aware of a video attributed to them claiming responsibility for the failed car bomb in New York late on Saturday.

Pakistani Taliban on Monday said they were not aware of a video attributed to them claiming responsibility for the failed car bomb in New York late on Saturday.
The US-based SITE Intelligence Group, which tracks activities of terrorist groups on internet, claimed on Sunday it had discovered a video posted by a group linked with Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on video-sharing website Youtube.
The video purported to show the insurgents taking responsibility for the attempted attack, saying it would have been retribution for the deaths of former Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud and two Islamist militant leaders killed in April in Iraq.
“We don’t know about this video. As far as I know none of our people have posted it. We have no information about it,” TTP’s chief spokesman Azam Tariq said.
The failed car bomb was discovered on Saturday in New York City’s famous Times Square. Smoke emanated from a car packed with propane and gasoline tanks and powder, but there was no explosion.
Pakistani intelligence officials also expressed scepticism that the local Taliban had the capacity to carry out attacks in the US.
“They want to take responsibility for whatever bad happens in the world just to show that they are still active, when they are severely under pressure from Pakistani operations in tribal region,” said an official from military’s Inter Services Intelligence agency.
That’s weird.
So a fake Taliban group posted video claiming responsibility for the attack?
Figure that one out?

ARLINGTON, Va. – Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday there is no question that the person or persons behind the failed bombing attempt in Times Square intended to spread terror across New York.

Holder said it is too early in the probe to say whether the incident was of foreign or domestic origin and that it was too early to designate it as a terrorist incident.
Well that should make everyone feel better… the government is on the case, stating the obvious, then backtracking. It’s a shock that Holder hasn’t called the guy in the video an “alleged bomber” yet.
Must be some kind of Newspeak… the person undoubtedly intended to spread terror, but it is too early to say whether it was a terrorist incident.

WRONG GUY! Note that guy changing shirt walks into view from somewhere else entirely (stage right). Then notice that while he changes his shirt, two people (male & female) stand nearby staring at a pile of garbage. When the guy changing his shirt exits (stage left), the male and female, who came to NY to stare at garbage, exit (stage right), then immediately, a small man (white tee shirt) appears from between the Pathfinder and pile of garbage, WALKING BACKWARDS to the curb! This man was hidden between the Pathfinder & garbage the entire time the shirt changer was dressing himself. WHY? Were the male and female garbage enthusiasts “lookouts.”?

This isn’t the guy. It was hot, and someone stopped to change their shirt. The real guy would have kept moving, knowing a blast was imminent. The city 100% has to have video on the guy leaving the van itself. Times Square is lit up like a movie set, and it was near the Military recruitment center where they previously had video of an anarchist on bike, throwing a handmade grenade.

Agent99, I think its all four of them. White tee shirt is walking backwards cause he’s not sure fuse is lit. Guy and girl (lookouts) split seconds before, thinking fuse is lit. Guy changing shirt is a deliberate diversion for white tee shirt guy. Where did street vendor see the smoke? Under engine compartment? A fuse at front of vehicle would allow escape.
