Miss USA Rima Fakih Is a Champion Pole Dancer

Just our luck… There’s no talent competition in the Miss USA Pageant.
Miss Michigan Rima Fakih won the Miss USA Pageant last night.
It’s not the only contest she’s won… She also won a “Stripper 101″ pole dancing contest in 2007.
Mojo in the Morning has the photos and story.
Mojo In The Morning producers have been contacted by representatives of Miss Universe requesting more photographs and information regarding Miss USA Rimah Fakih’s involvement in the “Stripper 101″ contest. When asked if Fakih’s status as Miss USA was in danger, pageant representatives would not answer.
Rima may want to avoid her family members linked to Hezbollah for a while until this blows over. This latest bit of news may be a bit much for them to handle.

Unless, of course, she is looked at as an ambassador of how liberal and open-minded Muslims REALLY are. Really. Really! No stonings, acid thrown on her, or burying her up to the waist and whipping her. Not for this “ambassador.”
I pray for her protection. Sarcasm aside, she might truly be in danger, if stuff like this and the Miss USA lingerie ads are publicized.

I would like to hear her comments about the appropiateness of a 13 story mosque at ground zero. After her comments about tolerance and religious freedom, maybe a follow-up question about laws which forbid building churches in Muslim countries.

There are also comments on MM that she went to a Catholic school in NY. The Catholic schools in the Detroit area have Muslim students. Going to a Catholic school doesn’t mean you’re Catholic, especially for high school. At least in the Detroit area. Don’t know about New York.

I for one don’t watch these any of these beauty pageants since they’ve become too political. It’s not surprising that Miss Oklahoma was set up with the Arizona law question.
The ironic part is Oklahoma passed a law either one or two years ago cracking down on illegal immigration. Pay no attention to the political connection.
It will be interesting to see if Miss U.S.A. will have her title stripped with these provocative photos of her pole dancing, or whatever type of dancing you call it. We’ll see if the Miss U.S.A. pageant has any consistency, or if they just want to pick and choose who they strip of titles for what they call, “not representing what Miss U.S.A. stands for”.
50 to 1 says the Miss U.S.A. pageant will downplay these photos.

Olm, you’re right. They can lie to us, they can even kill us, as long as it helps islam everything is allowed. Though I’m not sure how this applies to women, who are, in fact, owned like cattle (and more often than not even treated as such) in “true” mohammedan “societies.”
But yeah, she should be careful. Her behavior is very unfitting for a “good muslima.”
Mohammedan girls have been butchered by the family for less. Just recently a 16 year old girl was murdered in Zürich by her own father, for wearing make-up and dressing Western-style.
Though, she might not be a mohammedan. Maybe they were Christians who got out in time, or maybe they’re apostates, which would make life even more dangerous. Remember: the “religion of peace” kills apostates, per orders directly from their “god” and its pedophile prophet.
Personally, I dislike beauty pageants. They’re aiming at presenting women as cute little toys. Hardly fitting for the 21st century, is it?

There are much better questions here. The first being, what was the Miss Michigan pagent like and the second is, after the Carrie P thing last year and the AZ question this year, why would you even want to be in such an obviously biased competition?

Last year we hear about Carrie Prejean and her naughty, naked photos (and whatever was on those videos she made for her boyfriend) and now this year we get a pole dancer. She’s Lebanese. For those who know any Lebanese, that’s enough to say, but those who don’t: To say the Lebanese like to party is an understatement. Most are tri-lingual to start with (Arabic, French & ENglish) BEFORE they pick up another language.
Our kids went to school in French schools in Africa. Half their classmates were Lebanese so we’ve been to our share and more of Lebanese birthday parties, which are always too much food and too much music and frankly … okay fun. It’s not often you take your nine-year old daughter to a birthday party at the disco bar, but they won the places.
Given that, it’s still very family-oriented, more G-rated than it first appears. The pole dancing seemed odd at first to have only women in the audience, but then it fits with the Lebanese circuit.
Our Lebanese neighbor wives would fast for Ramadan, then spend the rest the year on random fasting days to “make up” Ramadan fasting days they’ve skipped. They were superb hostesses, prepared for guests at any moment, admirable, in fact. Not sure they have much of a life beyond clothes shopping, cooking blow out meals and disco, nightclub stuff. Kayaking and hiking activities aren’t their “thing.” Business is, may women run their own shops – expensive shops.
I do not know how the women stay slim. Various ridiculous fad diets, because when they set the meal on the table, it goes for hours and hours and course after course after course. Three desserts? And it’s impolite not to have a serving of each.

you shouldn’t jump to conclusions. Quite a few Lebanese immigrants are Maronite Catholics. In fact,the world’s richest man, Carlos Sim is Mexican Lebanese, whose parents fled persecution in the early 1900′sto come to Mexico.
I understand that she attended H.S. Catholic school. I heard she has Muslims and Catholics in her family, but I doubt if she were “of Muslim faith” she would be competing in the Miss USA competition.
For example, there is an Arab Idols, and the women are dressed in burquas.
