“We need a quarterback on the field like the law says he’s supposed to be. He’s not supposed to be the commentator in the booth.”
As crude oil continued to ooze through the marshes in Louisiana, Barack Obama flew to California to hold 3 fundraisers with liberal Senator Barbara “Ma’am” Boxer yesterday. Tomorrow he goes on his second vacation since the oil rig blew up in May.
Via FOX Nation:
Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA) today called on the President and the Army Corps of Engineers to approve Louisiana’s sand berm oil protection plan before time runs out.

This disaster has the Obama adminstration and environmentalsits jumping for joy. The bigger the disaster the more regulation and resistance to further oil development.
The enviro-nazi’s within the obama adminstration are dead set on the destruction of our country, and this disaster is just the item they will us to hasten our fall.
Already Obama is spitting out dribble about alternative energy sources which will cost billions and never acheive the energy output of a small oil and gas well.
As they say in Texas, grab your ankles we are fixin to get a good screwin without the greese.

Yep, our very own dear reader is called out in the 1990 OPA as the quarterback on the field … not the reader on the teleprompter.
It’s in section 4201 and amended by 311 of the 1994 implementation plan. It’s also the implementation plan that calls out for the federal government to have the fire booms stored and at the ready in case of an offshore well blowout.
The plan also says they determined fire booms at the well site immediately was the best way to contain the spill. Time was of the essence. Not sure they were talking of 36 days though.
Just proves, gigantic government is worth not a penny.

All the Gulf Coast’s States Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas are Red States. This is Obama’s way of punishing his opponents.
The fact that his poll numbers are down to 42% approval is comforting to know because it means we are finally turning things around where Obama is now on the defensive. The real problem for Obama is when his poll numbers get into the 30’s; the Stock Market will do poorly.
He’s under a lot of pressure and all he can say is blame Bush or call everyone a racist. I think that by November he’ll be an over cooked turkey just in time for Thanksgiving.

Palinfan commented:
It is stunning to think that much of the disaster hangs on a permit – a PERMIT that the Governor of Louisiana can’t get from the Army Corp of Engineers. It is clear, as Limbaugh pointed out, that Obama is holding this up to milk the disaster for all it’s worth.
Question is, why? What are they thinking? Even though these are red states, certainly there are blue districts that are going to be furious with this non-response. Additionally, the environmentalist movement, for all their having thrown their principles under the bus for Obama, can’t possibly stand idly by and blame this on anyone but him any more. Do I think he’s going to use this to implement more government control? Absolutely. Do I think he’s going to pay a worse price come election time because of this? Probably.
gus commented:
Obama is simply incompetent. He has no idea how to freaking tie his own shoes.

Obama is directly responsible for failing to respond to the largest environmental disaster in the history of the United States. His future presidential library should be located on that very oil rig offshore.
TXPatriot commented:
I can’t help but think that this is going to cost Odumbo support from his base. Remember, it was his BASE that screamed about Bush not doing enough fast enough in Katrina. He had fed assistance there less than a week after that happened. It’s now been 36 days, and we get a press conference.
Tennessee flooded, California has no water, Arizona has illegals the feds won’t deal with, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and possibly several Eastern seaboard states will be hit hard with this oil spill, Nevada has been slammed in the recession as well as Michigan and many others. Virginia and 17 other states are suing over Obamacare.
I’m curious how many states they plan on making blood-red angry at them. I mean somewhere here, there is a tipping point that everyone will turn on him because they will all have direct, personal reasons to. You tell me this is a good plan to have and hold power for very long in a country as diverse and vast as ours.

Look: Obama doesn’t need to know jack squat, but the people behind him who pull his strings do. Obama is a believer in the communist way of thinking and will do what ever needs to be done. he doesn’t need to think, just react. He hates everything this country has stood for, and his actions and reactions prove it. Lets list some
he returned the bust of Churchill, he showed Israel the soles of his shoes, he left Bibi standing on his own and went to dinner, he bowed to every dictator and thug he could find. He refused to say a word of encouragement to the greens in Iraq, he sided with the dictator wanna be in Columbia. Refused to allow the armed forces to maintain order in Hatti, Tennessee was thrown under the bus, he sides with Mexico against a state of the union. Some much more that would take hours to type, and yet he still has 42% that say he’s doing a good job?

But… when was the last time this Regime followed the law? Apparently, they either do not know the law or simply ignore it.
And, when was the last time the Fed did anything correct?
They are on their own. The Regime is happy to oblige with a disaster like this.
HandyBill commented:
Once again, here is an argument for states rights. A state has the right to do what is best for itself. Not to have to sit around waiting for the imperial federal government to bless the findings of an inept EPA and Corps. Having decisions this critical made on a central level take no consideration as to the criticality of the decision. And we wonder why the founding fathers created a republic where each state could make its own decisions.
Jindal, do what’s right for your state. Tell the feds to piss off. The people will stand behind your leadership. Obama is punishing you for being a red state, get used to it.

irony is, Bush did NOT interfere with States Rights.. yet he got blamed

day before the retainer wall broke (btw, all in all, more whites perished

Look, it’s a disaster? Yes. Will it eventually be cleaned up and will everyone go on with their lives? Yes. But what I find annoying and frustrating is that this will be the issue that is BHO’s Waterloo for his former cult members. Not immigration. Not taxes. Not financial disaster. But oil that will be cleaned up or naturally dispersed by the sea. Yes, I feel for the families that will lose their livelihoods during this period of time, however many are cashing the checks. I don’t have that fallback. Then again, if anything hastens BHO’s fall I welcome it. Just funny how it’s not something like spending $100B/year on supporting law breaking non citizens and their anchor babies.
