Like Holder… Janet Napolitano Rejects Arizona Immigration Law She Hasn't Read …Update: Add the State Department Spokesman to the List

We’re starting to see a definite pattern of incompetence here.
It’s not just Attorney General Eric Holder who passes judgement on an immigration bill before he reads the law. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano confessed yesterday that she hasn’t found the time yet to review “in detail” the Arizona immigration law… But, she rejects the law anyway.

So do these people read any piece of legislation before they pass it or comment on it?
Just wondering.
UPDATE: The State Department Spokesperson also admitted he hasn’t read the 20 page bill but that he doesn’t like it.

This is a message coming from the President: BO does not require the people who report directly to him to do their homework before they attend hearings. If he required them to be up to speed, they would be.
Just as obviously, nobody in the Democratic Party at the national level cares, either.

There is no way that she has not read this law. Same for Eric “the Coward” Holder. It is a relatively short (10 page) bill that anyone who looks at legalese for a living would consume in a few minutes.
Given a certainty that they have read relevant parts of a short, important bill, why lie?
The BO spin machine has decided it is less embarrassing to lie about having read the bill (play dumb – easy for these two) than admit that 1070 almost completely parallels the federal law they are sworn to uphold.

I suspect they are lying or purposely avoiding reading the law or the 2 page summary the AZ legislature put out. If they acknowledge reading it then their statements reveal their incompetence with the law. Not a good revelation for so called lawyers. Also, it would reveal an ignorance of currently running programs and court decisions
NYC has run a stop and frisk program for over a decade – stopping with tenuous “reasonable suspicion” has been upheld by the courts over and over
1st Circuit Court of Appeals recently affirmed an officer who developed reasonable suspicion of illegal immigrant status during a traffic stop, checked with ICE and transported the individuals to ICE – So acting on reasonable suspicion of illegal status developed during a lawful stop is at least legal in Rhode Island.
If it is unconstitutional for state and local law enforcement to turn over someone suspected of violating federal law to the appropriate federal agency – well, I’m sure that will be good news to drug dealers and gun runners. If the state develops a case, they won’t be able to bring in the feddies.

They have all read the bill and know that the AZ law does not profile anyone. But this isn’t about AZ’s immigration bill its about politics. Obama needs the Hispanic vote and will pretend to care about Illegals because its a good issue. I doubt they will do anything more than talk because this is not a hot button issue that plays well in an election year.
Remember how Obama pretended to care about Arlen Spector. Now he doesn’t even return his calls.

…A person would have to be aggressively ignorant to think these executive tools haven’t read the AZ bill.. So, where’s the common thread among Obama’s, Holder’s, Napalitano’s, Posner’s and now Crowley’s statements?
It’s in their feeeeling the law is wrong..as in POTUS,”misguided,” and Holder,”I don’t think its neccessarily a good idea” and Napalitano, “It is a bad law, I wouldn’t have signed a law of this ilk.” They all are saying this ‘immigration thing’, like healthcare, global warming, like abortion,is a ‘settled science.’ Judgment made and passed by Judge and Jurist, Obama and his circle of transformational insiders. They will tell us what we should believe.. rule of law be shredded. Rule of Obama..that’s the directive du jour.

It’s time for Americans to defend themselves against these flagrant attacks on our laws, our Constitution and our right to live securely within the sovereign borders of our States in our sovereign Republic.

Called one of Sen. Cornyn’s offices to ask if he had read SB1070. Staffer said, “I don’t believe he has, it’s a state issue not a federal issue.”
I also called TX Attorney General Greg Abbott’s Press office to see if AG Abbott had authorized Austin’s boycott of SB1070. The guy said (something to the effect) the City of Austin(Council and Mayor) is separate from the State. They can do what they want. He got a little mad when he thought I was grouping the two together.
