CA has grown government and shrunk the private sector, just as Greece has. The math is unavoidable. Government has not a penny it doesn’t take from the private sector. The debate in CA, as in Greece, is not over how to grow the pie but who gets what share of a progressively smaller one. This is what is meant by “progressive” in CA.
Riddle me this: If Keynesian economics and massive deficit spending works, why are the economies of CA and Greece failing?

In 2008, there were over 1,000,000 new citizens naturalized! A million!. What country does that? None. And for 2009 over 700,000 naturalized. And Of the totals 15 % were from Mexico.
111,000 for ’08 and 85,000 for ’09.
That is NOT broken! That immigration system is working well, very well.

The way the LA budget is looking, Villaraigosa ought to be careful using phrases like “economic might.”
His give-aways to public employee unions have busted the city’s budget almost beyond hope of repair. Bankruptcy cannot be ruled out.

It is clear that Mexico is a country but should be a continent. The Gringos stole Los Angeles from Mexico and now it is time to re-unite it with Mexico.
Study after study has show that illegal immigration has more benefits than so called detriments – to those here illegally…health care, WIC cards, non-taxed income and I could go on and on.
Clearly, our immigration system is broken. There are too many Asians and New Yorkers allowed in here than Mexicans. So, we must find a legal path to citizenship for all illegal Mexicans. Just look at how easy NY bomber Faisal Shahzad got his citizenship through marriage loop hole while Mexican are just eating the worm.
Illegal immigrants are economic might that brings in high quality crack and Mexican Mud to South Central Los Angeles. Good coke doesn’t just walk itself across the boarder. No! Some Mexican must bring it across!
One last thing before I get into my Limousine, there are over 12 million illegal immigrants living in California and in particular Little Mexico…err, I mean Los Angeles. It is about time to grant them amnesty. Hasta la vista, US Constitution!
