Charles Krauthammer called the Obama Administration “lawless” after a top official today announced that the administration will not process illegals referred by Arizona.

Charles Krauthammer on the Administration’s refusal to process illegal immigrants referred by Arizona:

I think its a perfect example of the arrogance and near lawlessness of this administration. Look, the Constitution requires that the federal government ensures that every state has republic form of government. Last time I checked Arizona does. There is no allegation that the immigration law in Arizona was passed in any way but legally… If the president doesn’t like he has an option. He can instruct the Department of Justice to go and have a judge strike it down. And, if likes he can get an injunction. In the meantime that will suspend it until its Constitutionality is ruled upon. In the meantime it’s as legal of law as any law in the land. For the executive (branch) to say that we’re going to ignore it or we’re going to un-enforce immigration in this state on account of this is lawless.

  1. Big deal…K is one like Bill O that think O is just peachy…you know before 52% of U.S. voted for him…mclame thought he was a great guy….sorry K too little too late..

unless you can hire an investigator to bring this group down through the Shore Bank scam, we are not impressed.

  2. It is a clear violation of federal law. Other states have to step up and join Arizona.

  3. I’m three sheets to the wind doo doo faced and I can see this. DUHHHHH! Intelligent my ass. powder is dry.

  4. You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

And — unlike in the 1940′s — this time, there’s no ‘America’ out there who’ll come and save us when the State begins to (inevitably) pile up the bodies.

  5. …like cordwood.

  6. Hi there guys! You MUST ABSOLUTELY watch this: “LTC Allen West speaks on illegal immigration.” I found that video on http://us4palin.com

    This guy is just FANTASTIC!

As much as I love Sarah Palin I also love and admire West. They both would make the best team ever.

There are no such great folks here Down Under which is a great pity.

  7. Obama is begging for a violent revolt. When the government doesn’t follow it’s own laws, we need follow them either.

  8. John Morton of ICE said he doesn’t have to process deportation referrals from Arizona. Because ICE doesn’t deal with state laws.

The Dems wanted to use this Immigration Bill to get the Hispanic Vote. But this has now become a bigger issue. Do we or do we not follow the law in this country?

  9. They’re making their own “rules” up as they go along. Unfortunately, I’ve got a bad vibe about this country leading up to the next election. The iron fist of the elitist marxist regime is going to do everything thing it can to hold on to the majority in congress they have.

  10. The Kraut is brilliant on most things, but he’s late, late, late to the party on Zero and his commie admin.

For goodness’ sake, he works for the same network as Beck, a one-man 60 Minutes (essentially), who has gone into excrutiating detail about all of Zero’s radical connections and his big-time scheme.

If you missed Thursday’s TV show, Beck showed how the ball got rolling with a Carter buddy advocating for the Community Reinvestment Act, while all his counterparts looked on in horror at giving home loans to bad risks. The advocate is now the CFO at Shore Bank, Barack’s filthy $$ “institution” at his old stomping grounds.

The circle was incredible. It includes all the far lefties you usually hear Beck talk about as well as Hillary Clinton’s college roommate, Tony Rezko, Obama’s mother and her connection with Geithner’s dad.

All of these people should be in prison as well as the congresspeople for aiding and abetting.

Thieves have to make restitution. Obama and his crew (as well as union bosses, Goldman-Sachs and all the taken-over businesses) should have to “make whole” the US taxpayers. We could have an entire prison full of these treasonous corruptocrats.

  11. This administration is many things: gutless, nutless, brainless, factless, spineless, etc.

So does lawless really surprise us?

  12. Rush said today that any other President would realize that he is on a loser with this issue but Obama seems to thrive on hurting Americans.

It is very important that we vote Republican in November. We need checks and balances. I think Obama fears a Republican Congress more than anything else and this is the reason for all this insanity.

  13. It’s social justice, don’t you know.

Laws of men always ends badly.

  14. These guys going on tv with sound bites just reminds everyone how pathetic and helpless the right is today. After years of clever sound bites, they still have a paycheck and we have no country.

  15. I’ve known a lot of leftists over the years, and yes it is true: Leftists do have contempt for law.

  16. The republicans have become willing, junior partners in the Oligarchy on the promise from the Democrats that they will share power with them. They are fools, the Bolshevics NEVER share power OR allow their opponents to survive. This will devolve into armed resistance to restore the Constitution.

  17. Sandy #14,
It is very important that we vote CONSERVATIVE, REAGAN Republican in November…RINOs will take us off the cliff, too, just more slowly.

  18. So, are we a United States of America (with 50 member states), or a US of Obummer (with only the states Obummer likes)?

I feel a civil war coming — or else, secession by some of the so-called “united” states!
    .

  19. Check this out –

A caravan of SEIU buses receive a Metropolitan (D.C.) Police Department escort to a private home in Maryland where the protesters, from all appearances, violate Montgomery County law by engaging in a stationary protest. The Montgomery County police were not informed by their cross-jurisdictional colleagues of the impending, unusually large protest pending in their jurisdiction.

What’s up with that? Had the mob decided to torch the house, the D.C. police would not have been authorized to intervene. Not their jurisdiction. They’re just escorts. Meanwhile, a teenage boy is home alone, frightened by what’s happening outside his front door.

The man whose house was picketed was a Bank of America executive Greg Baer.

  20. nadadhimmi — What’s your alternative? Do you have a problem with Paul Ryan, Erik Cantor, Sarah Palin, Jan Brewer or Chris Christie? I know one thing the Republicans stand for keeping this country free. Give them numbers so they can win on some of these issues and stop moaning.

  21. I’m beginning to believe that the Republican elites ( the ones we need to replace ) are making back room deals with this filthy cadre of scum. You can call J.D. Hayworth all the names you want, but McCain is a large part of the problem and has to go. McConnell has to go, we need to replace the whole Senate.

  22. Any legal types here? A big question.

Let’s see you get arrested and charged with a federal violation of some sort. Could you justifiably argue that there is no crime- if the federal government refuses to enforce the immigration law, that it should not be enforcing any law, therefore, there should be no punishment for federal crimes? I know this is a reach, however, if I were in jail on federal charges, I’d look into it

  23. Sandy you said that Moron *sic* at ICE used the excuse that ICE doesn’t enforce State laws.
Arizona isn’t asking ICE to enforce it’s law.
It is handing over FEDERAL LAW VIOLATORS.

  24. If Obama grants illegals amnesty and the right to vote, then if there isn’t hell to pay…..America will be lost……lost due to inaction.

  25. Joanne. This is not by accident.

  26. patchwork of state laws = states’ rights

Obama, et al can find “rights” like sucking a baby’s brain out in the Constitution…but they just cannot understand our government’s basic duties.

  27. Bitter Clinger is right. Charles is late to this party, especially when he made the comment that the refusal to act on Arizona’s request to take their captured illegals is a court actionable offense. The laughter! The laughter! Charles, when will you realize they don’t care about the law? Of the three branches of government, the least effective in times of a revolution (and we are in one) is the judicial. Unless Roberts intends to get off the bench, take off his robe, strap on a six shooter and take action himself he is basically toothless as are all the courts in a communist/hard line socialist state. That is why they call them show trials.

    Duh!!

As for protesters being bussed to my house to protest me. Well, I’ll address that at my website out of respect for Jim’s commitment to the Gandhi theory of resistance.

oh he not only gets it, but the only who dared speak it..

and for those of us who haven’t got a clue about the legal system, he made everything perfectly clear.. heck, what do you think he meant by “This Administration is Lawless “.. iow: he knows they are ignoring the

  31. Been pushing this all day:

The issue at hand is that the POTUS and his cabinet officials who are tasked with implementing his political vision via behemouth US government bureaucracies mouthed off in striking unison that SB1070 is “racist” that it “profiles,” that it’s “abusive” and “mean.” ON what basis do they assert that when they didn’t read it? THat’s why Janet Napolitano backpedalled, “AH, ah…” That’s why Eric Holder mumbled, “Um …I…I …I.”

Holder KNOWS he has no grounds, but he as Attorney General of the entire USA was intoning publically all sorts of JUDGMENTS against it, PREJUDICING the public against it. Using the full force of the authority of the US government and the stature of the office of the Attorney General to PREJUDICE the NATION against the State of Arizona. Holder KNOWS he’s wrong and he was covering his legal butt. Justice ain’t blind with him, is it?
Meanwhile, while our Attorney General and our Homeland Security are busy jacking DOMESTIC public opinion against AZ, our President and State Department are actively working on PREJUDICING FOREIGN nations against Arizona. The only saving grace at the moment is that the Chinese think Asst. Secretary of State Posner is a stupid idiot, so they dismiss most of what he says.

This actually predates the coming to power of the Obama cabal. The federal government cannot pick and choose which laws it is going to enforce, any more than we can pick and choose which laws we are going to obey.

When one party breaks the contract, then the relationship must be adjusted, and the party that breaks the contract must be put in their place.

Right now it is the federal government that is breaking their contract in a number of areas, such as immigration, spending, and interference into the lives of Americans, and it is the federal government that must be put in its place.

  35. With the released statement of John Morton, assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement referenced in another post on this website, the federal government has effectively and in fact actually abrogated its position of responsibility for the issue.

It is therefore incumbent upon the states to initiate action to protect the rights and liberties of their respective citizens. It is also incumbent upon the states to intercept a sufficient and proportionate measure of tax receipts en route to the federal government in order to be able to perform this additional function.

ok, as i have pointed out several
times in the past several years..

there are distinct, definite & definitive patterns to

…’but they just cannot understand our government’s basic duties…’

I don’t think they don’t understand government’s basic duties, I think they are intentionally debasing and deconstructing the Constitution. The regime knows the Constitution is a bulwark against socialism. Although they pay lip service to it,when it suits their purpose, they ignore it. For example, they know one of their first duties is to secure the border, but they have no intention of securing the border. They’re using the issue as a cynical means to agitate, like Alinsky, so Obama can ridicule those ‘rule of law advocates’ for his own political gain.
For example, watch and see what happens to Governor Brewer’s request made today for repositioning of national guard helicopters from other States to Arizona to help patrol the border. Will Obama send help? Will he even respond to Brewer? No way. This regime is intentionally disregarding its duties for political expediency {midterm elections} so they can rescue as many of their party hacks as they can from November’s reckoning.

    …………………

That actually was a rebut to a complainer regarding my lengthy comment on the “Obama Doctrine” applied to Arizona = “I don’t know the facts, but the police acted stupidly.”

    http://sonoranalliance.com/2010/05/20/arizona-meets-the-obama-doctrine/

Obama’s reaction to the AZ law is the same as his reaction to Sgt Crowley and Prof Gates, just at a more comprehensive level of intimidation of law enforcement.

  42. “For the executive (branch) to say that we’re going to ignore it or we’re going to un-enforce immigration in this state on account of this is lawless.”

Not a big deal that they are going to ignore or unenforce state law. They are already ignoring and unenforcing federal law.

  43. When you start picking which laws to enforce, you are one step away from Chavez.

  44. The abuse of power by the executive branch is absolutely staggering…..

oh yes, and i understand it, however, while your view is, more or less, aimed at a specific target, mine stretches around the equator so to speak.. :D , iow: your point is contained within mine (think babushka.. :D ), which, more or less, covers the whole gamut..

besides, as far as Arizona goes.. we ain’t seen nothin’ yet.. and it’s so frustrating, there are really no words to describe Obama ‘s undignified words & actions.. but one thing is for certain, they don’t even come close
    to being presidential..

sad but true bottom line: Obama spiels are intentionally & purposely constructed & worded not only to influence whichever group is being targeting, but demeans the traditions of the majority of Americans, most especially Christians (again babushka, aka: the majority within the majority..

since the majority of US don’t count.. not only does he intentionally distort history and ignore reality, but he exhibits disdain for “we the people” every time he opens his mouth via totally ignoring the fact that we even exist..

you know what i mean, he puts on his some
‘sort of god’ act.. like he’s above US all.. :p

  48. Thanks bg!

Agree. My focus at the moment is drawing attention to the fact that these are all acts of pre-conditioning a population to accept unequal application of the law – favoring one group over another, punishing one group unfairly and to an end of clearing the field for vigilant violence against a target group. It takes time, but it’s a systematic propaganda of isolating one group, stereotyping it, creating expectations of behavior, innuendos of wrong-doing (“racism”) (“greedy corporations”)

You are very aware of this, but let’s review it to keep it fresh in people’s minds: The purple-shirt professional mob that arrived at the home of a Bank of AMerica executive is classic communist intinmidation. They are indistinguishable from the professional CHavez mob that arrives to deliver land seizure annoucements to land-owners. Sign or … get the crap beaten out of you. The appeals to the general public are emotional, justifying breaking the law because the person or persons targetted are so “rotten” they “don’t deserve” protection of the law. A form of lynching, for it’s delivering a legal decision produced out of a rabble, not a court. Like the global warming phrase, “everyone agrees, the science is settled,” the mob works on “everyone agrees, the law is settled: guilty.” No court, no examination of evidence, no impartial consideration. Everyone “KNOWS” it’s true.

The communists call it “salami-slicing.” All the humanitarian disasters we’ve been involved in were the result of one group demonizing another to gain political power, specifically to remove political rivals by taking them and their entire voter base OUT.

The Hutu slaughter of the Tutsi was carefully planned, based in a long-seated ethnic rivalry and a rejection of a coalition Hutu-Tutsi government, brokered by the UN. The Hutu extremists were NOT going to power-share with any Tutsi, so they designed a “final solution” to their Tutsi problem, starting with taking out moderate Hutus who were agreeable to power-sharing. The Hutu employed and enhanced every negative stereotype of the Tutsi known to Hutus, concocted all sorts of “abuses” dished by the Tutsi out to the Hutu, and used the media to relentlessly broadcast this toxic propaganda to Hutus nationwide. Many Hutus actually believed from this that they were under seige by the Tutsi.

We have not seen anything like this in the USA because of the general societal culture of Rule of Law. But decades of Liberal Left value-mashing in schools, and emotional appeals instead of rational appeals to people have conditioned already many into an easy willingness to throw out laws for “emotions.”

It’d be useful to shift it from “Progressive Left” to “Progressive Sinister.”
Better displays what those two words together really mean.

  49. It’s not lawlessness, Dr K., if you recognize the law for what it is: it’s a weapon to use in the culture wars against your enemies. And you stuck-in-the-mud, hidebound, law-and-order types are the enemy. It’s called “Lawfare”. It’s embraced by Obama and his goons now running Washington. So understood, there’s nothing inconsistent about refusing to enforce federal immigration laws; especially when understand that one man’s “illegals” are another man’s fresh recruits that will join the battle on your side of the line.

  50. This is all just talk until the law is effective.

Once this law is in place, then IF the CHIEF law enforcement officer in the land REFUSES to obey the law, then clearly he must be removed from that position.
