Boy, the leftists behind this show have no shame. None.
Just in time for Memorial Day… The Family Guy mocks dead US soldiers from Vietnam War.

  1. Being as outrageous as possible, in the end, doesn’t really buy you very much. Eventually you just come across as an attention whore.

  2. To me, not so much offensive as painfully mediocre.

Imagine this: Somebody (several somebodies, in fact) got paid boatloads to write that! And they all sat around congratulating each other on how funny and “edgy” it was.

Whoever did this video has about ten thousand more times the talent and humor as the entire Family Guy writing staff:

  3. What’s really sad is that people watch this. This truly is becoming an “idiocracy.”

  5. I think you need to chill a bit on this one — the expressions of the two guys witnessing the Viet-dork at the wall are the message here. But it is at best a very lame piece of comedy, more unfair to the Vietnamese (who are pretty pro-American, as I understand it) than anybody else. If they really wanted to be edgy, the writers could have shown a Vietnamese protester with a sign saying “All this, and we still end up Communist?”

  6. Bad idea.

I wonder if this will encourage BO to demand his own monument?

  7. Another reason to not watch a show I already ignore.

  8. So let me see if I have this straight- we have a high school sports team boycotting an ENTIRE state, but we as common good people, cannot boycott this show, the sponsors and the network?

Let’s all step up on this and put some very real $$$$ pressure on the network.

  9. Actually, I found the “Barack Obama Memorial” to be the (slightly) more offensive piece of a this segment–I suppose we’re all supposed to still get a chuckle over the old joke about black men’s phalluses, because the left is oh-so-over-race, etc., that. . .whatever. And I agree with the previous posters that the whole thing is just lame. Lame humor posing as satire–now THAt is a sign of decline in our national character, if you ask me. The Simpsons was a funny show that because the locus of humor was always Homer and, through Homer, ourselves. But just as our president has trouble laughing at himself, so does the left in general, and Fanily Guy, to me, epitomizes that failure.

  10. Certain sacrifices are not to be made fun of for any purpose. Not suggesting censorship, but self restraint considering that if you happened to be human, you might understand how many families are still feeling the tragic loss of the Vietnam War. There is nothing funny about a war that cost 50,000 American lives.

Of course, Jane Fonda, Walter Cronkite, and every other NewYork/Hollywood media Commie actively worked to raise that US casualty total by directly aiding and comforting the enemy. What a shame the same community sees fit to mock the lives their predecessors helped to destroy. Go to Hell after a painful, protracted illness, unfunny-Family-Guy-writer moron.

  11. I never liked Family Guy. I saw parts of one episode a long time ago and absolutely dislike the drawing style. Plus it’s just not funny for me.

So yeah, I’m not watching it now, have never watched it and will never watch it.

  12. That’s nothing! On the episode titled “Brian and Stewie” from two weeks ago, Stewie tricks Brian into eating sh*t and then eating some vomit.

Brian, drunk, depressed and at the lowest point in his life admits he has done something “worse” — he then says he voted for McCain.

    It’s an hour long special.

  13. The show is not funny and never has been. Mcfarlane just tries to be as offensive as possible, thinking its funny…..much like an 8 year old.

  14. I hate when they do stuff like this, but otherwise it’s a pretty funny show. They are always doing outrageous things, you can’t take it too seriously or personally.

  15. No offense, but looking to “Family Guy” for fair-and-balanced social commentary is like looking in Penthouse Magazine for brownie recipes.

The show is pretty much abusive to everyone so if you don’t like that kind of humor, don’t watch it. They pretty much make fun of the handicapped, blind and mentally challenged on a daily basis.

  16. Folks shouldn’t watch this show, nor should posts like this be made. The best weapon against this is to ignore them. Otherwise, this will only encourage them.

  17. I hate to admit it but, I love the show. Some of the stuff is a little too silly, but it appears to me that everyone gets insulted. Stewie is my favorite.
Oh and that Obama memorial, laughed at loud.

  18. It’s one thing to be bitterly leftist, but to be unfunny as well . . . I don;t get why this show is still on the air. It sucks even when it’s not political.

The ripping South Park gave it was well-deserved.

  19. That joke have been a bit over the line, but we really need to remember the difference between shock-comedy and endorsement. Comedy relies heavily on social taboos and has since the dawn of time: saying they endorse rubbing the nose of Vietnam vets in the dirt is like saying that anyone who makes a fart joke admires flatulence. Just because someone built a giant black Obama monument and a Vietnamese man mocked the dead vets doesn’t mean they endorse the behavior, just that they’re aware that society wouldn’t, thus making it taboo, and thus making it “shock-comedy” material.

  20. Now, if they really wanted to be funny,

    “Vietnam! Undefeated!”

    Vet pulls .45. “BANG!”

That’s how South Park would do it.

  21. The reason Family Guy gets away with this stuff is that they pretty much abuse everyone equally. In a way it is refreshing to have something so “politically incorrect” on.

Hate to admit it, but i find it hilarious (even Stewie’s daily plots to murder his own mother). It’s just one of those shows you watch and say “gawd” to yourself about 10 times in a half hour.

South Park is Romper Room compared to the abuse these guys hurl.

    “giggety!”

  22. I’ve never watched this show, now even less.
I can’t see whats so funny about a guy that looks like he has a pair of testicles resting on his chin. Obscene to me.

  23. So what’s new? The hippies, lefties, and cowards (okay, I know, redundant) have been crapping on Viet Nam Vets dead or alive for over forty years. Why would anyone think they’d quit now?

  24. Find and post a list of sponsors for this garbage and the people will take them down.

  25. I wonder if they were standing in front of my dad’s name there. Naw~ I didn’t find it funny.

  26. The last thing Seth MacFarlane wants anyone to do is to stop complaining about his show. He writes this stuff to offend, and he seeks to offend everyone. And he is offensive, crude, vulgar and profane. Every time the conservative end of the internet goes bonkers over something on his show, he gets a charge out of it. It feeds the monster.

That being said, the Obama Monument gag was very funny.
