Dick Morris: Sestak Bribery Scandal Is Impeachable Offense (Video)

“It is illegal to offer someone anything of importance or value in return for a vote, or running or not running for office.”
Dick Morris was on with Sean Hannity tonight to discuss the Joe Sestak bribe scandal. Morris noted that if the Obama Administration offered Sestak a position in government in order to keep him from running for US Senator, this would be an impeachable offense.
Attorney General Eric Holder ducked questions about how the Justice Department has followed up on Rep. Joe Sestak’s (D-Pa.) claim that the White House offered him a high-ranking government job in exchange for dropping out of a contested Democratic Senate primary.

Dick Morris certainly IS the source of the story! The entire point of the story is about MORRIS’S take/analysis/opinion of the Sestak issue. Fox screen says “no inappropriate job offer” was made. If this is an accurate quote, it obviously leaves the door open (ie they used a modifier instead of just saying no job offer was made). It’s easy to ridicule parsing these things, but those in power take language very seriously. They go to great lengths to control public opinion and discourse.

You’re mistaken. Dick Morris is not the source of the story about the job offer. Joe Sestak is the source. He told many people, including reporters, that he was offered a job in exchange for dropping out of the race.
That’s exactly as illegal as offering a cash bribe. It is certainly an impeachable offense.

A note of caution: it is not beyond the realm of possibility that this is just another diversion to get our eyes off the prize, or prizes. There are several failures of the Obama administration in progress, the Leftists in Congress are trying to ram more Socialism and nationalization of industry down our throats, they are allowing what should have been a controllable oil spill to become an international disaster, and the Sestak issue may just be a smoke screen to distract our attention with a big juicy (but later to be proved to be nothing after all) red meat steak. Cassius Clay called it “rope a dope”. Just be wary and keep focused on the issues we can impact: the November elections at the ballot box, not a pie-in-the-sky impeachment that requires cooperation from the Dems in Congress, which is against all odds, and would only replace one incompetent Leftist with another…or another worse one after that one if Biden is also implicated.

Sestak says he was offered a job in order to drop out of the Senate race. He has said it several times, and statements Gibbs has made corroborate that at the least there was a conversation.
This is a federal felony crime, and someone in the White House is involved. One can only suppose that the president knew about this.

I heard about this yesterday and thought I would stroke out.
Reminds me of the time my department had a commander from the London Metropolitan Police come over to visit. He took a look around at all the weapons we carried (it was a bad city) and asked this question- “Have you ever tried to police without guns?” To which I answered, “It would be a bad idea. It would make us the only unarmed people in the city. And there would be a chance we would end up in our own patrol car trunks, after being robbed.”
He still suggested we try it. He wasn’t stupid or evil, just naive. It wasn’t long after that his nation began suffering the ravages of immigration. The Jamaicans, the Russians, the Eastern Europeans came in with their drugs and organized crime. No longer did the police have the ability to simply say, “You are pinched.” and the bad guys gave up, like good civilized Brits would.

Impeachment is one thing and conviction is another. Only two Presidents have been impeached and neither convicted. This President is impeachable simply by virtue of his failure to uphold the oath he took to defend and protect the Constitution which is surely more serious than this current issue which is assuredly a felony.
