Well, this is comforting…
Only 4% of Pakistanis speak well of America.

Ideas considered extreme a decade ago are now mainstream. A private survey carried out by a European embassy based in Islamabad found that only four per cent of Pakistanis polled speak well of America; 96 per cent against.
Although Pakistan and the US are formal allies, in the public perception the US has ousted India as Pakistan’s number one enemy. Remarkably, anti-US sentiment rises in proportion to aid received. Say a good word about the US, and you are labelled as its agent. From what TV anchors had to say about it, Kerry-Lugar’s $7.5bn may well have been money that the US wants to steal from Pakistan rather than give to it.
Pakistan is not the only country where America is unpopular. In pursuit of its self-interest, the US has waged illegal wars, bribed, bullied and overthrown governments, supported tyrants and undermined movements for progressive change. Paradoxically America is disliked more in Pakistan than in countries which have born the direct brunt of its attacks — Cuba, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
And just think… It was only a few months ago that Hillary Clinton said the US was turning the page with Pakistan.

I am not impressed that the Pakistani’s don’t like us. It would be nice if we were liked, and this article makes me think about all those from Pakistan I have met on college campuses, business, and in society in general. I generally like the people.
As to them not liking the USA, so what? I refuse to kiss some arrogant Muslim’s butt just because they don’t like the way I live my life.

Check this out. 5 years ago, my brother was the militart attache to the Embassy in Islamabad. Cpt. USAF. One of his Pakistani counterparts told him that NOT ALL PAKISTANI’s want AMERICANS dead.
My brother asked him how many Pakistani’s want us dead. The Pak. Capt said about 10%.
At the time Pakistan’s population was 120,000,000.
So only about 12 million wanted us dead.
My brother works for the State Dept in Amman Jordon now. Similar thing there.
It’s so surprising, MUZZTARDS want us dead.

4% don’t like us because of Obama. I bet the percentage was higher when Bush was president. They must not have like Obama’s speech last year. They obviously see through Obama just like the rest of us sane people.

Jean I bet you’re right. During the Bush administration, the secularists, the pro-democracy elements in Pakistan probably did still like America, even though the hard-line Muslims, for religious reasons, did not.
Now they ALL hate America. The ones who normally would – they know Obama doesn’t represent freedom and democracy.
It’s telling how peoples who have lived under despotic regimes tend to see through our president, right to his core. People from former Soviet states, people who made it through the Shoah, they all recognize what they have seen before.
