California Teacher Bans Student's "Offensive" US Flag Drawing (Video)

A California teacher banned a student’s US flag picture that she drew for art class.
She said the US flag picture with “God Bless America” written on it was offensive.
The same teacher praised a picture of Obama drawn by a different student in the class.

A girl who would draw the US flag in art class is a girl who would find a picture of Obama offensive.
The teacher’s argument is that the flag MAY BE offensive to other students (which is crap), but the picture of Obama IS offensive to other students.

I don’t know about you guys….but I am REALLY startin to get fed up with how now all of a sudden….our flag is being seen as offessive as the swastica. The other thing I am startin to get sick of is how everyone…even us conservative’s are content with bitchin and moanin about it and not doing anything. Talk is cheap! How much more are we just gonna sit on our hand and allow this to happen. they go to the streets…DEFILE OUR FLAG..and nothing…NOTHING is done. I have all but given up. Not all of us #14. Some of us have done more than just protest in the street we’ve pulled our children out of the schools and refuse to participate. Public education is a socialist idea determined to create subjects for the state not individuals who are self-governing. Until parents realize this and take their kids out, this sort of stuff will only continue. And the state will put up with the outrage of parents because they know in the end the parents are going to put little Johnny or Susy on the bus the next day and go on with life.

Funny, when I was going to school in Germany and we visited a German school, we liked the kids, and showed our happiness about meeting them by drawing US and German flags together in our pictures.

First to the young lady in question, I applaud your patriotism, and I like to apologize to you and your family for the lack of backbone Americans have shown to allow a young lady take the heat for what adults should be doing. Hopefully the local community will demand the firing of this teacher, if not they are either Socialist loving ingrates, or lazy undeserving don’t want to get involved cowards.
As for the school I find their actions offensive and can only hope they live long enough to suffer the indignities that will creep into their useless lives under a Socialist regime.

Violence and anger is what Obama wants. He is itching for a reason to declare martial law, even looking the other way at the things that are inciteful (i.e., disrespecting the US flag, violent leftist protests over illegal immigration enforcement, terror plots), and his beady eye is focused eye on the Tea Party.

As a little boy I remember the American Flag was always on display and the whole class said the pledge of allegiance every morning. No one would ever think of disrespecting the Flag. I think we are seeing the decline of the American empire.

This just confirms my decision to make any sacrifice necessary to be able to send my kids to private/charter schools. Even in “conservative” Utah where I live, it’s getting out of hand. The school district I live in has been taking lots of heat lately for their mission statement, which is wrought with Socialist ideology. I will not stand for it!

The school our kids were in last year and since been pulled out of didn’t have an American flag displayed in a hall of flags, totally ignored the 9/11 observance – until one student ran up during announcements and asked other students for a moment of silence – to the discomfort and disgust of the faculty, and when the school exterior flag was set at half-mast for an alum police officer who’d been killed, a faculty snot grumbled to his class about patriotism was pathetic crap.
This national loathing is endemic in the education establishment. They don’t like French language any more – because it’s white folks language. Witchcraft is A-Okay by them. The only traditonal school observance that hasn’t been renamed or diminished is Halloween – it’s growing in school time devoted to its themes.

These people who hate America present a paradox which they don’t want anyone to address. Why, if they hate America so much, and why if the American flag is offensive to them, did they go to great lengths to come here?
The simple truth is that they truly hate America and white people, and their long term interest in coming here is to carve out ethnically pure enclaves which they can use to begin their long term goals of practicing ethnic cleansing. They clearly want to remove the white people from this land they truly believe belongs to them.
We not only tolerate this, our government wishes to give them a path to citizenship!
And we, the people of America, continue to patronize them! When are we going to wake up? If we stopped the movement of money from our pockets into theirs, they would all be gone in three months. I am a recently retired senior high school Social Studies teacher who spent 40 years in the classrom.
The complete seizure of public education by the loony began in the schools of education at colleges and universities circa 25 years ago as the WW II generation retired from teaching and administrative positions.
Huge numbers of war babies and the first few birth years of the baby boom generation flooded into teaching in the 1960s and early 70s. I was one of them and as we retired we have been replaced by an ever increasingly female wave of younger teachers, a sizeable % of them of the Janet Reno Elena Kagan stripe.
In California usurpation of the teacher corp by the left has been accelerated by the state’s insanely overpriced housing costs. When I started teaching in 1966 I could by a 1500 sq, ft. 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in the middle-middle class suburb where I reside for three times my starting salary of $7400( I had a master’s degree). Today that same house sells for 15X a fully credentialed teacher’s starting salary. As a result of slaries that failed to keep up with the cost od a middle class standard of living males who in 1966 were over 60% of senior high teachers have come to spurn teaching as an occupation that would preclude them from supporting a family and a middle class lifestyle.
Intellectually bright women have ditched teaching as well and turned to more rumenerative field such as law, medicine, dentistry, and business leaving only the easily indoctrinated academic dregs available for teaching jobs.
In the last ten years I was teaching I frequently had to field the question from students why are the young teacher so dumb? The answer, one conservatives do not want to hear is the low salaries relative to the California’s & other high cost of living state’s housing prices.
The reality for the last 20 years is that a college graduate with a brain and a meaningful real major can earn much more in a field other than teaching. I never quit drumming into my my son and nephews the financial folly of becoming a teacher.
The reality is that only the mentally limited and those with useless waste of time faux majors such as psychology, communications, and ethnic and gender studies have been going into teaching for the last two decades. Have you checked to see how many of the nations under 55 “math/science, and even English classes are taught by majors or minors in those fields. Damned few I can assure you. The elementary and middle schools are complete disasters nationwide as per teacher quality. Research the falling scores of elementary & to a lesser degree middle schools teachers and candidates on the National Teacher’s Test.
The public at least in California with its sky high cost of living costs and current salary level are getting what they pay for and it’s the clueless and easily indoctrinated.
Within 2 years of his graduation my civil engineer son was earning more per year than I was with a masters degree plus 70 semester units of graduate work and 40 years of experience.
About those much trumpeted $100,000 a year pensions for teachers are non- existent. Those retirement payoffs are going to retired educrats who are a part of the teachers retirement system. I just recieved the annual report from the California Teachers Retirement System and learned the average retiree had 30+ years of service and for classroom teachers the average benefit was a bit over $3,600 a month.
I am a lifelong conservsative republican voter and activist but when I hear conservatives go off on their ill-informed rants about teachers high salaries and retirements I can understand why a majority of teachers who are competent and not moonbats are repulsed by conservatives and republicans.

1. I’m not MOBY…or w/e that is. I’m just a guy who see’s what’s goin on and who’s heart is breaking. In my eye’s…i see the protest’s, I see were the majority of the population is against what is going on, And yet..the admistration give’s us the middle finger and continues to spend us into oblivion and cram law’s and rule’s down our throat. I thought that maybe this might be a place to vent and express my frustrations. I guess not! Here’s a Idea…..why don’t we get a HUGE grp…like upwards of a million people. And turn the whitehouse lawn into a camp ground. I’m not kidding…Travel tailers, tent’s what ever….and not leave untill things change. If they try to arrest us…cops be damned…they can’t throw everyone in jail. A couple 3 days isn’t gonna cut it…..I’m talkin for a few weeks….other than that i have no clue what to do…at least it’s a idea

That was tried once already, during our last depression. Didn’t work out too well if I remember correctly. Hint: What did Gens. Mac Arthur and Eisenhower do before they fought the Axis?
No we need something a little more creative.
I don’t know what that might be just now but there are lots of us out here to brainstorm the problem.

Thanks for not jumpin down my throat like everyone else here has lol. So….do you agree that what we’re doin currently isn’t working? That is all I am saying….conservatives seem to me on the verge of insanity…..doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a diffrent result. All I am sudgesting is we do something diffrent. I am more than willing to brainstorm with anyone to come up with a solution. But…we need to get crackin on it. We are losing time (and our country) fast

Alternately, we could pick a specific product that represents illegals and boycott that product – something like lettuce for example. I don’t know if that would be a good choice, however, I submit the concept for consideration as a tangible, peaceful and totally legal way to BEGIN to take action to address the problem.
I apologize for long posts. I find it difficult to distill my thoughts into a few sentences.
