This tea party grandma was out of control and could not be contained.
Calling out the SWAT Team was the only option… After all, the tea party mob was singing “God Bless America” in public.

She does look very threatening.
Go Grandma, Go!

  1. Morale is high, that’s great.

But really. I don’t think the TP folks should boo at the officers. Let the leftists do that.

  2. God Bless Grandma.

  3. I agree that booing isn’t appropriate unless the officers were acting like jerks. Then, a good tongue-lashing would be in order.

The swat teams didn’t order themselves there.

I’ve venture a guess that most of that team actually agrees with their grannies.

  4. to echo what AJ said above – do not boo the officers. most are just doing their jobs. hold the management accountable.

  5. Andreas,

In some of the other film clips, you can hear members of the crowd telling others to calm down, obey the police, the police aren’t doing anything wrong.

There are often people who want to mouth off at rallies. The difference between the Tea Parties are drawing between themselves and the various radical groups is that they discipline their own members and those who also show up, so that either civility is maintained or the rude and violent ones are identified.

The radical groups, characterized by Saul Alinsky, Abbie Hoffman, Bill Ayers, the Weathermen, Students for a Democratic Society, the Yippies, and more lately the various anarchists, PETA, La Raza and Code Pink merely try to get attention by means of ugly, disruptive behavior.

The Tea Parties want to encourage discussion. The radicals want to disrupt it, so that otherwise reasonable people are unable to agree on a decent, acceptable course of action.

The objective of the American cluster of radicals is not to further public discussion, but to block it, by getting everybody angry. In an angry atmosphere, people make mistakes and act badly. These people want to provoke mistakes and bad action. Their objective is to impede rational discussion among our representatives in order to convince normal people that the System doesn’t work, so that it’s ok to tear it down.

Anybody who thinks I’m kidding can read “Rules for Radicals,” “Prairie Fire” and “Revolution for the Hell of It.”

  6. Wanna wager bets about how many arrests there will be in the “May Day” protests tomorrow?

I bet any arrests will not be reported by the LSM…

If any of the arrested turns out to be illegal, they should be deported to SF or any of the other sanctuary cities.

Thanks Jim for keeping this story alive especially when the May 1st protest will most likely become violent. I hope you have some comparison pictures similar to the inauguration and the 9/12 rally in DC.

  8. but..but..but… Grandma’s armed with cookies and punch!! And some of the cookies might have peanuts!!!

  9. Seems to me the boos were all in good fun. This is sad and funny at the same time.

  10. Illinois IS a police state.

  11. Poor cops…they were just doing what they were told. I hate to laugh at them, but it’s funny watching them march that way. I am sure that 99% of them were so embarrassed and ashamed to be there.

They certainly should not have been booed. We don’t need them to get the wrong idea about our movement. Our movement has a strong support in law enforcement.

  12. Why wouldn’t they call out the SWAT teams for a grandmother like that? She is exactly the kind of person we have to give extra scrutiny at airports because she might be a terrorist. God forbid that we would actually identify the people that are the real source of problems. They might be offended.

  13. Great essay commenting on Jim Hoft’s reporting, and how the Tea Parties win.

    http://whenfallsthecoliseum.com/2010/04/29/grandma-vs-the-swat-team/

  14. The only way it could have been better is if the tea party protestors had gone up to the cops to shake their hands and thank them for the protection from potential assault from SEIU thugs.

  15. Yikes, she is carrying an American flag!!! Comrade Obamski is going to throw up when he sees this!

  16. Great video!

  17. Is there some kind of “police song”?

If so, sing it next time.

But I LOVE that granny. Damn she’s great!

  18. i agree we can get mad or blame the police officers who were there they have to do what they are told and looking at the vidios they didnt seem too have their hearts in it at all

  19. Jim,

This is what I found at another site. Apparently some commander at Fort Knox thought is was a good idea to run an exercise concerning a potential attack on their base by using “tea party and militia members as the terrorists”

    http://truthandcommonsense.com/2010/04/30/a-new-site-with-disturbing-news-us-army-trains-to-fight-bomb-throwing-tea-party-groups/

Why he thought that was a good idea is beyond me and his commanders. But the point is that HE DID think about it. Obama and his crew’s constant attacks are bleeding into the conversation enough to make this idiot add you to the list of potential targets. Is that dangerous?

As I point out in my post. Heck yes!

“How does that make you sleep at night? Obama’s rhetoric along with all the other lefties painting you as potential bad guys got into somebody’s head. Is that dangerous? HECK YES!! IT ONLY TAKES ONE!!! Just like this guy in Full Metal Jacket “Mr. Get Some” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bKZ0kF-NzQ

However, I do get a kick out of the man’s lines one of my favorites; “Anyone who runs is a VC, anyone who stands still is a well disciplined VC”

But then again, can you imagine him saying this- “Anyone who runs is a tea partier, anyone who stands still is a well disciplined tea partier!”

    Scary stuff.
