The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is venerated by many Christians as Golgotha, (the Hill of Calvary), where the New Testament says that Jesus was crucified, and is said to also contain the place where Jesus was buried (the sepulchre). The church has been an important pilgrimage destination since at least the 4th century, as the purported site of the death and resurrection of Jesus.
The Palestinian Prime Minister sent out this greeting today, “Next year we will celebrate the Holy Fire vigil in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.”
The Jerusalem Post reported:
The Palestinian people plan on celebrating the Holy Fire vigil next year in Jerusalem, the “capital” of the Palestinian state, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said Saturday.
“Next year, Inshallah (God willing), we shall celebrate in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in east Jerusalem, the capital of the Palestinian state,” Fayyad was reported as saying. “Our people, joined by all humanity, will celebrate the creation of the Palestinian independent state according to 1967 borders, a state whose capital shall be Jerusalem.”
Fayyad further noted, “The Palestinian state is being built these days brick by brick, step by step, and we continue to broaden services for our people to fortify its standing, especially in the areas which have been damaged by the fence and the settlements.”

The temptation, as always, is to ask: Do these hyenas have some ace up their sleeve, like a deal with Iran, or is this just more of the same Islamofascist bravado these freaks always spew?

“Building” ??? These koranimals destroy sewer systems to fire rockets at Israel, turn greenhouses into dead zones – they are ignorant, primal savages who have no place in a civilized world. The tribes in the Brazilian rain forests are more enlightened.

OK, Mr. Fayyad – let me know how that works out for ya.

And once they have the church it will re-open under “new management” as a mosque.

And Israel is going to just sit and watch? I think you speak nonsense Mr. Fayyad, but then again with Obama in the White House?
Redwine commented:
Nothing like propagating Big Lies that subvert history to a political cause. (Dear Leader Hussein knows a lot about that.) “Palestinians” have no history, other than the cumulative history of the Arabs – and that does not include Jerusalem. The Jews, on the other hand, have the history of more than 3,000 years in their capital, Jerusalem – a history that came alive with its unification during the 1967 6-Day War, a war that solidified the existence of the modern State of Israel.

Hey, I just heard from someone over there that Mr. Fayyad’s nickname has been changed to Sheik DeadManWalking.

Mr. Fayyad, you would do well to remember a Jewish saying: “Man plans, G-d laughs.”

I’m with Iconoclast (#9).
These people only have one use for bricks: throwing them at Jews. They look at a wall and see only its potential for use as ammunition.
HAPPY EASTER, JIM!!
HAPPY EASTER, GP’ers!
