Figures. Obama's NASA Speech Completely Staged – No NASA Employees Allowed to Attend

More Soviet-style staging…
Obama traveled to Florida to speak to NASA. Except that he didn’t. NASA employees were not allowed to attend the speech. This only became known after it was leaked out during a live segment on MSNBC by Jay Barbree — the longtime NBC science correspondent.

BARBREE: …I’m a little disturbed right now, Alex. I just found out some very disturbing news. The President came down here in his campaign and told these 15,000 workers here at the Space Center that if they would vote for him, that he would protect their jobs. 9,000 of them are about to lose their job. He is speaking before 200, extra hundred people here today only. It’s invitation only. He has not invited a single space worker from this space port to attend. It’s only academics and other high officials from outside of the country. Not one of them is invited to hear the President of the United States, on their own space port, speak today. Back to you Alex.
Of course, this surprises no one.

exactly, the whole thing is smoke and mirrors and lies. every Obama public appearance is tightly controlled and scripted in order keep him insulated from real people and the press. Just like Obama’s life history, we know only what they wanted to show us, which is a pack of lies. I’m suprised that while speaking to the phony audience at Nasa that he didn’t mock Nasa workers and claim that they should be thanking him.

The gimme,gimme, gimme crowd has always resented anything that took funds away from what they feel is rightfully theirs.
Obama, having been a consumer of the liberal’s largesse with other folks money, would surprise the hell out of me if he took any other attitude toward NASA.
All the more reason to remove control of the purse strings from these “big spenders” as soon as possible. It’s a matter of the whole country’s survival and not just NASA’s.

Actually, a few NASA employees did show up, but the NKVD came around in their black chaikas and took them back to the Lyubyanka and shot them in its basement. Later, they were airbrushed out of the photos.

What surprises me the most is that this was actually reported on MSNBC.
This is the most full-of-sh*t administration ever. Every time I see Obama feigning sincerity, it makes me nauseous.
P.S., Had a date with an Obama supporter last night. When I brought up a few of his most onerous policies, she had no idea what I was talking about.
When you add up the poor, the illegals, the minorities that voted for Obama just because he is black and those who have no idea what’s going on, that pretty much sums up the 45% that support him.
It seems that anyone who is paying attention is against him.

An eruption, at the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland has put enough dust in the air to all but stop air travel over Europe.

This has been going on since April 14th. I notice that, the last time we had a big eruption like this, there was lots of speculation about global cooling as a result.
Now the “scientists” (not the ones with real information, quoted in other articles I’ve read) are all busy minimizing this event as well as other recent eruptions, such the explosion at Mount Penatubo. http://www.redorbit.com/news/science/1851356/iceland_eruption_too_small_to_cool_the_planet/ I note that this link is dated three days after the eruption began, and it says the ash didn’t amount to much yet, and wasn’t going very high.
And yet, the scientists actually studying the volcano say the ash is mostly silicate, dark, fine and going up to the jet stream (going up to 6 km, or 20,000 feet. The jet stream runs 10,000 to 40,000 feet), an observation that suggests the ash will stay high in the atmosphere. This dust is going global.

I had the honor of working on a NASA research project as a college student. The goal was to put men on the moon by the end of the decade.
We were studying the effects of weightlessness and inactivity on astronauts during their flights. Among my duties was performing bone decalcification studies using X-rays of joints and certain other bone areas, scanning the X-rays, feeding the data into a computer, and then calculating the bone loss…simplified description of the process, but you get the gist. I was working on the files of “Gus” Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee on January 27, 1967 when my boss called to tell me what had happened and to seal up all my records and wait for someone to come pick them up. The results of our studies helped shape the diet and exercise programs later used by astronauts, so we were pleased to have made a small contribution to the advance of science.

I watched the entire clip over at Eyeblast (part of Newsbusters). Not only did NBC’s Barbree say what he did (and rightly so), but the MSNBC anchor (whose name escapes me now) said in rebuttal, “I have to say on behalf of the Obama administration…” Yep. “On behalf of.” Not “According to the Obama administration. She went on to say that the Obama’s program will create 2500 jobs, “more than Constellation would have.” So, 9000 lose their jobs and 2500 jobs are created. Net loss of 6500 jobs. Yeah, that’s gonna help the unemployment rate.

Wondering if anyone else caught Savage’s radio show yesterday – I was out running errands and heard only bits and pieces about this.
I think he said BO would be “buying seats” (?for our astronauts, I guess, on future Russian flights?) That his intent is to return Russia to supremacy in this field.
As awful as the loss of those thousands of jobs will be, I might agree his intent for our space program could be for a far worse consequence.
I’m sure he didn’t want to face those he’d betrayed — but maybe he didn’t want to have to answer some very valid questions they would have for him either.

Frankly, I wasn’t a “birther”, but I have to wonder how much of Obama’s background was created out of whole cloth. We don’t know his grades, yet we know Clinton’s and Bush’s. We don’t know Obama’s thesis or his wife’s or why they both surrendered their licenses to practice law in Illinois. We don’t know who or why the University of Chicago law school was forced to “find a place” for Obama to teach part time or why he later inflated that to a professorship. We don’t know how Obama earned his money, about his foundations or even his history at Columbia. He has always seemed more like a character created for media consumption than a real person. I just wonder who the real power behind the Office might be. I have my suspicions, but this is Manchurian Candidate stuff.

NASA’s site says “200 senior officials, space and industry leaders, and academic experts” and President Obama was introduced by NASA Chief Administrator Charles Bolden.
If you saw the TV coverage, you saw many people in various uniforms.
