Palin and Bachmann Speak Out For Conservative Values–
Sarah Palin and Rep Michele Bachmann held a massive rally in the Minnesota Convention Center today. Both Bachmann and Palin blasted Obama over his latest fantasy national security decision. Obama yesterday took the nuclear option off the table when dealing with rogue regimes even if these regimes were to use chemical or biological weapons against the US.

Air marshalls subdued the man, Mohammed al Modadi, during the flight and the plane landed safely in a remote area of the airport.
I find it curious that there were multiple air marshalls on board a domestic flight. It’s very unusual to even have one. Did somebody know something but had to “diplomatically” wait for an overt act?

The fiasco on the DC to Denver flight doesn’t pass the smell test (pun intended) as an attempted “terrorist” plot..I still use that term… if the latest version is true. The perpetrator was a diplomat from Qatar, and apparently he “smoked up the lavatory”. Then he tried to cover the smell, created more smoke, and when asked about the smoke coming out of the lavatory, he sarcastically told the air marshals (or flight attendants) that he was trying to set his shoes on fire. These types use their diplomatic immunity like a magic wand to allow them to do anything they want. Just to make sure he wasn’t on fire, they probably should have given him a head first swirly.
Obama will probably fly to Denver and bow to him; A President Palin or Bachmann would have him on the first ICBM back to Qatar.

Tim Nelson was a passenger on yesterday’s Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Mumbai that was turned back to the airport shortly after takeoff. Twelve passengers were arrested as the result of security concerns arising from weird behavior. The Star Tribune’s Greg Gordon tracked down Nelson by phone in Amsterdam and got his eyewitness account of the goings-on.
Nelson speaks highly of the several several federal flight marshalls who materialized in front of the cabin to keep order.

One of my friends is an airline pilot. There are air marshalls on most flights now. It has been that way since 9/11. You just don’t know who they are. They always have to identify themselves to the pilots because they carry weapons.

However, that makes no sense unless you are either willfully and/or conveniently “IGNORING” that President Obama said Washington would only use atomic weapons in “extreme circumstances” and would not attack non-nuclear states. But specifically said that “exceptions could be made for “outliers” such as IRAN and NORTH KOREA.” That means the nuclear option remains unchanged for those countries.
Please, see Arabella’s comment (#24) would you have felt the same had Reagan been actually able to pull it off? Also, does Reagan, former Secretary of State George Schultz, Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Secretary of Defense Bill Perry & Senator Sam Nunn meet your qualifications to be considered “great minds on the issue?”
