Ugh.
RNC Chairman Michael Steele on CNN Situation Room does it again.
Via FOX Nation:
Exit Question: How many more talking points is Steele going to give the democrats before November?
UPDATE: Here’s a little news for Michael Steele…

Steele is an idiot. I’m an immigrant. Before I voted I listened to both parties to find out which one suited my political ideas. The GOP did. I don’t want handouts or pandering. Provide a strong defense, keep taxes low, be business friendly, and leave me the hell alone.

Democrats are much more deeply divided on this issue than the GOP. Only the GOP elitists and RINO’s have problems with the AZ law.

He did not give any talking points. The Obama narrative is that right wingers are racists. This will happen for decades untill all white people are marginalized, thrown out of the USA or suppressed. He is trying his best to assume damage control. There is no way that border control will happen in America. If there is, each and everyone must pick up guns and fight. The mexicans are in the 20s -30s millions and willing to die to get their people into America to throw out blacks, whites, Asians etc.. anyone not brown.

We need to replace him. He’s become too liberal, happens to the best of them.
No offense but let’s get a real American as Chairman. Someone who isn’t politically correct. If the republican party is going to become extinct, let it go extinct with all of our core values intact. No apologies, no excuses.
Hope and change and trying to pander to the illegals is only going to lead to mass defections from the remaining republicans, the republican party will just disappear quietly into the night with a whimper.
I don’t like illegals, I don’t like seeing them loitering in the street corners, I don’t like seeing them cause half of all drinking and driving accidents, why are we going to welcome them? they will never vote republican, the only english word they know is “democrat”. They don’t know what the word means but they know to vote for it every time.
chili palmer commented:
How many thousands of illegal aliens has Steele taken into his own home, clothed, fed, educated, given medical care, etc.? If he hasn’t taken any in, why not? Persons favoring the current situation, ie anarchy and chaos, are also advocating their own death. Anyone who advocates their own death is mentally defective and a danger to society.

Did Steele ever spend time in Manchuria?

When will the RNC say enough is enough?!?
The question now has got to be, is he intentionally trying to Sabotage the Party? Someone within the Party hierarchy has to begin investigating him or serious damage will be done.
To think I voted for him, man what a mistake that was!

I used to admire Steele, but he’s just a dipstick.

Steel is a huge diappointment! The Republican Party still has serious Rhino tendencies at the top. These people will lie to your face to get elected and then once in office revert back to their Rhino ways. It’s time for Republicans to clean house before a lot of people bail and start a third party.
The majority of citizens want the border controlled. Ask yourself why both Democrats and Republicans refuse to do it? We can move an army with its equipment to the farthest regions of the earth but we can’t secure our borders? We can build multiple huge Government office buildings but we can’t build a lousy wall? We’ve leveled large hills and filled canyons to build roads but stopping an illegal immigrant flood is too dificult?
The problem isn’t the difficulty of the task. These people just have a different agenda than the average Americanand that agenda does not include American sovereignity.
I won’t donate to or support the National Republican Party until they get serious about illegal immigration and demonstrate it with action. (And I wouldn’t support Obama even if he could stop the oceans from rising)

I’ve said it before, and now more vehemently:
Absolutely NO donations to the GOP machine. NONE!
The GOP machine is what keeps Steele’s bonehead above water. It’s the GOP machine that voted this fool party chairman.
Please, please DONATE TO INDIVIDUAL CANDIDATES AND CONSERVATIVE ORGANIZATIONS, ONLY!!!!
It’s not hyperbole. Future generations are counting on what We The People do today.

Steele did a fine job. Republicans can do a better job of promoting american minded hispanics . The AZ law can either bring out a lot of stereotypical put downs and insulting broad brush attacks on hispanics from angry rank and file republicans, or the passion can bring out people concerned for human rights, jobs, drugs and crime , American sovereignty , law and order that will encourage patriotic hispanics to our party. I am pleased to see far more of the latter choices being expressed.

Michael Steele is reminding me more and more of that first attorney representing Monica Lewinsky [Help me here, what's his name?] in ’98.
He hobnobbed with people like Barbara Walters and had frequent outbursts of Foot-in-Mouth disease in regards to his client… He even placed an ad in the NYTimes or WaPo saying, “Congratulations in criminalizing an act between consenting adults!”
Then, before August ’98, he was replaced with two DC legal titans who did what they had to do to clear their client. Monica’s mother and stepfather ordered the replacement because they knew he was hurting her cause.
It’s past time to replace Michael Steele with someone(s) with spines and b… guts. Like Fred and Jeri Thompson.

I meant exactly what I wrote. Between the harsh language from certain corners of the party and the lulus of distortion of the Republican position from hostile talking heads, the Republicans have a lot of ground to make up. It’s not fair, but it’s true. The Tea Parties have the same problem.
Further, there is a huge opportunity for the Republican party right now, because the Democratic party has been captured by radicals. The Dems have alienated the big middle of the spectrum, where most voters reside.
Michael Steele has an easy manner that describes the Republican position in terms that will appeal to people who didn’t know they agree with at least some parts of Republican philosophy.
And every time he does that, Democrats attack him, and they pretend to be Republicans when they do it.
Tammy commented:
Valerie, you make no sense.

Bindar at #27:
“It’s time for Republicans to clean house before a lot of people bail and start a third party.”
You’ve got that right. That scenario scares the hell out of me, since all a third party will do is split the vote and hand the elections to the Democraps.
But at all the Tea Parties I’ve been to, there are a lot of people who are mad enough to spit at the Republican Party. These are the millions and millions of “Independents” who are so crucial. And Glenn Beck, for all his good points, has been extremely irresponsible, egging on this “third party” fever.
It would be beyond tragic if, winning huge majorities in the poll of public opinion, conservatives were to LOSE EVERYTHING in November because the dadgum GOP is so determinedly STUPID.
Andreas K. commented:
Another RINO talks.
The Reps are friendly towards immigrants, those who come legally, who work their butts off, etc.
I actually have relatives in Buffalo. They went to the US legally without speaking much or any English at all. They worked hard. They literally worked their butts off. Their son then went on to university.
They are Americans now. They went to America because they wanted a new life. We still call America the “land of unlimited possibilities.”
Lots of people go to America every year. Legally. And they are welcomed. I know of a German carpenter who went to Montana, I think. And his boss there was like “We like the Germans. They are well trained and willing to work hard.”
So Michael Steele, in the words of Monty Pythons, shove off!
Gary commented:
Plant. That’s what I immediately thought. Lots of folks were thinking the same thing, I see.
Of course I don’t think any of us mean it literally; only that the Democrats must be relieved that they didn’t have to actually go to the trouble.
I honestly was under the impression he was smarter than all this, for some reason.

ALSO picks a chairman of the Party that makes the DIMS happier than he does any POTENTIAL VOTERS that the GOP MIGHT SHOULD BE TRYING to win back!
GO FIGURE!

Sometimes one thinks the GOP LEADERSHIP thinks it is more important to move the NATION to the HARD LEFT, than it is to RESPOND TO THE VOTERS WHO LOVE AMERICA THE BEST!

Conservatives are not giving Democrats talking points by continuing to say that illegals commit “rape, murder and theft” at alarming rates, because it’s something that rings true.
Mexico right now has a huge problem with murderous drug smugglers, who also are involved in smuggling people into the United States. It should be obvious that the criminal cartels are a problem for both countries.
Further, more and more Democrats seem to be saying that they agree that the Federal laws need to be enforced. That’s why Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid said they are working on a law to require that benchmarks be met on border security before the status of illegal immigrants is settled, according to a memo prepared by Senate Democratic offices. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/95121-senate-democrats-set-to-unveil-immigration-plan
Conservatives do hurt their cause by throwing in with people who are trying to undercut the politicians who appeal to the big middle.

I have no idea why Steele feels a need to follow the narative of the left and condemn the Republican party. Since he has no interest in standing up to the generally baseless attacks, it is time for Steele to be replaced.
Marsh commented:
Well, at the risk of going against the grain, I’m extremely opposed to immigration both legal and illegal. I’ve traveled all around the world and noticed that legal immigrants and illegal immigrants almost always make up the disfunctional dregs of society and create all kinds of horrible problems such as organized crime, murder, rape, welfare leeching, undermining of state authority, separatist groups and even terrorism. It’s obviously not universally true but it is most of the time. Especially when dealing with immigrants from the culturally backwards 3rd world (especially muslims). It’s not a very politically correct observation by any means, but nevertheless very true in my experience.
Marsh commented:
I oppose mass immigration both legal and illegal and support very tough screenings of potential immigrants and deportation of illegals or immigrants who have proven to be a burden on society. That’s just me though.

Conservatives Call Out Michael Steele
On His Refusal To Endorse Ex-gays
["It’s no wonder the RNC continues to lose factions of its members, such as Tea Party conservatives," said Christopher Doyle, a PFOX board member. "Steele would be better off if he extended ex-gays a place at the table rather than paying his staff to watch lesbians dance on it at strip clubs."]
and just for the heck of it..
the following is quite an uplifting read..
Thank you former President George W.
Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush
[If there are any of you out there with any connection at all to the Bushes, we implore you to give them our thanks…you tell them that a bunch of gay Hillary guys in Boystown, Chicago were wrong about the Bushes…and are deeply, deeply sorry for any jokes we told about them in the past, any bad thoughts we had about these good, good people.
You may be as surprised by this as we are ourselves, but from this day forward George W. and Laura Bush are now on the same list for us as the Clintons, Geraldine Ferraro, Stephanie Tubbs Jones, and the other political figures we keep in our hearts and never allow anyone to badmouth.
Criticize their policies academically and intelligently and discuss the Bush presidency in historical and political terms…but you mess with the Bushes personally and, from this day forward, you’ll answer to us.
We hope someday to be able to thank George W. and Laura in person for all they’ve done, and continue to do. They didn’t have to head to Ft. Hood. That was not their responsibility.
The Obamas should have done that.
But didn’t.
Wouldn’t.
Thank goodness George W. is still on his
watch, with wonderful Laura at his side.
We are blessed as a nation to have these two out there…just as we are blessed to have the Clintons on the job, traveling the world doing the
good they do.
And we are blessed to have Dick Cheney, wherever he is, keeping tabs on
all that’s going on and speaking out when the current administration does anything too reckless and dangerous.
Cheney’s someone else we villainized and maligned in the past who we were also wrong about. There has never been a Vice President, including Gore, Biden, or Mondale, who was more supportive of gay rights than “Darth Cheney”. There has never been a Vice President more spot-on right about the dangers facing this country from Islamic terrorism.
We live in strange, strange times indeed.
We are now officially committed fans of George W. and Laura Bush. We are fans of Dick Cheney. Our gratitude for them makes us newly protective of them, and the continued role they play in this country.]

The Right’s Happy Warrior
‘I’m optimistic, but it’s sort of like being optimistic in
1939 and saying, I think we can beat the Germans.’
[Mr. Tyrrell also takes heart in the dissipation of what he terms the Kultur smog—his own Germanic coinage, which he defines as "the complete domination of mainstream political culture for so many years by one point of view: the liberal point of view. They've polluted the political discourse in our country." Today's mainstream liberal culture has absorbed the counterculture of the 1960s, but "there is a conservative counterculture that's developing," he says, pointing out the success of Fox News, the Journal, talk radio and conservative websites. "The Kultursmog is losing its influence because of the rise of our counterculture."
The conservative counterculture, like that of the 1960s, includes a protest movement. Mr. Tyrrell calls the tea parties "a civic upheaval of people . . . who, without any particular indoctrination, have come forward with an understanding of the American Constitution . . . a high regard for individual liberty, a deeper understanding of the essence of America than some professor of romance languages at Rutgers."
Or, for that matter, than what Mr. Tyrrell calls "reformed conservatives." These "opportunists," as he characterizes them, "who advance themselves in the media by slighting and sniping [at] conservatives and conservatism. . . . . They’re ‘reformed,’ they’re ‘enlightened,’ and the reason liberals treat them well is because all of their recommendations are recommendations about how conservatism should move from its conservative foundations, its libertarian foundations, and become good liberals.”]
