Yesterday, Sarah Palin said Barack Obama’s nuclear policy is like, “A kid on the playground saying punch me in the face and I’m not going to retaliate.”

Sarah Palin also said no administration in American history would support such a policy.

Today, President Appeaser responded…
President Obama blasted Sarah Palin today on his radical nuclear policy.
Reuters reported:

President Barack Obama on Thursday made clear he was not going to take advice from Republican Sarah Palin when it comes to decisions about the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

Palin, the former vice presidential candidate, has not been shy about criticizing Obama’s policies and this week weighed in on his revamped nuclear strategy, saying it was like a child in a playground who says ‘punch me in the face, I’m not going to retaliate.’

“I really have no response to that. The last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues,” Obama said in an interview with ABC News.

Pressed further on Republican criticism that his strategy restricts the use of nuclear weapons too much, Obama added:

“What I would say to them is, is that if the secretary of defense and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff are comfortable with it, I’m probably going to take my advice from them and not from Sarah Palin.”

For the record… Obama was an antiwar nut in college too.
He hasn’t changed a lick.

Glenn Reynolds added: “If only he hated America’s enemies half as much . . . .”

  1. Obama is NOT an expert with nuclear issues either and he is a traitor.

  2. Snippy little b!tch today, wasn’t he? Must have been way past time for a nicotene fix.

  3. She does appear to be a tad bit smarter than you, sir.

  4. Oh boy, The Won must be feeling a bit threatened by Sarah.

I guess it’s because she’s so dumb. And he’s so freakin’ brilliant.

    Just ask him.

  5. ADVERTISEMENT

  6. Exactly what makes THE WON any more of a nuclear warfare expert than Ms. Palin?

Hell, the Nuclear Weapons Targeting Courses I took for the Infantry Officer Advanced Course, Field Artillery Officer Advanced Course, and the Command and General Staff Officers College make me a more highly trained Atomic Weaponeer than THE WON.

  7. Beat me to the “traitor” comment!! He’s also a douchebag, a liar, a fraud, a communist, a maixist, an a**hole, a narcissist, and a f***weasel. Did I miss anything?????

  8. “Shut up,” he explained.

  9. Just watch. As time goes on and Sarah becomes stronger and with more clout than before, The One-Termer is going to throw more temper tantrums…

  10. Barry is a coward and he wants to nice his way to peace on earth. Name me one world leader who has niced their way to peace. Time’s up!

Check out Mohammed ; he niced his way to peace, yeah, right. Barry knows the Muslim way and it is not peaceful.

  11. Pudd’nhead Obama – thinks he can do away with half of the world’s nuclear weapons and the other half will disappear too.

  12. “I really have no response to that. The last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues,”

That’s a BS answer. This president is less of an expert.

  13. Given the fact that Barry postponed getting briefed on nuclear response procedure for months after taking office, I would say that he’s not much of an expert on nuclear issues, either.

  14. This week alone should leave no doubt in anyones mind that our president is a madman.
Three mindless, nonsensical and dangerous acts.
    - Removing “Islam” from the foreign policy publications.
    - The retarded change in our nuclear stance.
    - The empty treaty with Russia on Nukes.

All three of these actions weaken America’s standing in the world.

  15. As usual, the strawman argument is put forth to deflect from the true issue.

    Strawman: expertise/knowledge of nuclear issues

    True Issue: defense strategy

  16. “last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues,”

The Titanic was built by squads of experts. The ark was built by someone the experts laughed at.

  17. BO may have just turned Sarah into the favorite for 2012. He really isn’t very smart.

  18. I agree with cdvxcv: “The last I checked, Barack 0bama is not much of an expert on nuclear issues.”

  19. Boy, this really makes Obama look petty and whiny.

The president of the United States saying, “The last time I checked” like a teenage girl.

What a dope. His mouth is his own worst enemy.

  20. Bad move, Mr. President. Calling out Sarah Palin – - much like your attempts to lash out at Rush Limbaugh and Fox News – - only makes you look foolish, unfocused and floundering.

  21. I see others have had the same thought I do: After the news that has come out over the past couple of days, no one in their right mind would ever accuse Obama of being an expert on nuclear issues.

This man is so . . . strange. What is it about him that he constantly has to pick on people by name? I’m sure ever president has felt like responding directly to critics but I simply cannot recall any other president EVER picking people out by name and being harsh in his response to them.

  22. Sarah – Way Smarter Than the Average Obam-a-tard.

  23. OK, which policy would cause a potential enemy contemplating an attack on the USA to pause, and which would be a “green light”?

    1. We reserve the right to use any and all weapons in our arsenal against you if you attack, regardless of the type of weapons you attack us with.

    2. We absolutely WON’T use nuclear weapons against you if you attack, regardless of the type of weapons you attack us with.

…or as John Wayne said to Richard Boone in Big Jake (1971): “…Anything goes wrong, anything at all… your fault, my fault, nobody’s fault… it don’t matter…I’m gonna blow your head off.”

  24. Obama always hiding behind his advisers. He does not know a thing. God spare us from idiots running this country.

  25. Mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm….that Lil’ bastard Frank Marshall Jr. sure sound like a bitch, now don’t he.

  26. If the “secretary of defense is comfortable with it,” then it’s the same secretary of defense who advised the Compassionate Dope during his second term.

How’s that GOP working for you, America?

  27. “BO may have just turned Sarah into the favorite for 2012. He really isn’t very smart.”

Did you see the recent study that claims to have determined that cigarette smokers are less intelligent? Certainly Obama appears to lend weight to the notion.

And watching Obama wrangle with Palin, Rush, Beck, Fox, and others is just amazing. Is he too dumb to realize that he just appears like a thin-skinned amateur?

  28. Now de bum is saying that a person can’t do an unpaid internship in the private sector. Where does this libtard get off with this constant breaking of the law?

    IMPEACH teh won.

  29. How very….ummm…presidential…of him…

The emperor is naked and flailing about.

No decorum. No decorum at all.

  30. I’d take Sarah anyday, anytime over Obama regarding any type of nuclear strategy…or competitive strategy for that matter. He is a dope.

  31. his secretary of defense is a A$$-ki$$er of course he’s going to agree with everything his beloved dictator says. Just like Admiral Mullen is pro-gay in a military that is not very receptive to gay people, he will do what ever obama tells him to do. It seems like destroying the US military is agenda number one.

The military has no respect for cowards or weak people. They will salute obama but behind his back they don’t talk highly of him.

  32. I love how much she gets under his skin.

  33. This is the kind of moron we get in the White House because the majority of the voters let the media shill for him. A lot of voters also voted for him to erase their “white guilt” trip of slavery some 200 years ago. Others voted for him because they want free handouts all their lives (i.e. the dependency generation”, and others voted for this moron because they are morons like him. I only pray this country can hang on until we get rid of this scourge in 2012. It will begin in November of 2010 if enough of us wake up and neuter this foreign relations clown for the two years remaining after that. Lately is seems like “The ONE” wants to pick fights all the time with “go for it” and his recent disrespectful comment about Governor Palin. Have faith my friends…..we are getting under their skin and the rash is starting to show. Like the old fighter pilot once said “If you’re taking a lot of flak, you know you are on target.”

  34. What a turd.

  35. And while Obama is picking fights with a woman (who pwns him everyday and twice on Sunday) from the comfort of the highest office in America, his wife-beast is screaming “Get me a damned cheeseburger and apple pie, n***a.”

  36. “The last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues,”

Last time I checked neither was he!

  37. The last few days have indicated to me, at least, that our ‘president’ doesn’t like conservative women, or Jews.

  38. Sarah Palin isn’t an expert on nuclear issues but she knows a lot more than the pencil neck Marxist and his regime.

Sarah can also throw a baseball better than this pathetic pile of radical $hit!

Has he done anything right? He is the biggest spender in the history of the world and it’s only going to get bigger in the coming years. What do we have to show for this other than bigger government, more regulation, less freedom, less private sector jobs, less free market principles. higher unemployment, higher underemployment, more jobs permanently moving out of the country, less national security, more weakness, more pandering, more bowing, more socialism, less Capitalism, less charity, more nanny state, more entitlements, more redistribution, more social justice, more bigotry, more lies, more propaganda, more debt, more generational theft! It goes on and on and on and on! HOW are we better now than before the messiah took office?

This is the biggest mess in the history of this country and the next REAL president who is elected in 2012 (BHO = OTP) will have to clean this mess up and lead like a real leader in the greatest country in the world leads.

BHO is the biggest failed experiment in our short history and it’s time to scrape this failure and reinvest in something that works.

  39. I cannot stand Obama myself, but Sara Palin is someone who couldn’t even complete her own job. She should be quiet and spend her time actually creating something instead of being an armchair critic. Her credibility in my opinion is completely shot.

  40. kato #27, call the private “Bash the GOP” hotline, it’s toll free: 888-EAT-$HIT.

The Brass at the Pentagon are so afraid of a bad Efficiency Report, they would agree with disbanding the military and turning our entire inventory of weapons over to Code Pink. The SUCK-Def is a sell out and will say and do anything to keep his job, too.

  41. The only things Obama is expert in are socialism, racialism, and “community organizer” style extortion.

  43. Run, Sarah, run!

  44. JimG #40, you can call the hotline, too. Sarah Palin, unlike the self-serving elitist Liberals and the Narcissist-in-Chief Obama, thought enough of the people of Alaska to resign rather than allow any more of their tax money to be wasted fighting the barrage of scurrilous and unfounded “ethics” complaints filed by LIBERAL SCUMBAGS. Get your facts straight before you slander a real leader who put the people ahead of career.

  45. Come on people. Don’t you know that most experts in nuclear issues come from community organizing?

  46. How funny is it going to be to Obama when he finds out he cannot get 66 votes in the Senate to ratify his flawed treaty?

Will Obama be raving like a mad lunatic screaming at anyone that will listen to him? Maybe a few staged tv appearances to call for a change to the constitution to allow a simple up-or-down reconcillation vote?

  47. He’s gotta protect his image, no matter how small it makes him look. Sarah knows she’ll get it from him and doesn’t care. She exposes him every time and we love it.

Learned today his mother, when in high school in Washington state, was nicknamed, Anarchist Annie.

There should be no surprise he’s doing the insane things he’s doing. All he’s ever known in his life are crazed radicals who hate America.

  48. Would somebody ask the secretary of defense and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff if they advised the President to take this course of action?

I suspect they are doing their best to cope with his lunacy, just like Al Haig had to do.

  49. So, he’s checking?

Was he an expert the last time he checked?

  50. What do you mean that 2 people he can fire agree with him? Go Figure! Anyway, you don’t have to be a nuclear physicist to have the common sense to keep all your options open. The Bible says you shall not call anyone an idiot, so I won’t.

  51. From your earlier link, Obama was more interested in the “political wisdom of reggae singer Peter Tosh” than that of Ronald Reagan (the President who directly influenced the Berlin Wall to come down, and the Soviet Union to collapse); so again Sarah Palin is in the excellent company of Ronald Reagan, and Baracky is still nose-to-butt-crack of the various dirty socialists.

  52. Well one thing is certain.
President Superduperawesome is no expert on the economy.

  53. JinG should be quiet and spend some time actually governing Alaska instead of being an armchair Palin critic. His credibility is …well, he has no credibility.

Wow, being an idiot is easy! Who knew?

  54. Obama’s argument is really lame when he says that if the SECDEF and CJCS are OK with it is total BS. Those folks serve at the pleasure of the President. Of course they are going to say they’re OK with it. They want to keep their job. Hell, anyone with the rank of 2 stars or higher serves at the pleasure of the President. Note also that they’re just OK with it. Sounds like their reaction was just meh.

  55. Check out this Presidential dope — what is your expertise sir?

Do you have any qualifications whatsoever? I never imagined he’d be so thin-skinned.

Bush wasn’t like this — he took so much abuse and never responded so childishly.

If I’m not mistaken, this treaty severely undermines our ability to protect ourselves.

  56. JimG

If only Obama would quit his job! He certainly isn’t Presidential material. Come to think of it I’m not sure Obama would be competent at anything.

    Go Sarah!

  57. Perhaps the greatest service Palin could do for her country would be to taunt Obama non-stop for the rest of his presidency.
Someday, some way, his nastiness and ignorance will finally show through the syncophant wall of the press and he’ll be taken down at the ballot box in disgrace.
In the best case, we can remember it took a Carter to raise a Reagan.

  58. How many missile interceptors are there in Chicago?

Heck, just having a son in the service means Palin knows more about national defense than Obama.

  59. So, let me see if I understand this. The President is insulted personally by Hugo Chavez, and does nothing. The President is insulted personally by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and does nothing. Both of these men lead countries that are seeking nuclear weapons, increased regional power, and hate the US.

But let a woman who holds no political office, who is no threat to his administration, say something he doesn’t like, and I guess he’s found someone he isn’t afraid to fight.

  60. So in LibWorld, we can eliminate terrorism by changing the English reference to it. So also by using LibLogic, we can “eracism” by leglislating that Webster’s, Miriam’s,et al, change the word “racism” to “chocolate bunny.”

    Uh huh….

If the nitwit Obama won’t take Sarah Palin’s advice, I sure wish he would take the advice of some rational person(s) and not the sycophantic uber-nitwits he has surrounded himself with.

Discussion Question: Does LibLogic work for those of us with IQ’s above 10? Can we also save America from untold catastrophes by changing the word “Democrat” to “otherworldly”?

  61. I wish I could add something more but you guys have pretty well run the gamut. The bottom line is we need to render him impotent in 2010 and eject his ass in 2012.

  62. Keep it up Sarah, eventually you are going to get him to say something damning in public.

  63. Well, at least she’s fired a weapon…sorry, couldn’t help myself.

Palin understands you don’t put all your cards on the table to win a hand. I don’t trust BO to protect our country, I trust our military but I don’t trust him.

  64. Wait a minute …

… isn’t this the same guy who REFUSED for months to be briefed on the contingency plans drawn up to cover a breakout of nuclear war with Russia or China … because he considers even the thought of doing that “insane”?

He isn’t even TRYING to gain some expertise on the subject! I surmise that, since Joe Biden didn’t say it was a BFD, it wasn’t worth his attention?

I don’t think that Ms. Palin, in the same situation, would shirk her duty as CINC in this way.

  65. When oblunder says Palin is ‘no expert’ he really means “I’m no expert and have no friggin’ clue as to what I’m doing..”

He just projecting his incompetence onto the other team again.

That’s one thing he’s good at.

That and creating a problem then blaming the other team for what he created.

  66. Obama’s got a short fuse and Sarah’s throwing sparks. I bet he’ll go nuclear in the end.

  67. Palin is in his head and it is absolutely wonderful.

  68. It is entertaining watching a president getting all wee-weed up over criticism by private citizens.
As president he should be above all that.
Instead were stuck with a spoiled brat.
At least this time he’s not blaming Bush.

  69. You know the difference between Obama and Code Pink? ….Lipstick

  70. Richard Romano … Mr. Bush was trained to fly interceptors against nuclear bombers.

That alone puts him light years ahead of his successor.

And as for a history lesson …

Over in Missouri, in my youthful days gone by
My uncles’ farms were put into a nuclear bullseye
Same time in Europe, the Communists built walls
To keep their people in and deny freedom to ‘em all
But some folks here said, if we’d just understand
And talk nice to our enemies, we’d have peace in the land
Well we talked, we made nice, but the walls did not come down
And the missiles stayed on high alert in that Missouri ground …

As I grew up, none of this had ever changed
‘Till a cowboy rode in, to DC from the range
This cowboy was not afraid to stand a little higher
And tell the world the truth about that Evil Empire
Others ridiculed him, said he would start a war
And that his space gunslingin’ was crazy to the core
But his strong stand got our enemies to tear those walls down
And let us pull those missiles out of that MIssouri ground …

Yes there is evidence, throughout our history
Of the need for cowboy diplomacy
If you think we’ve Progressed beyond that today
You might just negotiate your life away
Confronting evil and terror is the key
To keepin’ the peace and settin’ people free
Kum-by-yah doesn’t cut it for this day …

… THE REAL PEACE SONG IS YIPPIE-KY-AY-A!

  71. SOBama is like those insipid libturd comedians who constantly bash and insult Christianity, but are cowardly mute about a medieval, repressive religion like Islam. 72. Obama’s IQ is about 60 so he feels threatened by billiants like Palin.

  73. This story has made it to the news section on the Yahoo main page. To the MSM, this is one of the top 6 news stories of the moment.

  74. I’m wondering if Obama’s nuclear policy is just an invitation for Iran to nuke Israel. I don’t know how strong Israei’s arsenal is, or if Iran might consider a counterstrike survivable.

I do know that Obama is no friend to Israel, though.

  75. Comrade Obama purports to be an expert on nuclear issues because he wrote a paper on nuclear disarmament in college. But like the rest of his academic background, we are not allowed to read it. I bet it is a doozy. Why, oh why did we elect this commie? Oh yeah because of economic turmoil in fall 2008 and MSM lies that he was some kind of moderate. A moderate Trotskyite, maybe.

  76. Why can’t he hate dictators in this venomous mode?

  77. It really isn’t in Obama’s best interest to even let the subject of “expertise” even come up in conversation. What, pray tell, would be his area of expertise?

  78. He plans on defending each one of the 57 states by placing joe biden look-a-like scarecrows in each one. If that doesn’t work he’ll go nuclear and place nancy pelosi scarecrows. Last resort: thermonuclear with barney frank ones.

I wasn’t clear. Obama claims Palin doesn’t have expertise or knowledge in nuclear issues. I’m saying what does it matter whether it’s a nuclear, conventional, biological or any other TYPE of weaponry issue. It’s a strawman argument. Having expertise and knowledge in defense (actually defensive and offensive) strategy is the true issue.

Sarah Palin agrees with Reagan that an effective defensive strategy is the threat of overwhelming force, which saves lives. Just the fact that she knows this puts her leaps and bounds ahead of Obama as a leader.

(Sorry for the confusion, I don’t post a lot and evidently left out too much to make my thoughts clear.)

  83. Well-said, jetstream.

  84. Sarah Palin as governor of Alaska has WAAAY more REAL, ON THE JOB experience in these issues than Obama does.

ALaska was INVADED in World War II by the Japanese and US troops and pilots were engaged in battles in Alaska. Russia is LITERALLY 1.5 miles away, plainly visible from some parts of ALaska, exactly as Palin stated. ALaska, at the Arctic Circle, is critical to our national strategic security and first alert for nuke strikes coming over the North Pole.

Stupid Manhattan pinched face condescending snob Katie Couric, asking Palin if she reads newspapers. Why? Palin as governor got briefed regularly by the type of high-level experts newspapers and media outlets run to for quotes.
If one wants to find out about what’s going on in Russia, does one read the NYT or tune into CNN? Hell no. They’re USELESS, worse, they’re usually misleading and incompetent. One refers to the likes of STRATFOR or in the case of a US governor, US military briefings.

Oabma has done WHAT in contrast? “Community Organized?” Whooppee-de-do. He won’t even explain what he organized for, and we are quite sure it wasn’t nuclear weapons issues.

It’s almost as bad as Obama sneering that Clarence Thomas wasn’t qualified for SCOTUS. And WHO are you to determine that, Mr. “Gave up my law license” Obama?

If the media wasn’t in zombie thrall, they’d eat Obama alive for such an untrue snark. But nooo. They’re still the worthless undead.

  85. Obama have a lack of inexperience and leadership. Sarah Palin is a whiny. She have a lack of inexpereince and leadership, too. I don’t know why she said Michael Steele is doing a good job for GOP. Steele need to go. GOP need to be clean up and get rid of these Rino’s. Palin sounded like another Rino’s just like McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Romney, for example. And, she supported Rand Paul of Kentucky for US Senate. Rand Paul is not conservative. Very true — I read a slogan somewhere once that went something like this: “A man with degrees from Yale and Harvard and can fly a jet is no idiot.”

Yet, Obama is the genius — we have no idea what his grades were like, and he has no major accomplishments to date (please, leftists, health care reform is no accomplishment; it’s a debacle). His embarrassing foreign policy initiatives continue.

Of course he missed it; he has a “22 caliber mind in a 45 caliber world.”

Works both ways, doesn’t it Brian?

  99. Obama has NO experience in defense strategy and is a proven liar. I question whether the Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff actually approved of his decision.

I recall reading that Obama was considering a request from General Petraeus to expand CentCom’s area of responsibility into the West Bank and Gaza, but Petraeus denied ever making that request.

  100. brian, the limits on retaliation described by the President involve NON-NUCLEAR attacks … including chem/bio WMD that could kill off tens of thousands … weapons that are easier for the thugs to get and use than nukes.

By declaring such retaliation “off the table”, the President makes war MORE likely, not less … because our enemies will now think we are going back to the toothless era between Vietnam and the end of the Iranian hostage crisis.

As for caliber, this kind of thinking is down with the BB’s.

  101. Prior to assignment to Vietnam, I flew missions throughout the USA and Canada in support of Air Guard units. Who knows, I may even have visited with GW Bush in the Day Room on one of my trips to the Alabama or Texas Guard units. I can’t even remember who the Squadron Commander was, so please don’t expect me to name everyone I ever served with or met during my time in service. Their fighter-interceptors were dangerous to fly, but the pilots’ courage, professionalism, skill, and deportment were second to none. I wonder if the “Happy Hooligans” are still flying these days. The next time you fly on a commercial flight, chances are a Reservist or Guardsman will be at the controls. Obama wouldn’t even be able to figure out how to climb into one of these planes.

  102. JimG (#40): “I cannot stand Obama myself, but Sara Palin is someone who couldn’t even complete her own job. She should be quiet and spend her time actually creating something instead of being an armchair critic. Her credibility in my opinion is completely shot.”

Puh-lease. Sure, you “cannot stand Obama (yourself)”. Talk about a favorite first sentence of a troll.

First of all, she “couldn’t even complete her own job”?!? I don’t remember Obama completing his State Senate or U.S. Senate terms either. Yes, the situations were different but you act like she resigned as governor because she was incapable of performing her duties, which she had been doing nicely until she was selected as McCain’s running mate. She simply refused to have her state suffer or be personally bankrupted by Leftist extremists filing constant lawsuits because they were overcome by levels of hatred for her that are ridiculous.

Second, how about critiquing the substance of her comments instead of resorting to the Obama tactic of attacking people personally about unrelated matters. It’s not like Palin is alone in her views about Obama’s bad policies regarding our country’s nuclear strategy, is it?

Lastly, why is she not allowed to “be an armchair critic” when there are plenty of current and former elected officials that fill that role on both sides of the political aisle?!? I can’t figure out why Palin critics, like you, lose all sense of objectivity and start criticizing her for engaging in the exact type of political commentary countless other Republicans, as well as Democrats, that have served in elected office regularly engage in. Just turn the TV on any night of the week and you’ll see various former or current elected officials doing exactly what Palin is doing.

  103. Correction #102: replace “experience” with “expertise”

  104. The fact that he cannot ignore criticism of any kind and stoops to pick fights with all these people is proof of his narcissism. He cannot let anyone have the last word. If he had not responded to her remark about “death panels” that would have been the end of it, because no one in the media was going to give her the time of day, but he and his posse repeated it often enough that it caught. A narcissist is his own worst enemy. He cannot stand for someone else to get away with an unchallenged critique of anything about him. Everyone must either love him or fear him. Anyone else he will lash out at every time.

  105. jetstream, Obama has neither, so the correction is not necessary.

  106. neuromancer, great idea…so let’s bait him with the word “impeachment” and see if it goes viral in his speeches.

  107. Slappy, it’s so easy to spot the concern trolls, their hypocrisy is like a flashing neon sign. Good job slapping that one down.

engaging in the exact type of political commentary countless other Republicans, as well as Democrats, that have served in elected office regularly engage in. Just turn the TV on any night of the week and you’ll see various former or current elected officials doing exactly what Palin is doing.

Obama claims in the above clip that he is taking advice from the Sec Def and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

I don’t think he’s being honest about this — the man has repeatedly uttered false and misleading statements. He can get away with it because journalists refuse to call him on them.

  109. Let me get this straight……This president attacks a private citizen of this country who has an honest disagreement on policy while he refuses to refer to Islamic radicals as what they are.

What a complete nut job we have.

  110. brian (#93) “only a complete idiot would use the analogy of a child not being able to retaliate when referring to nuclear war. Just so everyone is clear…that in the event of a “nuclear retaliation” at best several billion people would die and life as we know it would cease to exist. she truly has a 22 caliber mind in a 45 caliber world”

Talk about projection, especially with your first and last sentences. You act like Palin is pushing a new policy that has never been supported by previous Presidents, Joint Chiefs of Staff members, or Defense Secretaries. Thus, I guess you didn’t notice that Obama was changing the country’s nuclear policy from the one basically supported by previous administrations, which is the policy that Palin and others would like to keep in place. Unbelievable.

As for your comment about “only a complete idiot would use the analogy of a child not being able to retaliate when referring to nuclear war,” I do “like” the oft-used tactic of Leftist Palin critics that have to state or imply that every opinion she gives is the dumbest thing ever uttered by a human being. Anyone can see through the hyperbole and the concerted effort of sophomoric Leftists like you to destroy her. If anything, that behavior by Palin critics really is the behavior one would expect from an angry, petulant child. It’s even more ridiculous considering the real stupidity we hear every single day coming from people like Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, et al.

  111. #107 neuromancer

I agree. But Obama the narcissist doesn’t lash out at everyone that criticizes him, only those who he thinks are at his level and therefore a threat. The rest of us are just babbling rubes and beneath his notice. Obviously he sees Sarah Palin as someone at his level. She speaks the truth in her criticism of him, so she is a threat.

  112. It’s really sad to see how many people suffer from the Obama version of “Stockholm Syndrome”. It especially bothers me to see young people cheering him on and defending him as he destroys their lives and their futures. I’ll take no joy in living comfortably the rest of my life as their taxes pay all my expenses, never to enjoy the same benefits they are buying for me.

  113. Sarah Palin was required to be up to date on nuclear issues as governor of Alaska.

Hulloo? Palin was chief executive of Alaska, with global and national security responsibilities that most US state governors don’t have. She’s FAR more competent in these issues than Obama is.

  114. #108 Opaobie

    ; )

  115. Thank you for kind words, jetstream.

Richard Romano (#111): “Obama claims in the above clip that he is taking advice from the Sec Def and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

I don’t think he’s being honest about this — the man has repeatedly uttered false and misleading statements. He can get away with it because journalists refuse to call him on them.”

I agree, Richard. Obama is very good at publicly positioning himself to get what he wants, such as using others to give his statements and policies the credibility they don’t deserve because he lacks the leadership ability to convince others, including a majority of the country, that his policies are correct. I think that’s what he’s doing here with the Defense Secretary and Joint Chiefs of Staff, as he’s claiming they support what he’s doing, which is probably him making assumptions, putting them in a corner by claiming they share his views (after all, none of them can really publicly disagree with the POTUS), or only using selected statements by them that appear to agree with his beliefs.

Who can forget the CEO from Caterpillar, who Obama claimed told him that he would hire back his laid off employees if the stimulus bill was passed (which the CEO pretty much denied soon thereafter). That’s just one of many statements by Obama, which are based on nothing more than his wishful thinking and him trying to publicly pressure others so that he can get his way on various policies.

  116. Yah, well at least Sarah Palin knows enough about nukes to know that you don’t downsize a top notch program in exchange for Russia’s crap nuclear program. Obama isn’t smart enough to be Sarah Palin’s bitch.

  117. And don’t forget the Petraeus West Bank/Gaza command request I referred to in #102, Slappy. Petraeus denied he made such a request when speaking to the Senate Armed Services Committee. Here’s a link:
    http://tinyurl.com/y923dz9

  118. Well, enough for tonight. Tomorrow’s another day, another BHO disaster.

  119. I’m not a rabid Palin supporter but I think that she has the better of the argument here.

  120. So, Slappy, now it comes down to whomever criticizes Sara Palin is a “troll”. Brilliant.
Toociz many people on the right have idolozed her EXACTLY the same as the left has done with Obama. Two sides of a tired coin.
The fact remains, she did not fulfill the obligation that she was elected to do by her people.
She is in NO position to be criticizing anyone else. Let her DO instead of TALK!

  121. 2+2=4

  122. Peace through strength!
Maobama and his legion of trolls project a naive, coffee shop diplomacy. They fail to understand the nature of our enemies. Pick up a copy of ‘The Art of War’
    “Don’t depend on the enemy not coming;
rather depend on being ready for him.”
    ~ Sun Tzu

  123. JimG #124, sure she did. She was elected to do what was best for the state of Alaska and its people. That is exactly what she did. Obama only does what is best for HIM. He doesn’t even do what’s best for his own party.

Obama to SecDef and CJCOS: “Let me be clear, when I want your’re opinion, my Chicago goons will slap it out of you. Understand? Now, endorse my policy.”

  124. Jim Hoft, thanks for the link back to O’s dopey 1983 college paper. Just by reading the excerpt of the paper, we should have seen what a windbag he would be! I believe the only other writing we know he did in college was his thesis on nuclear non-proliferation. Isn’t it time somebody in the media got a hold of that paper? He is now turning his ridiculous college thesis into a dangerous reality for our country!

  125. Kato: Read all of Gates’ comments very carefully. He and Obama are not clearly on the same page.

Recall their comments when Obama announced he was sending reinforcements to Afghanistan and that they would begin to come home in 2011?

Gates stressed that their return would depend on the situation on the ground. Gates wanted to focus on the fact that the US was sending reinforcements – not on the idea that the US might prematurely withdraw troops.

He was right. The US Government had to assure Pakistan and some other governments what, in fact, the US intended to do with the reinforcements.

So, as a matter of fact, I think Republicans or at least I believe Gates is doing or trying to do a good job.

Perhaps the more pertinent question is how is Obama’s hope and change mantra working out for the Democrats.

  126. “Let her DO instead of TALK!”

WTF did Obama accomplish in his adult life before he was elected Prez? Answer: nada, zilch, bupkis, zero point zero.

  127. Have we EVER had such a classless and petty man as President of this great Republic? Bush, with all his shortcomings, is 10 times the man this loser is. God save us.

Oh boy, The Won must be feeling a bit threatened by Sarah.

I guess it’s because she’s so dumb. And he’s so freakin’ brilliant.

And way better looking than him, too. Heck, there’s probably nothing he can do better than she can, not even basketball.

Wait. I take that back. We know he lies like a rug. Maybe Palin’s a clever liar, maybe not. But we know he is. He may just be better at lying than she is. He certainly has had more practice at it.

You neglected to mention those who voted for him because they’ve been dead for decades and had to let others cast their ballots for them. ;)

  130. It is more apparent every day that President Obama is a malignant narcisssist, on top of being a marxist, islamist, Chicago-style thug.
Palin is doing a great service by baiting the CIC, who richly deserves such treatment. Obama insists on the perquisites and honors of his office, but belittles other men – such as Senator McCain – by using their first names.
    His pettiness is astounding.

He doesn’t like the late former Pres. Reagan. Palin and Romney won’t get the nominee in 2012.

I see Hooked On Phonics worked for you. Not bad for someone introduced to the written word only a few months ago. You earned a B- for this one.

Proof that conservatives are smarter and have better taste than lefturds. But we already knew that.

    Btw, what’s a “Toociz?”

  134. You guys should let up on JimG. He doesn’t understand Palin resigning as governer because he’s never quit a job. He’s never had a job, either, but that’s not the point. The point is that JimG doesn’t get it because he’s never quit a job and, if he has his way about it, he’ll never be faced with the opportunity to quit a job.

  135. OK, Mr Prez, just what did you find out, and when was “the last time you checked”?

  136. The Titanic was built by squads of experts. The ark was built by someone the experts laughed at.
The Titanic would have survived a collision, would she have rammed the iceberg. The interior was pretty well done, too, they just didn’t expect the water to rise above the water proof decks. As for the ark… it didn’t exist. The whole story is a fairy tale. One pair of each animal… oh yeah, because that would work genetically. Yep! Totally!

“I really have no response to that. The last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues,”
Every Austrian recruit is more of an expert than Obama. Our draftees gets basic training from the “ABC Abwehrschule”, the “nuclear/biological/chemical defense school” (the A is for “atomar”, nuclear.) Some even train as experts in their draft time.

Just so everyone is clear…that in the event of a “nuclear retaliation” at best several billion people would die and life as we know it would cease to exist. she truly has a 22 caliber mind in a 45 caliber world

So you would just sit there and let it happen. Your people all die, the enemy wins, because you don’t want to strike back. Right. You have the mind of a 6mm airsoft “bullet” in a 120mm world.

Honestly, I think both suck. But at least Palin is not a rabid communist like Obama. She’s not hell bent on destroying the free world like he is. Ok, Obama sucks a lot more than Palin. I admit that.

Obama is an appeaser. A bootlicker. A man who crawls and prostrates himself in front of every dictator of this world. Yet, he also spits on his allies. Even Chamberlain wasn’t that stupid.

Appeasement. Because it works so well, doesn’t it? Worked so well on Hitler. Yep. Totally.

Well, we all know it didn’t, but obviously there are some people who believe it did.

    Churchill on Chamberlain:
“He was given a choice between war and dishonor. He chose dishonor and he will have war anyway.”

    I on Obama:
“He was given a choice between war and dishonor. He chose dishonor and he will have war anyway.”

History will repeat itself. It’s the 1930s all over again in Europe. FDR is back in the White House. Ok, a black and even more stupid version of FDR.

  137. There are some stupid comments these people writing on this. And it doesn’t make sense. They don’t understand what is politic means. They must be the Obama’s supporters.

  138. As much as I like Palin, I just don’t think she is up to the task but, sadly, she’s all we have.

  139. I’d rather join Sarah’s Army for Self Defense than that thing Barack wants to foist on us.

  140. Answering criticism of a policy with an ad hominem and an argument from authority is the deed of an intellectual lightweight. Anyone who thinks Obama zinged her is in the same category.

  141. …and they called Bush a chimp and an idiot… That makes Obama something less than a primate…

I wonder what his next response to GOP or Tea Party criticism will be?

“Oh yeah? Well… well… you’re dumber than me!”

    Oh wait. That’s all he’s ever said…

  142. I am so ashamed that obama represents this country. He is a complete disgrace to the Office and to our nation.

If Obama as president is the Libtards’ idea of America, no wonder they hate it. They obviously have disconnected thought processes, ideations, and realities. Such a sad state of mankind to project a dream on such a failure of a human being.

I used to feel sorry for obama because his parents were so piss-poor at their jobs. But, I no longer do. He has had plenty of opportunities, yet he remains bitter, narcissistic, and angry at the world, making choices to self-destruct. This time though, he plans on taking the world pay for his childhood.

  143. To understand Obama’s actions one must accept the established fact that his agenda is anti-American. From this perspective, everything he does makes sense.

  144. “If you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen.” Palin resigned as governer (a job she was elected to do) to become a “celebrity.” Soon she will be starring in her own “reality” show and if she continues to follow in the giant steps of Kate Gosselin “Dancing With The Stars” can’t be far behind. She truly has the experience needed to lead the free world.

  145. The Joint Chiefs and SecDef are “comfortable” with it? What an entirely odd way to put it. Probable translation: They think it’s folly and that I’m, frankly, crazy. They tried to talk me out of it, but I’m Obama and I won.”

  146. Sarah knows how many states to protect…nobama 57 + 1….ohhhhh wait thats muslim states

  147. What is “a did on the playground”?

Shouldn’t that be “a kid on the playground”?

  148. Ian the Troll,

    Our resident woman basher.

    Do you even like women?

    I don’t think you do.

  149. Chisum, #153

How can you of all people call me a woman basher? Can you find anything I’ve said that is as misogynistic as your own quote in reference to Kathleen Sebelius. “Ah, the Death Crone speaks” betrays your own hatred of women more than anything that I have ever said.

  150. “I really have no response to that. The last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues,” Obama said in an interview with ABC News.

You haven’t ran a hot dog stand Obama, she’s run a state, a large one. One that is rich in natural resources, that you won’t use.

If you’re so darn brilliant buddy, release the college records, that ones that show, you are registered as a foreign student from Indonesia.

You’re a fraud President, and we know it. Pretty soon the entire world will!

  151. Ian Christopher:

Shows how easily you buy into liberal narratives about Palin — she resigned her position as governor due to the hostile attacks on her record by liberal zealots; they launched dozens of frivolous ethics charges (Palin was vindicated on them all) to the point that her entire staff was spending hours a day preparing legal defenses for them.

Tax-payers’ money poorly spent, in other words. She felt she could make a better impact for conservatism in the public speaking world — and she has, which has left-wing ideologues like you all in a tizzy.

  152. Look at what “The Hammer” had to say about this ridiculous treaty Obama signed:

“Imagine the scenario: Hundreds of thousands are lying dead in the streets of Boston after a massive anthrax or nerve gas attack. The president immediately calls in the lawyers to determine whether the attacking state is in compliance with the NPT. If it turns out that the attacker is up-to-date with its latest IAEA inspections, well, it gets immunity from nuclear retaliation.”

  153. JimG (#124): “So, Slappy, now it comes down to whomever criticizes Sara Palin is a “troll”. Brilliant.”

Puh-lease. I never posted any sweeping statement like that — i.e., whomever criticizes Sarah (with an “h” on the end) Palin is a “troll“ — just that YOU are a troll, which I stand by. Didn’t I explain in detail why I thought you were being disingenuous and untruthful with your comments in post #40, which is the type of behavior characteristic of trolls? But yet you ignore all this since you do not have a substantive response and simply post a one-line retort that completely mischaracterizes and exaggerates what I wrote. You’re a fool — and a troll.

  154. No wonder Obama has no time to create jobs –he spends all his time attacking critics. More Paranoid than Presidential.

  155. Andreas – no ark? Well here is to hoping you can eat those words.

  156. The last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues,” Obama said in an interview with ABC News.

The last I checked, neither is Barack Obama. It’s pretty clear he’s afraid of Sarah Palin, because even if she never runs for another public office, she’s a powerful voice for the American people, and we know that she, unlike Barry, respects and loves us.

  157. If you are not “anti-jihad,” you are *not* “anti-war.”

  158. Dear Patriots,

I beg you — run Sarah Palin in 2012 as the Republican candidate. Please, please, please!!!

    Signed,
    Leftists Who Hate Your Freedom

  159. …just looked at this topic again, and I wanted to add this…sorry, slightly off topic but important if I want to address a side issue that Liberals, and some Conservatives, consider a “negative” for Palin: her belief in Creationism or at least her partial belief in it and her foundation in Christian faith.

    This is for troll slapping:

AuntieMadder #136, he probably grabbed the wrong talking points sheet…the one for adults. He’s more in the “78 rpm record on a 33 1/3 rpm turntable” type.

This one addresses a misconception many good folks have about Creation vs. Darwinian Evolution. Even Darwin would reject it as it is presented today.

Andreas K. #140, Unlike many whimsical drawings that depict the Ark as some kind of overgrown houseboat (with giraffes sticking out the top), the Ark described in the Bible was a huge vessel. Not until the late 1800s was a ship built that exceeded the capacity of Noah’s Ark. It is no fairy tale. The Ark did not need to carry every kind of animal–nor did God command it. It carried only air-breathing, land-dwelling animals, creeping things, and winged animals such as birds. Aquatic life (fish, whales, etc.) and many amphibious creatures could have survived in sufficient numbers outside the Ark. This cuts down significantly the total number of animals that needed to be on board, including dinosaurs, but the majority were young ones, possibly “juveniles” so to speak. Another factor which greatly reduces the space requirements is the fact that the tremendous variety in species we see today did not exist in the days of Noah. Only the parent “kinds” of these species were required to be on board in order to repopulate the earth. For example, only two dogs were needed to give rise to all the dog species that exist today. Early animals were rich with DNA, it had not been diluted with thousands of years of dividing among the offspring, so the code for every kind from small dogs to great wolves was present…same for the other kinds of animals.

Creationist estimates for the maximum number of animals that would have been necessary to come on board the Ark have ranged from a few thousand to 35,000, but they may be as few as two thousand if the biblical kind is approximately the same as the modern family classification.

As stated before, Noah wouldn’t have taken the largest animals onto the Ark; it is more likely he took juveniles aboard the Ark to repopulate the earth after the Flood was over. These younger animals also require less space, less food, and have less waste.

Using a short cubit of 18 inches (46 cm) for the Ark to be conservative, the conclusion is that “less than half of the cumulative area of the Ark’s three decks need to have been occupied by the animals and their enclosures.” This meant there was plenty of room for fresh food, water, and even many other people. With the cubit’s measurement, we know that the Ark must have been at least 450 feet (137 m) long, 75 feet (23 m) wide, and 45 feet (14 m) high. In the Western world, wooden sailing ships never got much longer than about 330 feet (100 m), yet the ancient Greeks built vessels at least this size 2,000 years earlier. China built huge wooden ships in the 1400s that may have been as large as the Ark. The biblical Ark is one of the largest wooden ships of all time–a mid-sized cargo ship by today’s standards.

Don’t be too quick to dismiss Creation if you can believe that everything we see today in the universe (and things too far away to see) all originated from “nothing” with no intelligence, no energy, and no original source material….Now THAT takes blind faith!

  160. Opaobie … your last paragraph in 166 above is a particularly good point.

The actions of the Re-, er, Progressives are logical extensions of such faith … which is faith in their own omniscience … expressed with an intolerant fundamentalist zeal that makes the Religious Right look downright laissez-faire by comparison.

Many of them have become the poster children for Romans 1:22.

  161. Ian Christopher … just because Ms. Palin doesn’t meet your preconceptions about intelligence and wisdom, does not mean that she lacks those attributes.

Far from it … I learned early on in my own career that those “below my pay grade” in terms of education actually exhibited wiser thinking on many occasions than I did.

And the flip side is always true … sometimes the most educated man can be the most foolish, because they lack wisdom.

Don’t conflate education/erudition/intellect with the far-more-valuable attribute of wisdom …

… including the wisdom to realize that tyranny does not retreat on its own if we act “nice”, but must be credibly confronted until it is defeated …
… and including the wisdom to realize that many of the problems we face as a society are so individual-specific in the details, that they are better left to 300 million problem-solvers than EXCLUSIVELY to a few Best and Brightest hell-bent on Saving the Legacy of Woodstock Nation.

  162. BTW, I think we all should start pronouncing “nuclear” as GWB and Ms. Palin do.

It drives the Regressives nuts … and if they can redefine “gay” and “tolerance” as they have, we can at least change the “official” pronunciation of a word they hate anyway.

  163. CODE KEY, I WISH YOU WOULD’NT BEAT AROUN THE BUSH, JUST SAY WHAT YOU MEAN. DON’T PUSSYFOOT AROUND.
