Birther Michelle Obama told a crowd in 2008:
“When we took our trip to Africa and visited his home country in Kenya, we took a public HIV test.”
This weekend the video went viral:
The clip comes from a June 2008 campaign speech she delivered to the Gay & Lesbian Leadership Council of the Democratic National Committee in New York City, as reported by Reuters.

Hmmm… so she says this in June 2008, yet the video is not released until almost 2 years later, around the same time that Barack Obama accuses the Tea Party movement of being nothing but a core of “birthers” and kooks. Coincidence? I think not.
My guess is this was planned as a distraction. Get the right-of-center people off of talking about the disaster that is the Obama Administration and their healthcare bill and instead talking about this. Then, the media and the Administration can go “See! See! Obama was right, they’re just a bunch of kook ‘birthers’!”
They can’t argue the bill on the merits, so they’re manufacturing all this nonsense as distraction. Don’t fall for it.
Personally, I thought this article at Pat Dollard’s site was a better one on which to focus. I think the majority of the country has wised up to the fact that Obama is an incompetent, empty-suit ignoramus about everything, so something like this will stick.

So, they visited a number of nations in Africa on that trip, and pretty much ALL of them have problems with AIDS, Don’t know HER ethnic roots, but … did they NOT visit HER “HOMELAND” on that trip?
If they DID, why did she not mention THAT as well? Why just “HIS”???
You know, “my homeland, such and such, and His homeland, Kenya…”, didn’t he only call his visit to his grannie before she died, “where I grew up”???

All the same, regardless of all the circumstances, one indisputable fact remains – if you tell even a “lowly” Justice of the Peace or County Judge that you “HAVE” the documents, but you don’t have to show them, he or she will tell you, then HE doesn’t have to PRESUME that you do have them IN EXISTENCE, AT ALL! PERIOD.
Too many questions are raised by NOT showing them.
Today, I returned an item to Wal-Mart that I had lost the sales ticket to. I was changing purses, and doing so slowly, not all at once, so I had left a bulky billfold in the old purse and forgot I had moved my Driver’s License from a small bag with a ton of other cards, to the bulky but open billfold, when I voted, last month – thank goodness I took the old purse with me on the shopping trip to the next town. I had my old Driver’s License in the small bag in my new purse, but that lady clerk would NOT ACCEPT my EXPIRED DRIVER’S LICENSE WITH MY PHOTO and current info on it, in lieu of my NEW Driver’s License. I was glad all I had to do was go back to the car for it.
MY burning question: WHY would you spend so much money trying to NOT show your documents, in AMERICA? Where Democrats would forgive him of ANYTHING, including MURDER, except discovering he was a registered GOP voter??? And “FIX” it for him!

I don’t know where he was born but it has been stated that in order to attend school and live in Indonesia, he had to relinquish his citizenship. So he must have been born in the US…but but he could not get his citizenship back so he is not a natural born citizen. Also, he looks nothing like Barack Obama Sr. who was very black, fine featured, and s.h.o.r.t. as was his mother. I found a pic of Franklin Marshall Davis, a family friend and mentor, and he looks so much like Bracky it is very obvious. Tall, light skinned, coarse featured. He was also an avowed Commie. This is whats hiding in the locked records. But everything gets found eventually, just hope there is a country to expose him as a poser.

We know the truth. He is Kenyan born. I was born with eyes to see, and a brain to reason with. God did not send a disclaimer with it stating:Your eyes that see, and brain to reason with, have to have what you know to be true, confirmed by those with a keyboard, a microphone, or a camera in their face. My God given eyes, and brain that I reason with, know the truth.
What makes me so angry, is all of those siding with the enemy, over their fellow soldier, or citizen. They are giving a serial liar, more benefit of the doubt than their own fellow citizen. It’s repulsive.

I agree that Obama might be Kenyan-born. Why hasn’t some one documented where Stanley Ann Dunham was in 1961? Wouldn’t that resolve it? Can we check travel manifests or passport info?
Further, I don’t read too much into what Michelle says here. She’s not the most artful speaker. I have to agree with Ian that many Americans of European descent might consider the nation of their forebearers to be some sort of “homeland” “fatherland” or “motherland.”
I find myself more supportive of Jack Cashill’s theories of Obama really being of nondescript birth in Hawaii, either by Mr. Dunham and a black woman or by Stanley Ann and Frank Marshall Davis. Obama is clearly a Dunham. Cashill had photos of Barry next to Mr. Dunham. The resemblance of facial features was rremarkable.
There is lots of stuff he’s hiding. We just don’t know what it is precisely. His academic records and claims to achievements are probably fabricated. He may have had Indonesian citizenship. We know by his own admissions, he hung out with pretentious, leftist radicals.

This whole birth issue has me crazy, all anyone is asking is PROOF. The left came out against and the week kneed in our party again ran scared. It’s a distraction they yell, or you’re hurting the parties chances. Once again we allowed the left to set the rules. I have no idea where or when this guy was born, but he does and he should be made to prove it.
The presidency is to important to every person in this country to allow anyone to just say they aren’t going to release all their relevant records. The moment we allow anyone to just deny the people the whole truth, well we are lost.

I am Italian and Polish American. I was born and raised in the US. I never consider Italy or Poland to be my homeland. My homeland is America. I don’t think this is an unusual thought.
Furthermore, my husband would NEVER call Italy or Poland my homeland which is de facto what Michelle Obama did in this video.

You are being painted as kooks by Obama et al. and the release of this video does nothing more than add fuel to that flame. You are being used by the left. They are putting you in a box called ‘violent, hateful, right wing idiot nut’. They want to incite you, to get you to act out.
Obama will never provide any evidence to appease you, even if he truly wanted to and even if the evidence he provided was completely true. Birthers have gotten themselves into a tizzy and Obama wants to keep you there because it helps him destabilize the right and those who’re against him and what he stands for.

Actually Joanne, I don’t care. There are so much bigger fish to fry concerning Obama. The birth issue isn’t even on my radar. The left and those on the right who believe Obama was born in Kenya are the only ones who’re making this a big deal, and the left are only doing it to stoke you, not because they believe it.
This isn’t about shutting the right down. You know how the left could shut the right down? By getting the right to act violently. To have proof of racism and to have proof that anything the right promotes does not work.
I have zero problem with those who have concerns about Obama’s birth researching it. Jack Cashill is someone who’s spent quite a bit of time looking into it and thinking about it. But until you have airtight proof, all it is, is circumstantial evidence, and that doesn’t win cases.
Furthermore, if Obama came out tomorrow and said, here is my real, original birth certificate showing I was born in Hawaii, would you believe him and it? I’ll presume you wouldn’t.
Hammer him on healthcare. Hammer him on so much else with solid facts. The birther issue is irrelevant. Only you and the left make it relevant. I’ll focus on everything else that can make a difference – which is what the left doesn’t want you to focus on Joanne.
In 2 1/2 or 6 1/2 years, when Obama leaves office, I bet he still will not have provided what the birthers want, nor will he have ever been brought to court over it. However, laws may be written so that no one else can play the games that he is playing.
Al Capone was finally sent to jail on tax evasion, not any other of his certain criminal acts. Edwin Edwards was similarly jailed finally after years of the government continuing to throw everything at him until something stuck. Both effectively got away with a lot of illegal and wrong schemes, etc. Another words, you pick your battles, and the birther issue is a non-issue, it’s a battle not worth fighting.
We told the Democrats and algor supporters in 2000, get over it, Bush won, to charges of judicial games and other conspiracies. You are in the same boat now. Obama won, move on to better and easier targets. The birth issue is not a worthwhile target.
And so what happens if Obama is brought in front of a court? What if you win? What if Obama is impeached and/or convicted? What do you think that’d do to this country? Or, what if you lose? What do you think that’d do to not only the birther charges, but the conservative movement in general? Birthers are not thinking this thru.
I don’t know where Obama was born, and I don’t care. It’s too late to worry about that. Our nation is falling into full statism. Worry more about how to stop it and reverse course. Proving the birther argument and/or removing Obama from office before 2012 will not work to the conservative advantage. Hit the left, Obama et al., elsewhere, on healthcare and so much more.
