Government Releases New Numbers on Obamacare Showing Costs Will Skyrocket

This really is criminal– Now that Obamacare has been rammed into law we get to see just how much we were lied to by the radical left and the state-run media.
The federal government released a new report on the cost of Obamacare and the results are troubling. The report comes from actuaries from Medicare and Medicaid. Medical costs will skyrocket rising $389 billion 10 years. 14 million will lose employer-based coverage. Millions will be left without insurance. And millions more may be dumped into the already overwhelmed Medicaid system. 4 million American families will be hit with tax penalties under this new law.
Of course, these were ALL things that democrats and President Obama assured us would not happen.
Via Special Report:
Nancy Pelosi told America in March, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”
Now we know.

I am not naive, I know that most if not all politicians may bend the truth from time to time. I do believe that lying has reached proportions that have never been seen before. It is disheartening to listen to a member of Congress, stand before Americans and lie, especially when you know he knows he is telling a lie. The President has lied on so many occasions it is hard to keep track. Especially troubling is the fact that there seems to be no self imposed limits on their lies. They are telling lies in order to further their agenda and they seem to feel this is acceptable. I can not say I have never lied, but I can say every time I have I felt a little twinge in the back of my head that it was wrong. I will be a hypocrite and try to punish those that have lied to me come November, I only hope enough people feel the same way so as to rid us of these corrupt people. We must as Americans demonstrate we will not be treated this way by our elected officials.

For those who don’t know, this is when Obama gives a speech and claims he has “always said” something that is actually the exact opposite of what he has always said and the press never questions him about the obvious contradiction – but how can the press question him? Of course health costs will skyrocket. Many types of providers in the system will raise their costs because they know that a government pool of money is larger than a private pool. They will also have real increased costs of meeting requirements such as paperwork and such, along with higher demand as at least everal million are added to the system. To say nothing of the number of doctors who will decide to quit practice. If just 10% of doctors quit, you are looking at a real disaster right there.
I think it is going to be much worse than anyone has described so far, even opponents.

When the government bears health care costs, the government will then have the responsiblity and the reason, and therefore the power, to do what’s necessary to bring those costs down. What scares me, Joanne, is that could mean government control of the number of live births per couple, as it is in China, meaning forced abortions. As a truly pro-choice woman, the idea of women being forced to undergo abortions terrifies me (even though I’m 46 years old and will surely never be one of those women; it’s not for me that I’m terrified by the idea of it).
Govt controlled and paid health care can, and most likely will, lead to govt control of what we are allowed to eat and drink and how much of it, in an effort to reduce and control obesity numbers. It could mean the outright delegalization of tobacco products and of the use of tobacco products. It could mean the delegalization or rationing of alcoholic beverages. It could mean rationing of sugar, salt, corn syrup, and fats, and the products that contain them.
Perhaps none of these things have happened in Europe and Canada as a result of their nationalized health care. However, as you noted, their numbers of citizens are much smaller than ours. Further, if Obamao and the Demonrats have their way about it, we’ll also be funding and providing health care for illegals – millions and millions of illegals. Lastly and most importantly, neither Europe nor Canada are controlled by Marxist purists such as Obamao and Pelousy, just to mention two, nor are they forcing through so many, many pieces of legislation that move their citiziens in such huge leaps from freedom to socialism, and at such a quick pace. Therefore, I think we could see govt control here that they don’t see here, and we could see it here in no time at all.

No. But bribing congresscritters to get the bill signed, which we know as a fact did, indeed, happen, is criminal. Blackmailing or otherwise twisting their arms, which hasn’t yet been proven though many of us suspect took place, is also criminal. Be that as it may, without the bribes the bill wouldn’t have been signed. Add to that the fact that the majority of the people don’t want it, and it’s criminal.
Now, scoot back over the DKos or PuffHo were you belong. Idiot.
