German Bishop Attacked at Easter Mass

The German Bishop of Muenster was attacked by a man with a broom handle during Easter mass today.
The bishop defended himself with the incense bowl.
ABC7 reported, via Free Republic:
Police say a man attacked the Roman Catholic Bishop of Muenster with a broom handle during an Easter service in the city’s cathedral.Police said in a statement Sunday that 60-year-old bishop Felix Genn defended himself with an incense bowl and was unharmed.A police spokesman tells the German news agency DAPD that “courageous church officials and other service attendants restrained the attacker until police arrived.” After the incident, the bishop continued celebrating the Easter service.
Police say the 44-year-old man stormed through the packed church to the altar.
The media blamed the attack on the recent church abuse scandal in Germany although this is not clear at all at this point.
The Earth Times reported that the attacker had previously been in treatment and was taken to a psychiatric hospital for observation.

The same media is awfully silent over the abuse scandal in the “Oberwaldschule”, also in Germany, where sexual assaults on children has a 100 year tradition.

The MSM seems to ignore the pedophile practices, or the arranged marriages of Muslim men to underage children. However, MSM seems to be rabid in reporting the alleged wrong doings of the Catholic Church.

On the one hand, kudos to His Eminence for understanding and making use of the “incense bowl”. (St. Peter would have been proud.) If it was anything like the “thurifer” I used in my altar boy days, there is a functional similarity to one of those midieval mace thingies.
One the other hand, I could see how someone from that part of Germany could go over the edge. My mother used to try to feed me their local (Muenster) cheese. She sure put a hurt on any number of ham sandwiches.

There are more Government-Union school teachers molesting America’s children than there are Catholic priests and Catholic priests do not concern me as much as the extreme radical Left-wing Catholics (ie Nancy Pelosi, Kennedy Klan etc) who have hijacked the Catholic faith and replaced God with themselves.
I pray Catholics clean out the dirty cup of extreme radical Left-wing Catholics from their faith otherwise their religion won’t have meaning or purpose.

If it had, the bishop would have been arrested for “offensive use” of an incense bowl and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
