But on Wednesday April 28, 2010, President Obama told reporters that that the Arizona immigration law, which upholds federal law and allows police to demand proof of citizenship, threatens the “core values that we all care about.”
The Obama Administration will likely challenge the new Arizona law.

How could Obama say that the Arizona anti-illegal law threatens our “core beliefs” when it’s modeled very closely after federal immigration law?
Watching and hearing the left’s tiny minds and voices decry this much needed bill is becoming humorous. For example, they draw parallels to Nazi Germany when they say anything about “your papers, please” but ignore federal immigration law requiring resident aliens to carry their immigration cards with them at all times.
The hypocricy on the left is approaching the level of insanity.

This discussion about this bill has been very heavily obscured by people who have not read it, including the President of the US and the people who are supposed to brief him.
I am more disturbed by what I suspect is complete, pull-it-out-of-the-air, babbling incompetence by the President’s aides than by any alleged mendacity by the President. The guy’s a politician. I expect him to massage the message. His aides, by contrast, have a duty to at least start from an accurate assessment of the TEXT of the law THAT WAS PASSED.
The man can’t tell a competent lie unless he at least begins with the facts. The difference between BO and Clinton is precisely the aides. BO is no less charming and smooth than Clinton. And they are about the same, when it comes to honesty. But even people who disliked Clinton’s politics would enjoy his lies because they were well-crafted, and he’d say it with a smile.
BO’s administration needs to upgrade the quality of his lies.

Do NOT Read This Supreme Court Decision
if you want to be able to continue using terms like Nazi, Communist and Apartheid to describe the new Arizona immigration law. Or if, like President Obama, you want to claim that the law would allow people to be questioned merely for going out for ice cream. Because none of these accusations have a basis in reality.
Some quick research, available to all the people screaming about the Arizona law, reveals that the U.S. Supreme Court has reviewed the issue of questioning potential illegal aliens regarding citizenship or immigration status, and has found such questioning permissible provided that the “characteristic appearance” of the person was not the sole factor giving rise to a “reasonable suspicion” that the person might be here illegally.
