On January 20, 2009.
It’s only the beginning, folks.

We need to end the Liberal-Government-Media Complex!

I have YET to hear a Census 2010 plug that mentions electoral representation.
They’re all about taking more cookies from the jar.

Right after “free” health care for all, cash for clunkers, pay my mortgage, no foreclosures for free loaders, wampum for weatherization, Government Motors, and the trashing of the constitution.

What is the deal? This administration is all about…given the folks the stuff. “Stuff” seems to be a theme. Where did these people come from? The problem is, he is smashing small business, and they are the ones that produce most of the jobs and “stuff!” Mr. President, How about you just get the fbomb out of my way so I can make more money, and give jobs to the people that need that stuff. They want to buy their own “stuff” not have you hand them the “stuff” you think they need.
Andreas K. commented:
Really, I’m so tempted to simply waltz up to the US embassy on Monday and demand “stuff” from the US, because the “evil” and “imperialist” US of A, driven by the “evil Jews”(tm) bombed by home town in WW2!
It’s my right to get stuff from Obama!

Good question.

I teach in public school; they’ve been pushing us to push it too. Of course I don’t. If I can’t tell kids not to have abortions or pray with them, then I certainly am not going to tell them to make sure their family’s census forms are filled out.
Radegunda commented:
There’s a census ad that starts, “If there were 100 kids in our town, we’d need 5 teachers. If we got more kids, we’d need more teachers …”
Then, I read a teacher whining about how he used to have 20 students and how terrible it is that he’s forced to teach more.
There were certainly more than 20 to a class when I went through school. But the people who now run the public schools think 20 is standard and anything more is oppressive. They also have way more paid non-teaching days.
There’s part of our budget problem.

Read Ann Coulter’s “Godless”. It will make your head spin to hear how education in this country is such a waste.
We don’t need more teachers, we need to hold the ones we have accountable, and get tripe like this off our tv sets…
firewifem commented:
Trish, I couldn’t agree with you more. We need parents to be more responsible too (I know you Gateway Punditers are responsible or you wouldn’t be on here). I actually had to explain to a parent recently that the reason she wasn’t getting the response from teachers that she wanted was because she wants her son to take more responsibility for himself, and that is not the norm in public education today. We are told to “make it work” meaning get the F’s down and do whatever you have to so that kids pass. I could make your hair turn gray within minutes with stories of public education. It’s a sad state of affairs, but I try to fight the good fight against it every day in my classroom anyway.

Uhh, what I’m not getting are the people who appear to be well-informed — and that would include Rush Limbaugh — expressing a desire to head for New Zealand.
Don’t get me wrong, I was there some 30 years ago, and the physical beauty of the place is beyond description. I’m sure it still is. But that may be where the beauty ends.
Do I have it wrong? But I know people who’ve left the USA to live there and this is what I picked up in conversations: NZ is much farther along the socialism thing than we are.
This family was visiting me in 2001 — I remember the husband saying, “We like socialism,” referring to their years in NZ. Less than 2 years later he was dead. Yeah. He fell victim to their nationalized health care — the “rationed” kind. His heart had become so weakened in the 3 months’ wait for surgery after discovering (belatedly, I’m sure) a need for valve replacement, that he died following the operation. Oh, they put him on life support, but that had to be taken from him when someone else needed it. (He’d had the procedure before in the US and his doctors here told him he’d need it again and would have monitored it over the years.)
Their kids are all screwed up. I could tell you it was the selfish, nutty liberal parents, but that’s probably only half of the story. You see, the government actually pays kids to leave home to live on their own at age 16…Got a 16 yr.old you want living on his/her own? But, hey, I remember this really appealed to them: more money comin’ my way!
They were known for always working the angles — getting someone else to pay their way. It just didn’t work out so well for them in the end.
No sane parent would want his child watching public television. Pornography, I remember hearing, and probably more vile things could easily be seen.
Don’t know much about Amy Procter, but those videos about NZ look like a nice campaign to fool people. Has this nice young lady been duped?
I’m just sayin’, keep your eyes wide open, people. Something might look good on the surface, but take a second and third look before buying it.
*********
Re this indoctrination video for our kids…a chat with a retired friend last year who’d moved to Idaho has me convinced seniors are also being targeted. I can remember silently shaking my head, saying nothing as a “continuing education class” she and her husband had taken fed them the liberal lies. She and her husband bought it and think this health care plan will work out just fine for us all.
Come to think of it, this gal likes the freebies too…guess these liberals really know how to reel ‘em in.
There’s no such thing as a free lunch, folks.
