Chris Matthews: Without Progressives America Would Be Like …Calcutta (Video)

Tingles was on a roll yesterday.
First he praised the democrat’s socialist agenda and wondered why ungrateful Americans were not buying it. Then he claimed that without the selfless progressives, America would be just like Calcutta.

Of course, it was only when India moved away from its socialist past and towards a more capitalistic economy that the country has seen such enormous growth in the past two decades. But, facts don’t seem to matter much to far left media hacks.
Oh, and Matthews also blamed the tea parties for the threats against Senator Murray in the same rant, too.

Hilarious! Tingles has really outdone himself this time, even by his usual standard of ignorance. Under socialism, India was choked by layers of waste, inefficiency, mindless bureaucracy and corruption – exactly what the progressives have in store for America. Capitalism doubled the average life expectancy in America in well under 200 years – possibly the greatest achievement in human history. Progressives have inflicted nothing but social problems and degradation in America since the 60′s. Let’s talk about the exponential explosion of teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, gang culture and murder in inner cities since the left became the dominant social influence.

As an Indian, I got a huge kick out of this. Calcutta is a sewer pit comprised of depraved morsels of former humanity. Its the state capitol of West Bengal which has been ruled by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) for 40 or so years continuously.
