DEMOCRATS HID DAMNING HEALTH CARE REPORT FROM PUBLIC UNTIL A MONTH AFTER VOTE
More hope and change–
A damning health care report generated by actuaries at the Health and Human Services (HHS) Department was given to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius more than a week before the health care vote. She hid the report from the public until a month after democrats rammed their nationalized health care bill through Congress.
The results from the report were troubling. The report released by Medicare and Medicaid actuaries shows that medical costs will skyrocket rising $389 billion 10 years. 14 million will lose their employer-based coverage. Millions of Americans will be left without insurance. And, millions more may be dumped into the already overwhelmed Medicaid system. 4 million American families will be hit with tax penalties under this new law.
Of course, these were ALL things that President Obama and Democratic leaders assured us would not happen.

The American Spectator reported, via FOX Nation:
The economic report released last week by Health and Human Services, which indicated that President Barack Obama’s health care “reform” law would actually increase the cost of health care and impose higher costs on consumers, had been submitted to the office of HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius more than a week before the Congressional votes on the bill, according to career HHS sources, who added that Sebelius’s staff refused to review the document before the vote was taken.
“The reason we were given was that they did not want to influence the vote,” says an HHS source. “Which is actually the point of having a review like this, you would think.”
The analysis, performed by Medicare’s Office of the Actuary, which in the past has been identified as a “nonpolitical” office, set off alarm bells when submitted. “We know a copy was sent to the White House via their legislative affairs staff,” says the HHS staffer, “and there were a number of meetings here almost right after the analysis was submitted to the secretary’s office. Everyone went into lockdown, and people here were too scared to go public with the report.”
In the end, the report was released several weeks after the vote.
When Nancy Pelosi told America, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it,” she forgot to mention that democrats already knew what was in it. They just didn’t want the rest of the country to find out.
If we had a responsible media this would make headlines for about the next year and a half.

So, who is going to ask Mr. Gibbs what happened to that report, and why wasn’t it released in a timely fashion? There are names associated with that decision. There should be reasons, as well.

The possibility of legal action against Kath-a-leen Sebelius, her staff and senior WH staff should be enough motivation to start the wheels turning to nullify this bill. (And then I woke up.)

The first bill we passed after I was sworn in as Senator was ethics reform legislation to create transparency and help put a stop to the culture of secrecy in Washington, including ending “secret” anonymous holds on nominees and legislation. We passed it by a vote of 92 to 6.
But instead of embracing new accountability standards, some of my colleagues are taking turns secretly holding up nominees instead of owning up and explaining why the nominees should be held.
This is ridiculous. Passing the law should have been enough.
To force the “secret” holds into the open, I sought to get a vote on nearly 80 uncontroversial nominations that are currently being held up without an explanation. Republican leaders objected to every one.
As you know, I’ve been outspoken about the need for transparency in government from the beginning. Whether it’s earmarks or secret holds, it’s past time we put an end to any “tradition” that involves back rooms and out-of-view deal making related to the public’s business.
Every senator has the right to object to any nomination on the floor, but as public servants we should explain our objections to the people who elected us.

This bill will force everyone to pay for health insurance, whether or not they need it. And if they can’t ‘afford it’ (everybody wants everything for free), then the government will waste the money for them.
I haven’t been to the doctor in 15 years. I’m fortunate. I have a Cadillac individual health insurance plan that I pay less than 200 dollars a month as a 40 year old male. Since I didn’t go to the doctor, I didn’t really need to pay for the insurance. Had I not paid for my insurance, I would not have been ‘denied health care due to lack of insurance’.
This government wants to throw (other people’s) money away on healthy young deadbeats regardless of whether they need it or we have the money for it. Health insurance is not health care. You can get health care without insurance.
People think if they don’t have a doctor copay of 15 dollars that they are being ‘denied health care’. You can get a doctor visit without insurance for a little over 100 bucks. Just because it isn’t covered with insurance doesn’t mean you are being ‘denied health care’.
The lies that the administration used to pass this completely voluntary bill are shameful. None of the people in congress understood it at any greater level than ‘Democrats need a ‘win”. Well the D’s win this one and America loses because we just bought a bigger house than we can afford with health care. Foreclosure is the only option and that will happen within the 10 years that this bill is forecasted.
It’s just sad how deliberately misleading these people are. . . and then they have the NERVE to complain when people get upset that they are absolutely wasting money while people can’t get jobs. They are fiddling while Rome is burning, and they expect you to worship them for it.

By ‘voluntary bill’ I mean it like a ‘chosen war’. America didn’t have to burden itself with this bill. The administration and leadership voluntarily chose to saddle America with a crushing system designed to fail.
If the government wants insurance companies to go out of business, they will. . . but don’t expect them to pay the claims after the government forces them out of business. If insurance companies go out of business, they let the government suckers pay the claims that they took premiums for paying. But insurance companies get to keep the money if they go out of business and stop paying any claims altogether.
It will be a case of you don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone. When health insurance companies ‘go Galt’, I hope you aren’t sick or undergoing treatment. By the way, hospitals and doctors will go out of business too under this bill. . . the Obama administration would have you believe that forcing doctors and hospitals to close is necessary for making America great. Worship Obama and don’t ask questions or you’ll be like Timothy McVeigh.

This is fraud – pure and simple. It is a clear violation of the law to withhold relevant information in order to influence a vote. The problem is that the US Attorney General, who should be the one to prosecute this, is too busy running interference for the Black Panthers to be bothered by a few lies told to get trillions of dollars added to the deficit. The insurance rates for every employed person I know have been scheduled to rise substantially by July. This will certainly become a bigger story. I believe the AG’s for several states should be looking to indict somebody for the offenses committed against its citizens by the criminal government in Washington. I hope the Texas AG is the first. I’m continually bemused by the breathless reporting of how such and such in o-care contradicts the prez/pelosi’s very words – OF COURSE IT CONTRADICTS what they’ve said all along.
the issue imm has never been about fixing anything or lowering costs or whatever; the only matter of importance to them was getting the gov’t's swollen mass as firmly implanted into our health care as much as possible, by hook or by crook. they did that.
certainly no one is going to be able to shame o or pelosi or liberal democrats into admitting they lied about much of this – they achieved their true objective and “see I told you so’s” are just background noise to them. those pesky real-world facts about higher costs, NOT being able to “keep your doctor”, etc., never were what this was about.

Its going to be hard to choose issues for Republicans to run on this year. We have the Healthcare Bill which Dems knew would raise everyone’s insurance premiums sky high before they signed it. Then a Dem Representative from the State of Arizona calling for a boycott of all businesses and tourism in Arizona while Obama worries about the Civil Rights of Illegals.
Or maybe the Republicans could focus in on Obama’s bi-partisan debt commission where raising taxes is their main goal while cities like Harrisburg, Pa consider bankruptcy. Maybe the pictures of a tent city in Queens, NY as people slept in the streets for 3 days just to get an application for an apprentice elevator tech job.

Just after Rush said yesterday that there is no chance an Immigration Bill will be passed this year–he had to say that Harry Reid is going to come up with a bill in 3 weeks. Why? I just finished filing a complaint with the Texas AG consumer fraud division over this. My employer has already notified me that my insurance rates are going up starting in July. If more people would complain to their State AG’s, reps and congressmen, we might get something started to counteract this lunacy.
