Well, this is not very good news for the tax and spend liberals…
66% say Americans are overtaxed.
Rasmussen reported:
When thinking about all the services provided by federal, state and local governments, 75% of voters nationwide say the average American should pay no more than 20% of their income in taxes. However, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that most voters (55%) believe the average American actually pays 30% or more of their income in taxes.
Sixty-six percent (66%) believe that America is overtaxed. Only 25% disagree.
Unfortunately, Obama tripled the national deficit in his first year.

He’s increased the national debt to $12 Trillion.
And, you know what that means… Massive new tax increases are right around the corner.

Now that we are so deeply in debt, the next thing the Dems want to do is give us the value added tax to pay for their contributions to their favorite patrons.
Anybody who thinks the VAT is going to be revenue-neutral is naiive.
Anyone who thinks the VAT is going to do anything but increase the volatility of the income stream to the US treasury hasn’t been paying attention to the problems that California has been having.
chuck in st paul commented:
Hey, no problem-o. We just slap on the VAT and all debts will vanish. [/sarc]

actually that is pretty sad that it is 66

Good news for the health care bill! That means 33% of the country is in a coma!

When, when, when will the electorate learn that the democrat party is the party of raising taxes? Please, people, stop voting for anyone with a D after their name…

You’ve seen nothing yet.
Tax hike is coming. For Obamacare, for the immigration “reform” and for whatever other boondoggle.
Hedgehog commented:
The other 44% don’t pay any income tax. Why should they think that they are overtaxed. Wait until the higher energy, cigarette, alcohol, transfat and sodium, etc taxes kick in. The 44% will howl like a pack of scalded dogs.

Wait a minute, I thought that Obama had a stash he was using, you know, some funds that belong to Obama? Obama money.

David Johnson commented:
Sorry, I checked and Obama certainly does seem to have some money, so, apparently, the “stash” is safe for now:

Of course any one with two brain cells to rub together knows that when the Dems pass this VAT not even 20% will go to deficit reduction or for correcting the decades of robbing from Soc Sec. The Dems will look at the VAT as more money in the piggy bank to spend, spend and spend some more. As my big brother used to tell me when we were growing up “Hide and Watch”.

Sad for the tax and spend democrats huh Tom.
This is going to be an ass whupin like no other ever seen in November. My son’s first election and he is voting absentee as he is in school. Guess what double E’s do not vote democrat, he is a thinker not a redistributionist socialist.
Scott Wiggins commented:
I look forward to the first state saying, go ahead with your new tax. We’re not collecting it for you! When this happens will you hear the scoundrels in Washington howl like the hounds of hell. Only this will stop them…Congress is run by fools from both parties. Look at John McCain and Lindsey Graham. Two pathetic examples of Republican leadership. The Republicans in Congress are lightweights. They are not packing the gear to stop the democrats…
Alf commented:
You can bet that the 25% who disagree do not pay any income taxes at all.
The remainder are probably liberal arts majors who didn’t have time to refer to a Dem website before answering, so instead answered “Not Sure.”
Doug commented:
“You can bet that the 25% who disagree do not pay any income taxes at all.” They know their debit cards will be increased to cover this.

Whats shocking is that 34 percent of americans don’t think they are over taxed?!

Notice how you didn’t say that Obama LOWERED taxes. He increased spending and cut taxes just like Bush. Also, try a little REALITY in your next post on this subject. What voters FEEL and reality are two different things. http://dissentingjustice.blogspot.com/2010/04/are-americans-stupid-brainwashed-or.html
