Accused Navy Seals Head to Court in Iraq (Video)

The accused Navy Seals head to court today in Iraq. FOX News interviewed former Navy Seal Scott Taylor today about the trial:

Scott Taylor said this about the court case:

“First of all, I’ll say it again, I’m confident these men are innocent and I believe they’ll be found innocent. This sends a horrible message to our troops as well as our enemies that all they have to do is accuse some of our folks of beating them and they have three of our top warriors taken off the battlefield.”

Agreed.

** Scott Taylor is also running for Congress in VA-2.

Lying charges were dropped against two of the Navy Seals but they still face courts-martial for allegedly not protecting Ahmed Hashim Abed — a terror suspect who the military says masterminded the killing, burning and lynching of contractors for the company formerly known as Blackwater..
The UPI reported:

Prosecutors have dropped lying charges against two Navy SEALs implicated in an Iraqi detainee abuse case.

Petty Officer 1st Class Julio Huertas and Petty Officer 2nd Class Jonathan Keefe still face courts-martial in Norfolk, Va., for allegedly not protecting a reputed terrorist after his capture in Fallujah, Iraq. Huertas also faces a second charge of impeding an investigation.

Charges that the men lied to an investigator were formally withdrawn Tuesday in response to earlier testimony that they were not read their rights.

The case against them and a third Navy SEAL stem from the 2004 detention of Ahmed Hashim Abed. Keefe’s trial is set for April 19, with the case against Huertas will follow. The third defendant, Petty Officer 2nd class Matthew McCabe, is to face a court-martial in May for allegedly hitting Abed in the stomach while Keefe and Huertas were in the room.

Unreal. You know the country has gone mad with liberalism when three outstanding Navy Seals are heading to court for allegedly slapping a terrorist after his arrest.
This is an outrage.
