The quake was near Quadalupe Victoria just south of the border in Mexico.

  1. Even felt it good here near Los Angeles. The ground was like a wave for about 30 seconds. I do not like being at work, an oil refinery, when these things hit.

  2. Felt it here in Orange County,CA. It was long and started out real slow, thought at first I was having some kind of dizzy spell. It just kept on and I could see outside at everything swaying. Boy it did seem to last a long time. Not my first shaker either, been thru many.

  3. Felt like a deep quake to us in Palm Desert. The house actually rocked from side to side. Thank goodness for frame built dwellings. No noticeable damage. Must have been quite strong in Yuma, AZ

  4. Long, rolling temblor. Figured it was deep and far away as it seemed to have lasted the better part of 30 seconds. We’re located in Arcadia, CA, just east of Pasadena, CA.

Outside celebrating an Easter feast when it turned into a Rock ‘n’ roll Easter earthquake! No damage, just lost of wavy rolling motion …..

  5. I live in Lakewood/Long Beach-live in an upstairs apt. this was a pretty big shaker. I have lived in So CA all my life, so I have been through them all-always scary !!!!

  6. Experienced effects here in Scottsdale, Arizona too. Rare for us, but our dining room chandelier swayed as we were eating diner. Also noticed water sloshing over the edge of our pool.

  7. Felt rolling motion for about 20 seconds. Saw hanging plants swaying. No sound or rattles

  8. Driving here in San Diego I did not feel the quake. Once I got home I felt an after shock, 3 seconds of mild shaking.

  9. In San Diego near the edge of a canyon, I thought it was a gust of wind or an airplane, at first, but the low rumble just kept on and the house really started shaking.

No damage. We went outside, and we could hear all the neighbors talking about it over the fences.

  10. I noticed these huge quakes are in tandom with Obama’s evil rise to power

  11. It was an EARTHQUAKE SWARM. It was the largest shaker I have ever felt since I moved to California in 1985.

  12. * gulp *

Anyone out there getting a sick feeling that California’s number is coming up?

  13. “Anyone out there getting a sick feeling that California’s number is coming up?”

    Yes ….

  14. Felt it here in L.V. as well.

  15. Felt it out in Temecula..about 150 miles from the epicenter…probably the biggest shake we’ve had in awhile… things were swaying, shaking and banging around…my dog was freaking…lay in the H20 folks..

  16. I was out in Northridge today and felt it. At first I thought I was passing out, then I realized everything around me was swaying, too.

  17. Well, how’s Yuma, AZ doing? Not a peep from them, and they weren’t very far from the epicenter.

    I’ve noticed it, too.

  19. In east county San Diego it was the strongest quake my wife and I have ever felt here. That covers 50 years +. Strongest since a 6.9 in El Centro around 1980.

Rolling quake for about a minute with several peaks. The X25 Update video on Left Coast Rebel is from my general area and shows the length of the shaking. There were a bunch of after shocks in the first hour.

Our prayers go out to the folks in Calexico, Mexicali and south. For us it was a thrill ride, for them it must have been scary as hell.
