10 Year-Old Girl Saddened & Confused After Obama SWAT Team Ruins Her First Tea Party Rally

How sad.
10 year-old Amy and her mother spoke with me yesterday after the tea party rally in Quincy, Illinois. The poor child was saddened and confused after the Obama SWAT Team came marching into the rally. Her mother is near tears as she recalls the event.
Founding Bloggers put together this terrific video.

I would recommend our side stop with the “Obama SWAT Team” story today. That wasn’t a special weapons and tactics team. It was beat cops in riot gear. The tea parties were giggling at the silliness of it.
If this goes on for another day, it’s going to start backfiring the way the CBC’s bogus story did.

I’d agree with you if you can show footage of cops in riot gear – who to most folks (including me) are indistinguishable from SWAT, btw – were called up and lined up for most lefty protests, the Million Man March, etc. Otherwise, no, the story and photos need to be run.

What happened here is a big, fat NOTHING. Cops in riot gear are deployed when protesters show up. And to educate you, SWAT members carry machine pistols, assault rifles, and sniper rifles. Cops in riot gear carry batons, shields, and pistols.

The truth is that these weren’t SWAT cops, and they were deployed as a matter of nearly universal police policy. When protesters gather around a dignitary, you call out the cops in riot gear. The cops were calm, and the protesters were calm. Nobody was hurt or even intimidated, as far as I can tell from the video.
If these were “Obama goons,” why wasn’t anybody afraid? The little girl and her mother are complaining today, to the camera, but yesterday everyone was all smiles.
The Quincy Police Department statement that the tea partiers didn’t comply is also not the truth. But saying this was an “Obama SWAT Team” and it was sent to “quash” the protest is equally wrong.

Every tea party rally I’ve been to has had a police presence, however, this is the first instance I’ve seen where LE was in riot gear.

I see police in riot gear being constantly deployed in Germany, even when Pax Europa protests peacefully. In Stuttgart, just the other day, regular cops, riot cops AND mounted cops were observing a protest from Pax Europa against the oppression of women in islam.

They have to keep a straight face and sweat, even though they know that you folks aren’t the ones to pelt them with rocks and fire bombs (that’s what the left wing always does.)
So bring out the apple pie and orange juice.
I think that would be the first protest ever in the history of mankind, where the protestors would bring pie for the police.

1. No boots were put on necks.
2. Nobody was stopped from protesting.
3. No arrests were made.
4. Cops in riot gear are ALWAYS called out as a precaution when people show up to protest the president.

My biggest fear is that this constant refrain of “Obama goons!” and “Jack-booted thugs!” will give us another Murrah Federal Building bombing. Hopefully it won’t happen; McVeigh was responding more to the Branch Davidian fiasco than rhetoric.
But people are getting wound up, and when that happens usually someone snaps. It’s totally unnecessary, because the electorate is on track to handing the Democrats the biggest political defeat in U.S. history.
Just about the only thing that could help Obama now is if someone blows something up or kills somebody. Calling a bunch of local cops an “Obama SWAT Team” adds to the likelihood that this will happen.

The crowd doesn’t – so the police are sent to the area in case the crowd refuses to move.
The tea party organizer, Mr. McQueen, helps get the crowd to move back across the street. The crowd moves, the police leaves without entering the crowd or having any altercations.

1. Re: citizenship issue. To the idiots that do not understand the constitutional requirement for POTUS and VP. The person must be a Natural Born citizen. There are 3 types of citizens: naturalized, native born, natural born. The Natural Born Citizen has the highest requirement because the PARENTS of the child must be citizens of the USA and owe no loyalty to any other country. Dr. Utopia fails the test because his alleged father was not a citizen of the USA.
2. Rather than being debunked, Dr. Utopia did have a trip to Pakistan with his friend from college Chanidoo. This has been discussed in many places. It is not myth, it is fact. You might even find it mentioned in the piece of fiction known as “Dreams of my father”.
