We’d get a very different take from Indian PM Manmohan Singh, stung by Obama’s duplicitous letter of understanding for India’s enemy CHina to meddle in Indian-Pakistan relations who walked out of Obama’s state dinner ostensibly for him, but really to fete Obama’s Chicago and Media co-enablers, so brushed off and dismissed Singh went to sign a nuclear deal with Russia. Obama and his crew threw a couple of chappatis, biriyana and a “namaste!” at the man and were sure they’d hoodwinked him, as if he was some rube.
So much for Bush’s 8 years of forging a full bilateral security partnership with India.
The New Delhi daily paper has a full New York Times insert of all the best commentary NYT and the WaPo can deliver.
Hope that helps explain a lot about from what source the Indian elites form their international and US world-view. This woman probably reads Maureen Dowd and thinks its the gospel.
