Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI) was on last night with Greta Van Susteren. During the interview Rep. Stupak told Greta that democrats see Obamacare as their opportunity to change the law to allow abortion funding.

Hubris.
Dems won’t compromise with Republicans. No tort reform. No insurance portability. No competition across state lines.
I guess the only thing the parties agree on is the preexisting conditions part. Let’s pass that (5 pages?) and call it a day.

I commend Stupak for continuing to remain steadfast to his beliefs. It gives me some hope! Stupak seemed a little weary in this interview, he is probably getting pounded by the Dems. Stay strong Stupak!!!!

For a long time now I have been wondering if there is a single Democrat worthy of running for President in the future. Practically all of them have much less character than a used car salesman. But Bart Stupak, in his interview with Greta, showed up as having more character than all of the national Democrat figures put together.

Has there ever been a more disingenuous piece of legislation in this nation’s history? Hard to imagine it, and this just based on what we are finding out BEFORE this Trojan Horse is rolled out…

Tax-payer funded abortion is only one of the many, many laws that will be changed by this bill. I realize it’s very important – even most important – to a good number of people. And although I’m not one of them, I can appreciate that and thoroughly support your right not to pay for something so against your beliefs.
It bothers me, however, that it’s the only piece of this bill that’s stopping Stupak. I absolutely DO NOT TRUST these Dems and I’m concerned that this could be a ruse, a con, an act. What if the abortion funding part is stricken from the bill before the week is up? Looks to me like Stupak would then be hunky-dory with the bill and vote for it. Worse, he’d expect everyone he’s got focused on that one piece of the bill to be hunky-dory with it, too, because of everyone telling him to stand his ground on abortion funding.
Call me paranoid again, but Obamao and this congress have been using distractions and faux-concessions/faux-compromises to do what they want in spite of our disapproval and protests since Jan 20, 2009. I can’t drop my distrust of them now and I suggest that you don’t, either.

How on earth does this man stay in the Democratic party? Obamacare will be defeated. The Hitlerian tactics and contempt for anyone that disagrees with them will be a permanent stain on the part’s reputation.
I’m predicting a Republic majority in the House and Senate – a filibuster-proof one.
