Meet New Hampshire Democratic State Rep. Nick Levasseur.
Here he is with his pal, Barack Obama.
And, via Red Hampshire, here is his latest Facebook entry:
“Anime is a prime example of why two nukes just wasn’t enough.”
Or in other words, he’ like to kill more Japanese citizens because he doesn’t like their cartoons.
Don’t expect this to get much play in the state-run media.
It doesn’t fit with their propaganda.

My only problem with the comment, is that the press would go insane if this guy was a Republican.
The comment is something that a lot of people might say. It’s simply not politically correct. As to the victims of the bombs, it’s a question of Distance, both literally and with regard to time.
The sinking of the Titantic would have been worth it, if only somehow the director of the movie, Cameron, could have somehow been on board.
That comment is simply silly. Granted, Cameron sinking like that gem is a nice thought. But as to the victims of the actual sinking being used in a joke, it’s really beyond that.
I just don’t want us on the left to get PC like the left is. Well, unless the left is doing a cartoon and wants to make fun of handicap kids or women dying in a coma.

I was in japan in late 1983 when the prime minister was flying to Washington over Pittsburg. A local weather announcer in Pitt started off his show with a playful comment that there was a little Nip in the air, setting up his intro to cooler weather at the prime ministers expence. There were mass demonstrations around the US embassy critisicing the racsism. Baracks friend talking about nuking is in at least as poor taste and is very rasist,

Anime isn’t just Pokemon, DBZ and One Piece. Especially DBZ and Pokemon are massproduced crap.
Anime is also Sen to Chihiro (and all of Studio Ghibli), Akira, Jin Roh, etc.

If a Republican had made the same silly remark, the lamestream media would drag him or her over the coals, making it a top story of the utmost importance, demanding a public apology, the disection of which would then be the top news story.
