Story Balloon posted the video from yesterday’s Chris Matthews show:
“But he couldn’t sell watermelons if it, you gave him the state troopers to flag down the traffic.”
Left Coast Rebel reported that the clip was scrubbed from the internet earlier.

I think the most important thing to draw from this clip is that more and more of the “smart” people are getting disillusioned with the fraud in the White House.
What is fun about these little incidents is 1) it could insure that Obama will be a one-term president, and 2) it will further highlight the fact that our “betters” are total idiots who are as big a bunch of frauds as the man they’re now dumping on.

Well, to my ears, Rather is saying ‘this is the argument that Republicans will be making during the next round of elections, and it’s going to be effective’.
He’s not presenting that analogy as his own view, that’s his prediction of what conservatives will be presenting. Which isn’t much of a defense, since it exposes how his ‘racially sensitive’ (read racist) perception of things is so prominent.
