To provide health care for the 18 million uninsured Americans, Congress would only have to expand Medicaid eligibility and eliminate denials of preexisting conditions.
Congress could begin by putting a moratorium on ALL unnecessary spending. Billions of American tax dollars are wasted each year on pet projects and earmarks.
This bill is government takeover of health care and a transformation to socialism under the guise of health care reform. Compare it to taking your car to a mechanic and he says you need an engine overhaul when you really need just a tune-up and an oil change.
If this bill is so good for the country then why must our Senators and Representatives be bribed and coerced to vote for it?

Brian Baird is a “no”? I will believe it when I see it. He is a follower. He will do what San Fran Nan says. Do not trust him one bit.

One of my customers who is a Doctor told me yesterday that people do not understand is that there is so much more to the medical costs that are not being addressed. Such as “malpractice”.
He told me that doctors order more tests than necessary just to make sure they avoid malpractice. What happens if those tests are not allowed? That leads to more malpractice lawsuits. No wonder 46% of doctors plan to abandon their practice if this bill is passed.

Just another perfect example of how this legislation fails miserably in addressing the myriad of issues involved in health care reform. And this one is gonna’ hurt – BIG TIME.
If you were a doctor with years of training and experience, would you risk everything by not covering your a$$ against malpractice claims? I don’t think so….and I don’t blame those doctors for one second.
The major hangup? Congress is FULL of lawyers and they aren’t about to enact legislation that might cut into the wealth of their attorney brethren. It’s a “good old boys” club and it will take a super effort to ever get tort reform enacted.

That might not be bad news. The word is that the Dems have told Stupak that they will not allow the pro-life language which is what the conference was supposedly going to push.

Slightly OT – but close enough – check out CNN.com. Not ONE mention of the Death Care protest going on in DC. They do see fit to headline a protest on Shamnesty, though.
Maybe it’s time to seriously consider a boycott of CNN sponsors, along with a march on Washington that would be the Mother of ALL Marches.

Kosmas has changed from a ‘no’ to a ‘yes’. It was in the Orlando Sentinel this morning on the front page!
I tried to call her and another and could not reach anyone. Either the line was busy or the message could not be accepted. I only hope there is still some record of the number of calls coming in to the offices.
I did email Kosmas and told her I would be giving time and money to her opponent.

Kosmas has changed from a ‘no’ to a ‘yes’. It was in the Orlando Sentinel this morning on the front page!
Yes, this account it true and Kosmas made that statement on CFL News 13 last night (Friday) and her website now states that she is a yes vote. Her reasoning is that the CBO numbers show that we will save money. But the CBO numbers are another story, since it only scores on what is given to them and the “Doctor Fix” isn’t in the scoring as if it were, then the positive numbers would go negative.
I tried to call (could not get through) as well as emailed her today but I have to assume she is not reading any email knowing the backlash she is going to get.
A CFL News 13 opinion poll being taken today (Saturday) shows that 72% of the respondents are a no vote and against this bill, but Kosmas is not listening, as are many Democrats.
As a small business owner I do not mix politics with business as it can hurt business. However, this economy has already taken a toll on my business. As such, I told Kosmas that I have changed my stance on this belief and that I will lobby all my business clients, associates and everyone else I know to persuade them to vote her out of office come November. Her Congressional days are now numbered and counting down.
I see first hand every day how Government spending, their attitude and total disregard towards the American people and this country is affecting the general public through my business. Everyone is affraid to spend money as they worry whether or not they will have any in the near of foreseeable future.
I also heard today, but not verified, that Pisslosi is now trying to work a deal with Stupik. His people want a vote on his amendment before they vote for the bill but Pisslosi wants the vote after the bill has been voted on. Will he be stupid enough to go with what Plsslosi wants?
My bets are that the Senate will not accept the changes that Congress wants and the Senate bill will not be changed, period. The Congressional sheep are being herded to “Slaughter”.
