President Obama today told the state-run media that he believes the tea party is built around a core group of birthers.

The “spread the wealther” also claimed he was not a socialist.
The AP reported:
President Barack Obama says he believes the Tea Party is built around a “core group” of people who question whether he is a U.S. citizen and believe he is a socialist.
But beyond that, Obama tells NBC he recognizes the movement involves “folks who have legitimate concerns” about the national debt and whether the government is taking on too many difficult issues simultaneously.
In an interview broadcast Tuesday on NBC’s “Today” show, Obama said he feels “there’s still going to be a group at their core that question my legitimacy.” But he said he didn’t want to paint Tea Party activists “in broad brushes” and he hopes to win over members who have “mainstream, legitimate concerns.”
Of course, the socialist label is something he’s worked hard to earn. The birther label is just another instance of this hard core leftist smearing those who oppose his disastrous policies and record.

You know what’s funny? Any other sitting president of the US wouldn’t take on a group like the Teaparty. They would ignore it; Obama is doing more for the movement than any single member ever could. He is legitimizing the opposition. I know Alinsky would say “isolate and intimidate, denigrate and destroy”. But that philosophy is at odds with the “there’s no such thing as bad press”. He’s trying to thread the needle with his critisism, but he’s FAILING. Since birthers represented about 10 percent of republicans and conservatives around six months ago (last poll I saw on subject), and 9/11 troofers represent nearly 40 percent of the democrap party, would it be fair to say under Obama’s logic: that the democrap party is the party of troofers?; since democraps hate Israel (at least 40 percent of democraps are anti Israel), can we state that the democraps are the anti Israel/anti semitic party?; with at least forty percent of democraps polling that there is nothing wrong with socialism, can we say that the democrap party is the socialist party?

I can totally see how this conversation went down the first time the administration heard of the birthers. They thought, “wait we can use this.”

I haven’t found the birther concerns to resonate – whether true or not, it’s about as murky as Rathergate. Even if it was uncovered that he was born elsewhere, I doubt any branch of government would do anything about it. That’s my greatest complaint with the birthers: go after issues you can effect change and gain traction with, not issues that regardless of truth will never lead to actionable change.
I’m also well aware of how resonant Obama is with Lenin’s strategy during the two revolutions, being one who is well studied in the Soviet revolution. Obama is clearly preparing for second revolution and it’s an effective model for understanding the remarkable coherence of his strategy. Subsequently, I’m equally unsurprised that he finds the socialist tag perplexing. He, like others studied in progressive history, have poor impressions of the sitzpinkler socialists.
European socialist model? Only the confused commentators and propaganda ministers would ever suggest as such. America requires the radical transformation only second revolution can provide, under the guidance of a Leninist administration. Just because a baby has an American parent does not mean the other country relinquishes any rights to that child, and Britain did not. The issue involving the birth certificate is somewhat irrelevant. However, what is relevant is that your Constitution states that to be eligible the person must be a Natural Born Citizen. The definition of Natural Born Citizen says parents, not parent being citizens of the USA. In this case, since the man claimed to be the father of BHO is a Kenyan and a British Citizen, then BHO is not a Natural Born citizen.
There is also another issue that is being raised relating to Indonesia. If BHO was adopted and became an Indonesian citizen then his USA citizenship was relinquished by his mother on his behalf. Unless BHO became an American citizen again via a citizenship ceremony he remains an Indonesian citizen. This would also disqualify him from being POTUS.
I think that there are other more substantial issues, like the fact his mother and grandparents were Communists, that his mother went to high school at Mercer Island in Washington State, which was run by Communists. Also, that his grandfather brought him to the attention of Frank Marshall Davis, another Communist writer (a really crappy one) who was his mentor. Then there is the issue of his relationship to William Ayers, again through his mother, as well as his relationship with Louis Farrakhan from the violent Nation of Islam and sundry other people.
I have also read that there is a possibility that his real father is Malcolm X, rather than even Frank Marshall Davis. He certainly has the mannerism of Malcolm X. However there is a distinct difference. Personally, I think Malcolm X was a much better person with better morals and motivations than BHO.
The man is a Marxist, a Communist. The word “socialist” is way too mild to describe his form of fascism.

he can be born in the USA and not be a natural born citizen. Bobby Jindal is an example. His parents were born in India and arrived in the USA shortly before his birth. Bobby Jindal has USA citizenship but he is not a natural born citizen. His children, on the other hand would be natural born citizens.
Hence with BHO, his father is allegedly the Kenyan, BHO sr. His father was not a citizen of the USA, but a British citizen.
The requirement for eligibility requires that both parents are natural born citizens. The age of the mother is also relevant as to definition of natural born citizen by the way.
Since BHO sr was a British citizen and at the time of his birth there was no dual citizenship then the real issue will remain that of eligibility based upon the test for being a natural born citizen. Even if born in Hawaii, or Washington State for that matter, BHO is not a natural born citizen.

yes, many of us have said the obvious since before he was even selected president.. and it should have raised a huge red flag with “we the people”, but for all intent & purpose, “we the people” have not existed since Jan 20, 2009, Obama’s inauguration day, and that’s the pathetic truth.. *sigh*

What really gets me is Obama actually has the nerve to state that the tea partiers are people who question his U.S. citizenship when he knows full well that this is a lie.
Joanne, a lot of “birthers” do still question his citizenship and birthplace. Others question his paternity. And other citizens, like yourself, have moved past that to his eligibility via dual citizenship from his father and/or Indonesian citizenship via his adoption. Some of just know that he’s hiding something and that’s enough reason that should be disclosed, whatever it is.
For him or anyone anywhere on the right to left spectrum to use the suspicion and distrust that he’s caused and earned is wrong. Doesn’t matter whether it’s “birthers” wanting to see the bc or citizens questioning his status of NBC (or lack thereof), it’s wrong to marginalize and use them as insults, tools of ridicule. The truth is that every one of us who are suspicious and distrustful of him and what we’re told are his origins are right to be so and shouldn’t even bother to defend ourselves. Those, otoh, who take him at his word – or his words, as he, himself, has given numerous accounts of his own birthplace and upbringing – and still trust him are actually the ones worthy of ridicule and marginalizing as they are fools.

If Obummer thinks it’s all “birthers”, why doesn’t he answer their question, and eliminate their opposition?? (Because it’s true that he is not a natural born citizen under the Consitition, and is, therefore, ineligible!)
If he really was eligible, he could silence the birthers by producing. Why doesn’t he?

How can Obama satisfy the constitutional requirement of being a Natural Born Citizen when his father is a Kenyan?
As far as the Tea Party goes, I’ve been there from the beginning, even marched in D.C., but for all their rhetoric about the obeying the Constitution, they seem to forget about Article II.
The Tea Party leaves me somewhat lukewarm, I have lost some respect for what they say the want to accomplish, when in fact Job One should be to secure the public’s trust in the government. Giving Obama a pass does not accomplish this task.
