President Obama is holding a press conference today at 1:45 PM EST.
Obama rejected GOP calls to start over on the democrat’s health care bill today, saying the delay could last a decade or more.
He brought the lab coat props with him.
“We Can’t Walk Away, America’s Waiting For Us To Act, Let’s Get It Done!”
He’s going to ram Obamacare down America’s throat.

Additionally, this is a time where leadership in the Senate is vital. I hope McConnell is up to the job. Republicans have a lot of options with reconciliation, and can delay this bill forever. It will take a lot of political will, and the media bashing will be intense, but that is the job they signed up for.

The CBO hasn’t scored the merged version of the bills so I don’t know how it is possible to speculate about whether it will pass when it is not known what it will cost. This has a long way to go and is anything but a slam dunk, reconciliation or not.

I remember there was a provision last year for some $684 billion in new health care expenditures for fiscal 2010. It’s been lurking in the background all this time, and I believe you excerpted the language from that legislation. So, even if this “Obamacare” goes down in defeat, a large portion of it is already implanted in the federal systtem. This kind of burrowing by leftists is common practice for them.

Some pollsters say the entire Democratic caucus in the House is vulnerable, and now more than one pollster is saying that the GOP can take back the Senate, too.
Don’t give up hope. We can turn this back even if it’s passed.

Total infantile denial. I’ve read in multiple sources that the Dems had no Plan B for dealing with a Republican victory in Massachusetts. They just said it wasn’t going to happen.

Also, ego is involved. I’ve realized that most people are simply too rigid to admit to being wrong. Most people can’t learn from their mistakes or change course. Karl Rove admits in his new book that it was a catastrophic blunder to not fight back against the “Bush lied!” meme, but he doesn’t explain why he did it.
They let that thing fester for years. The only explanation is that Rove and Bush refused to admit that they were wrong, and they refused to change course.
People like that really shouldn’t be in politics. They need to be like General Petraeus, who hired one of his biggest critics as his right-hand man.

i too enjoyed many of TW “the troll slayer” posts.. that is until he was exposed as a liar because he couldn’t resist showing his true colors once
he gained, uh, demanded, everyone listen to him & no one else or suffer distorted character assassinations..
