It’s for the greater good.
President Obama is holding a press conference today at 1:45 PM EST.
Obama rejected GOP calls to start over on the democrat’s health care bill today, saying the delay could last a decade or more.

He brought the lab coat props with him.

“We Can’t Walk Away, America’s Waiting For Us To Act, Let’s Get It Done!”

He’s going to ram Obamacare down America’s throat.

  1. I just listened to about 2 minutes of him(that’s about all I can stand) and the LIES were spewing out of his head.

  2. Not just the lies. I can’t stand the sound of his voice anymore. Worse than chalk on blackboard.

  3. I go to mute when he’s on, then come here to find out was really said.

More do it now, we can’t afford to wait, the country’s future lies in the balance, blah, blah, blah

  4. IMPEACH THIS BASTARD

  5. Everything Obama and his leftist Congress have done regarding this bill has been indicative of a Communist dictator.

  6. Does he look high? Someone at FloppingAces said that he looks like he’s on something.

I mean, he usually SOUNDS high, but I seldom see the man’s face, having abandoned television years ago.

  7. The one sure way to discredit this so called President is to email the video links of Obama saying that a 50 plus one vote is not an option.

    http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/03/obama-flashback-dems-should-not-pass-healthcare-with-50-plus-1-strategy-video/

Email it to everyone you know (starting today) since the media is in the protection racket for this socialist.

  8. Obama needs healthcare reform. He smoke too much, drink too much and talk too much.

  9. We need tons of TV commercials showing Obama, Biden, and Reid opposing the nuclear option in 2005.

Additionally, this is a time where leadership in the Senate is vital. I hope McConnell is up to the job. Republicans have a lot of options with reconciliation, and can delay this bill forever. It will take a lot of political will, and the media bashing will be intense, but that is the job they signed up for.

  10. The CBO hasn’t scored the merged version of the bills so I don’t know how it is possible to speculate about whether it will pass when it is not known what it will cost. This has a long way to go and is anything but a slam dunk, reconciliation or not.

  11. Can we get Bunting to invoke pay-go again when this turkey of a bill comes back to the Senate? It would be fun to see them actually try to fund it through budget cuts!

  12. He does look high or something… his face has become more ashen and his lips more purple. Is he about to morph into the Antichrist or something? Has anyone checked out his dentition to see if any of his teeth have become sharper? What about his hooves?

  13. This bill is the con-man’s way permanently into our lives. It has NOTHING to do with health care. These people are trying to kill the American people’s rights. They push this through, WE declare war.

  14. He says reform is urgent….but he always forgets to mention the majority of the “benefits” don’t kick in until several years down the road.

I’m amazed Democratic senators are going to allow the senate to be highjacked to pass this garbage. As bad as the legislation is, it is even scarier to me that they are effectively imposing tyrrancial rule to pass it by bypassing senate procedure. They are risking a crisis in confidence in the government. You have to wonder if they are willing to bypass senate rules to pass unpopular legislation, will they honor ANY boundaries or rules?

  15. Get some balls Democrats and pass this before it’s written. C’mon, you can do it.

  16. BHO will go down as the sh*ttiest POTUS of all time.

  17. I hope (and pray) this bill doesn’t get past the House vote on the Senate version. I have been reading that Fancy Nancy may not have the votes. Melt down the lines! Call your congressman/woman!

  18. After 2 min my Ovomit bucket was full and I turned on the repeat of last night Blues Hockey game win.

The hilarious thing about that video is that Lord Owe is either going to be proved wrong, which I thought was an impossibility, or he is going to be proven impotent and a failure unable to get his key agenda item passed.

Of course his statements about needing to make a decision may just prove to be lies (shocker) as he tries plan ? and the dims go with a different approach (another bill) to nationalizing health care altogether.

  24. “He says reform is urgent….but he always forgets to mention the majority of the “benefits” don’t kick in until several years down the road.”

They know that when it all goes downhill even faster, when the angle of descent drastically increases, it’ll be Repubs in control, and a Republican, if not a Teapartier, in the White House.

And they, and we, will get the blame, despite the facts to the exact contrary.

["The first part of The Obama Health Care Plan was buried in The Stimulus Bill which was signed into law by the President in February. It
is the second part of The Health Care Plan which is now being debated
    in Congress."

"The underlying method of cutting costs throughout the plan is based on rationing and denying care, not preventing health care need. The plan's method is the most inhumane and unethical approach in cutting costs. The rationing of care is implemented through a Council, equivalent to the National Health Care Board in the British Health Care System. The name given to this panel is The Federal Coordinating Council For Comparative Effectiveness Research (“Federal Council”). (Section 9201 H.R. 1 Version of the Stimulus Bill.)

"President Obama has already appointed the fifteen member Federal Council. According to the Stimulus Bill, p.152, all members of the Council must be “senior federal officers or employees.” Thus, medical treatment will be dispensed by a group of bureaucrats from their ivory towers, not by the hands-on practitioners in the presence of the patients. The council was funded with $1.1 BILLION from The Stimulus Bill."]

I remember there was a provision last year for some $684 billion in new health care expenditures for fiscal 2010. It’s been lurking in the background all this time, and I believe you excerpted the language from that legislation. So, even if this “Obamacare” goes down in defeat, a large portion of it is already implanted in the federal systtem. This kind of burrowing by leftists is common practice for them.

Yup. Ignore the defeatists. We’re in uncharted territory here. The unpopularity of the bill, and the fact that it won’t do what it’s supposed to do, will guarantee not only that the Dems pay an unprecedented price, but that it will be repealed one way or another.

Some pollsters say the entire Democratic caucus in the House is vulnerable, and now more than one pollster is saying that the GOP can take back the Senate, too.

What’s astonishing is how Obama and Co. know that the bridge ahead is out (with electoral defeats in Democrat strongholds) and yet they continue to forge ahead.

I’ve never seen anything like it.

  58. By the way, the people telling us we’re doomed are the same ones who swore up and down that Obama would never allow another free election.

Of course, that was before Christie won in New Jersey and Brown in Massachusetts. D’oh!

They were wrong about the elections ,and they’re wrong about ObamaCare being impossible to repeal. They’re just plain wrong.

  59. We can’t be defeatist about this folks — with victories in NJ, VA, and MA, this means that the public is angry and will vote for someone who will truly “change” things, party-affiliation notwithstanding.

The Democrats are going to get wiped out in Nov. and beyond. We couldn’t have asked for better circumstances.

  60. What’s astonishing is how Obama and Co. know that the bridge ahead is out (with electoral defeats in Democrat strongholds) and yet they continue to forge ahead.

Total infantile denial. I’ve read in multiple sources that the Dems had no Plan B for dealing with a Republican victory in Massachusetts. They just said it wasn’t going to happen.

That’s what they’re saying now. They’ll pass ObamaCare, and then we’ll all fall in love with them for being so masterful. We’ll be their beeyotches and do exactly what they tell us.

Also, ego is involved. I’ve realized that most people are simply too rigid to admit to being wrong. Most people can’t learn from their mistakes or change course. Karl Rove admits in his new book that it was a catastrophic blunder to not fight back against the “Bush lied!” meme, but he doesn’t explain why he did it.

They let that thing fester for years. The only explanation is that Rove and Bush refused to admit that they were wrong, and they refused to change course.

People like that really shouldn’t be in politics. They need to be like General Petraeus, who hired one of his biggest critics as his right-hand man.

  61. Obama’s speech is packed with falsehoods. He states, “I don’t believe we should give government bureaucrats or insurance company bureaucrats more control over health care in America.” (The legislation will most certainly give bureaucrats more control.) “I don’t believe we can afford to leave life-and-death decisions about health care to the discretion of insurance company executives alone.” (This statement implies that health insurance executives already have that excusive power; they do not.) “The proposal I’ve put forward gives Americans more control over their health care by holding insurance companies more accountable.” (ObamaCare’s tighter controls on insurance companies will result in higher premium prices—which will be passed on to consumers.) “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” (“Liking your plan” is worth little if the insurance company is put out of business by the federal government. “Liking your doctor” is meaningless if he quits his profession because reimbursement rates are too low.) Obama says the newest proposal “incorporates the best ideas from Democrats and Republicans—including some of the ideas that Republicans offered during the health care summit, like funding state grants on medical malpractice reform and curbing waste, fraud, and abuse in the health care system.” (Obama’s proposal does not include medical malpractice lawsuit reform; it includes only a limited amount of funds for a “study.” Very little has been added to the bill to combat fraud.) “My proposal also gets rid of many of the provisions that had no place in health care reform—provisions that were more about winning individual votes in Congress than improving health care for all Americans.” (Obama replaced expensive bribes to some states with expensive bribes to all 50 states, by picking up their increased Medicaid bills—at least until the federal government realizes it cannot keep printing money.) “At stake right now is not just our ability to solve this problem, but our ability to solve any problem.” (That is a correct statement; Obama understands that if he cannot get a health care bill he will appear incompetent. Of course, the ludicrous legislation he is ushering through Congress will have just about the same effect.) “The American people want to know if it’s still possible for Washington to look out for their interests and their future. They are waiting for us to act. They are waiting for us to lead. And as long as I hold this office, I intend to provide that leadership. I don’t know how this plays politically, but I know it’s right. And so I ask Congress to finish its work, and I look forward to signing this reform into law.”

Read The Obama Timeline to prepare for the fight in 2012.

  62. “I don’t know how this plays politically”

Another lie. It’s obvious that we don’t want it.

  63. Justice through the barrel of a gun, if we do not get what the public wants. Revolution is in the making and the socialists forgot the important part. Disarm the populace.
