Obama supporter threatens to kill GOP House Whip.
A Philadelphia Muslim man was charged today with threatening to kill GOP Whip Eric Cantor and his family.
TPM reported:
Today, a two-count complaint and warrant was filed charging Norman Leboon with threatening to kill United States Congressman Eric Cantor and his family, and threatening to kill Congressman Eric Cantor, who is an official of the United States, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy and FBI Special Agent in Charge Jan Fedarcyk. As set forth in the affidavit to the complaint and warrant, in or about late March, 2010, Leboon created and then transmitted a YouTube video to Google over the internet, in which he threatened to kill Congressman Cantor and his family. No harm came to the Congressman or his family as a result of Leboon’s threats.
Jammie Wearing Fool notes that Leboon, a Muslim, just so happens to be a Barack Obama donor.
Michelle Malkin found the deranged leftist’s photo.
Leboon posted the video last Wednesday.
Philly.com reported:
According to the affidavit, Leboon allegedly said in the video: “Remember Eric . . . our judgment time, the final Yom Kippur has been given. You are a liar, you’re a Lucifer, you’re a pig, a greedy [expletive] pig. You’re an abomination. You receive my bullets in your office. Remember they will be placed in your heads. You and your children are Lucifer’s abominations.”
The video was reported to the FBI in San Francisco on Friday and Leboon allegedly told agents he posted it on Wednesday.
Congressman Cantor’s office released a statement Monday saying, “The Congressman is deeply grateful for, and would like to dearly thank all local and federal law enforcement involved.”
It looks like Josh Marshall and the rest of the leftist haters may owe the GOP an apology?

Norman Leboon, Sr, the man been arrested for making a death threat video against House Minority Whip Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) and Cantor’s family is listed by the Federal Elections Commission as having made two donations to the presidential campaign of Barack Obama in 2008.
According to the FEC, the donations were made on successive days in June 2008, on the 20th for $255 and on the 21st for $250. There are no other federal election campaign contributions listed for Leboon.
Just a week before Leboon made his contributions, Obama spoke in Leboon’s hometown of Philadelphia on June 13, where he urged his supporters to “bring a gun” to the political battles against their opponents:

There’s obviously deranged people out there, that may, for whatever reason, allign themselves on either side of the aisle (Democrat or Republican). Violence is wrong no matter what – condoning violence is wrong.
I think the general consensus here at GP, at least having to do with this thread, is that the main stream media has been shown to be less inclined to report on instances where Republicans are the targets and the perpetrators are sympathetic to Democrats.
The media has always jumped at making headline stories and the fact is these days anything involving a “republican” and thusly a “conservative” is big news and sells.
If we want to take the subject one step further we could adress painting with wide brushes – whether it’s in favor or not of Democrats and Republicans. I’m a registered republican but any more that’s really not a good way to label me or my views.
