Lindsey Graham Meets With Obama White House to Plan Next Amnesty Bill

Back in January Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was pushing cap-and-trade legislation with democrats. Now, the Republican senator is assisting the White House with amnesty for illegal aliens.
In 2007 while speaking to the radical La Raza organization, Graham said he was going to tell the “bigots” who opposed amnesty to “shut up.”
RINO Senaor Lindsey Graham (R-SC) met with White House officials this week to discuss amnesty.
The LA Times reported:
Despite steep odds, the White House has discussed prospects for reviving a major overhaul of the nation’s immigration laws, a commitment that President Obama has postponed once already.
Obama took up the issue privately with his staff Monday in a bid to advance a bill through Congress before lawmakers become too distracted by approaching midterm elections.
In the session, Obama and members of his Domestic Policy Council outlined ways to resuscitate the effort in a White House meeting with two senators — Democrat Charles E. Schumer of New York and Republican Lindsey Graham of South Carolina – who have spent months trying to craft a bill.
According to a person familiar with the meeting, the White House may ask Schumer and Graham to at least produce a blueprint that could be turned into legislative language.
The basis of a bill would include a path toward citizenship for the 10.8 million people living in the U.S. illegally. Citizenship would not be granted lightly, the White House said. Undocumented workers would need to register, pay taxes and pay a penalty for violating the law. Failure to comply might result in deportation.
Nick Shapiro, a White House spokesman, said the president’s support for an immigration bill, which would also include improved border security, was “unwavering.”
More… Senator Grahamnesty has been busy this week. He’s also been helping Team Obama shut down Gitmo.

I support immigration reform so I support Senator Grahams efforts.
However the real story is missing here. This is all smoke and mirrors and yes this blog is a part of it. There will be no immigration reform bill this year. The President’s Chief of Staff is cool to it it and Nancy Pelosi has already quitly told their her members they will not have to face a vote. Smart immigration reform frioendly groups are noticing it. Yes the charade will continue.

There’ve been a few times that Graham made a statement or took a stand that had me thinking he was honorable. Then I started paying more attention to him and got wise to him. He’s just an @$$-kissing yes-man. Fourth, block chain immigration ( except, perhaps, for aged parents only). Make the process more efficient and focused on bringing educated workers to the US and away from bringing uneducated workers in. THEN, let’s address the issue of a path to citezenship for the illegals already here.

Perhaps Senor Grahamnesty should read the Pew Hispanic Research studies on illegals in this nation. Most of them are between the ages of 18-35, have less than a high school education and don’t want to be citizens. The only purpose these people serve is to drive down wages of un/under educated Americans. And with their reluctance to learn English (why should they?) they can never progress past entry level or manuel labor jobs.
Pew also reports that those who enter this nation illegally were fully aware they were breaking the law at the time of their entry. They don’t care.
One out of every Mexican born is currently living in the U.S. and a great portion of that 10% are illegals.
So while Mexico reduces its number of uneducated, which is a burden on that country, they encourage their citizens to persue El Norte. Nothing like having your neighbor be responsible for your trash.

THe last time we had this debate the comment sections of various palces were a civil war. It caused some hurt feeling and it was not productive.

Breaking them, with no real consequence, has been ruining us. There’s no dearth of people ready to take advantage of such idiocy.
Why did so many illegals now in this country flee a nation blessed with its own potential to be great and prosperous? Because corruption has literally destroyed it.
That’s where we’re headed if we don’t wake up soon. I want people of faith and strength of character as fellow citizens.
Lindsey Graham can take his tears south of the border and teach a people how to take back their own nation from thieves. We’ve got our own work to do here.

I support immigration reform. The US should have the same statutory and constitutional provisions for naturalized and illegal immigrants that Mexico has enacted. After all that is what AZTLAC is all about isn’t it? Before anyone blows up at me, do some research as to how Mexico’s (they’re people of color who know how to write better and wiser laws than us gringos) Constitution and statutes treat naturalized and illegal immigrants. And by “you” I literally mean you. You the individual the one sitting at that computer. The one working to provide for your family, raise productive members of society, instill ethics and character in your children. You, the individual American and together as the collective American people. Not your racial group, your ethnicity, your religion, your culture, or your gender. Nor your political affiliation or the size of your bank account.

When did we stop being Americans and become a divided set of special interest groups anyway? Why did that happen? Think of the questions like this: if you were drowning do you think any of those people would risk their life to save you? For if they die trying, then they won’t get re-elected

We must reject any form of special amnesty legalization pathways, which would only encourage more illegal immigration.
