At least one unhinged leftist is posting death threats to Sarah Palin and her family.
Of course, the media is silent.

Don’t expect this to make major headlines like the bogus racist charges from last weekend.
And, don’t forget… When leftist comedians crack rape jokes about her teen daughter– It’s comedy.

This pisses me off. We are hip deep in, “I know this guy who’s friends with this girl who’s brother says he knows a guy who might have heard someone say ‘ni***r’ at a Tea Party protest,” and it’s reported as gospel by the MSM, but we have tangible evidence of actually threats of violence, and there seems to be a strange – if not unexpected – silence.
Although, the news cycle is a little slower than the blog cycle, so we hope that they just haven’t gotten to it yet.

I heard you spinning talking points on 97.1 this morning. You folks on the right something else.
Anyone who is paying attention knows that it’s the tea party folks and other right wing extremists who are causing all the problems right now. No one denies that there aren’t idiots on the left but right now, the vast majority of the violence and hateful speech is coming from the right.
Allman wouldn’t even play the nastiest voicemails left on Stupak’s machine. That’s how dishonest he is. And now you’re claiming that none of the racial epithets were used? Absurd.
Do you really expect people to take you seriously when you make specious claims like this? I suppose no one called Barney Frank a fa**ot either, right? No one cut the gas line at the congressman’s brother’s house either, right? No one threw rocks through Rep. Slaughter’s office window either, right?
I suppose if you were to admit that these things actually happened, you’d probably claim it was the liberals who were doing it. You’re just another right wing talking head repeating what Hannity, Beck, Coulter, et. al. say.
It’s just so pathetic and sad.

Endorsement by silence? Really? You can’t be serious. I condemn ALL threats of any kind by anyone, liberal, moderate or conservative. Is that non-silent enough for you?
“You got video?”
Dozen of people were there and heard it. Are they all lying? No one on the right ever uses that epithet, right? It couldn’t possibly have happened, right? Are you really this naive?
“your ignorance is astounding. this is politics and one of the ways you take power away from a movement is to marginalize it. Educate yourself Jeff.”
So, because you disagree with me, I’m ignorant now? You’re only proving my point. You on the right can’t engage in civil discourse. I’ve been active in and following politics my entire life. I know how the game works. Try to be a little less condescending.
“Jim Hoft of this website was physically AT the coffin incident, the problem was manufactured not actual.”
So he claims. That wasn’t my point. He was implying on 97.1 that none of this stuff is happening. Have you been to a tea party rally? Have you seen the signs? The Hitler comparisons? The claims of socialism? Death panels? Killing grandma? I remember a time when the GOP used to work towards consensus. That’s no longer the case. Goldwater is rolling over in his grave. The modern republican party has lost its way.
“And what your kind did to the Jews in the 40’s, well, sickening.”
Is this the 1940s? My kind? By the way, who said I was a liberal? I sure didn’t. You’re making assumptions. And, we’re talking about right now, not the 1940s.
“You know how I know you’re lying? You’re using the seminar leftist phrasing “anyone who is paying attention.”
Nice try. I’m not lying and I have no idea what the “seminar leftist phrasing’ is. It’s a common phrase. I watch TV. I read. I pay attention. I don’t need to attend some seminar to know this.

* It was Obama-loving Amy Bishop who took a gun to work and murdered co-workers.

The death panel lies of Palin, Grassely, and the rest? Obama has tried to work with the GOP. They won’t have it. It’s the GOP’s way or the highway. They’ve proposed the same three ideas on healthcare reform for years and years and even when they had complete control of everything they didn’t do a thing (except the unfunded mandate known as Medicare Part D – which is nothing but a giveaway to big Pharma and which, by the way, is where the cuts to medicare are coming from. The GOP is even lying about that). It’s the same 3 things: sell across state lines (in other words, a race to the bottom), tort reform (even though medical malpractice accounts for about 1/5 of 1% of the cost of healthcare costs), and medical savings accounts (which we already have by the way).

It so happens that I am also one of the local resident Liberals. Yes, we do exist, and yes, we have vibrant cr@p detectors. I read “Revolution for the Hell of it” in high school, and I’ve read bits and pieces of Saul Alinsky’s writings, not to mention the tiresome and over-long “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand.
I have watched a major news network try to influence an election with a document so poorly faked that it was debunked within hours. I have watched a major news network fail to answer questions about one of its vice presidents who ran around for two years telling foreign audiences that our military was shooting at his reporters (the same guy that admitted suppressing real news about Saddam Hussein’s atrocities).
I watched the Abu Ghraib hearings, and I watched people outright lie about their content.
I’ve also worked in an office building kitty-corner from the White House.
I know that there is a general level of threats from nutcases to anybody involved in the government on any given day, and that the nucases come out of the woodwork any time there is big news.
I recognize the stench of opportunism in the announcement about threats by the Democrats in the wake of this legislation. They have made a political calculation that they need to have the tea partiers be violent, and so they have already chosen to make up threats and racist comments where none existed. If you read this blog, you will find out about several cases of this.
Right now, the Democrats are engaging in accusations against innocent people. They are doing this because they want to have something else to talk about to the press, instead of their own disgraceful conduct and the poor quality of their work product.

Cuban leader applauds US health-care reform bill
Dubious endorsement? Cuban leader endorses US health care reform, says it’s about time
Thursday March 25, 2010, 12:39 pm EDT
HAVANA (AP) — It perhaps was not the endorsement President Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress were looking for.
Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro on Thursday declared passage of American health care reform “a miracle” and a major victory for Obama’s presidency, but couldn’t help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago.
“We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his (Obama’s) government,” Castro wrote in an essay published in state media, adding that it would strengthen the president’s hand against lobbyists and “mercenaries.”
But the Cuban leader also used the lengthy piece to criticize the American president for his lack of leadership on climate change and immigration reform, and for his decision to send more troops to Afghanistan, among many other things.
And he said it was remarkable that the most powerful country on earth took more than two centuries from its founding to approve something as basic as health benefits for all.
“It is really incredible that 234 years after the Declaration of Independence … the government of that country has approved medical attention for the majority of its citizens, something that Cuba was able to do half a century ago,” Castro wrote.
The longtime Cuban leader — who ceded power to his brother Raul in 2008 — has continued to pronounce his thoughts on world issues though frequent essays, titled “Reflections,” which are published in state newspapers.
Cuba provides free health care and education to all its citizens, and heavily subsidizes food, housing, utilities and transportation, policies that have earned it global praise. The government has warned that some of those benefits are no longer sustainable given Cuba’s ever-struggling economy, though it has so far not made major changes.
In recent speeches, Raul Castro has singled out medicine as an area where the government needs to be spending less, but he has not elaborated.
While Fidel Castro was initially positive about Obama, his essays have become increasingly hostile in recent months as relations between Cuba and the United States have soured. Washington has been increasingly alarmed by Cuba’s treatment of political dissidents — one of whom died in February after a long hunger strike.
Cuba was irate over the island’s inclusion earlier this year on a list of countries Washington considers to be state sponsors of terrorism. Tensions have also risen following the arrest in December of a U.S. government contractor that Havana accuses of spying.
In Thursday’s essay, Castro called Obama a “fanatic believer in capitalist imperialism” but also praised him as “unquestionably intelligent.”
“I hope that the stupid things he sometimes says about Cuba don’t cloud over that intelligence,” he said.
What don’t you get?

That’s an outright lie — one of many that you’ve posted in this thread — and shows how foolish you are, especially considering the policies Obama has followed over the past 15 months. There is nothing in this guy’s past, including his voting record as a U.S. Senator, that says this, and his record so far as POTUS illustrates how far left he is. How is this even an argument? As you’ve done repeatedly in this thread, you’re just arrogantly stating things as fact that you desperately want to be true and using projection to accuse many here of doing exactly what you and those you’re supporting are doing. To top it off, you make sure to post a bunch of Left-wing cliches in which you have to reference Beck and Limbaugh. Is this where one of us conservatives is supposed to derisively mention Maddow and Olbermann? I’m just trying to follow protocol with the normal Right vs. Left online arguments.
The public didn’t support the health care bill by strong margins — including both Republicans and Independents — but Obama & Co. pushed it through anyway and now you have the balls to blame the people whose opinions were ignored? It’s the GOP’s fault for the Democrats using taxpayer money to get unsure Democrat politicians to support the bill? It’s the GOP’s fault that the Democrats had to hide various costs so they could lie right to the American people about the cost of the health care bill? It’s the GOP’s fault that Obama called for a health care summit to make believe he was being bipartisan then didn’t include any of the ideas from the GOP at the summit?
I think the biggest joke is that you actually wrote the following:
“This bill isn’t a government takeover of healthcare. Not even close. No public option. 31 million new customers for the PRIVATE insurance companies. It’s just absurd to argue this is a government takeover.”
Could you be anymore intellectually dishonest? This health care bill may not result in complete government takeover of the health care system, but we’re now on the path to that. Democrats themselves have been saying this publicly and privately according to myriad press reports that this is the first step to single payer, which is a full takeover of the health care system, unlike the 50% option they had to settle for so far. So should we put aside our complaints and opposition until it’s too late and single payer is about to be voted on? Puh-lease. Your argument is idiotic.
You keep talking down to us while you post such stupidity. And make sure you continue the tactic of accusing the Right of posting hate-filled comments, which is exactly what you’ve done in this thread. How many unnecessary insults did you include in your posts? Do you not even see that you’re doing exactly what you accuse conservatives of doing?

Sarah Palin used a metaphor about continuing the health care debate, and reporters were all over it as if it were a death threat instead of a threat to vote. So, Jim wants to know when the real death threats to Sarah Palin and her family will get the same publicity.

People who disagreed with Bush (or Reagan or whatever conservative you want to pick) have used those words. Now that it’s aimed at the left’s precious Obama, it’s not okay? And, what is most interesting is that, even as they encourage and enable Islam with the first three pillars; the Islamofascists are aiding and abetting them by using the fourth pillar- Terrorism.
We can think of the four pillars as the reason why we are witnessing a socialist revival (e.g., Hugo in the western hemisphere recently) and the rapid advancement of the Islamic Jihad all around the world.]

Death threats to Tea Party folks and the likes of conservatives like Palin? Okay.
“Alleged” threats to the left- bad.
So say the like of the MSM and Jeff who really think he know who originated the hate, who masters it, and uses the class envy and economic jealousy to pass a bill that won’t benefit ANYBODY, even the poor and the middle class.
I wouldn’t engage the likes of Jeff. Jeff, who is such a disingenuous troll and who would never acknowledge it, is what is known as a Dem Socialist. There are 75 members of the Democratic Socialist Party who also call themselves Dems, an inconvenient fact that Jeff either doesn’t know about or cares about.
The thing with people like Jeff, is that those who blindly support the Dem party, do so because they can’t see past their own ignorance, class/economic envy/jealousy, and are so torn up with hate themselves they want nothing short of a governmental reversal of all we know. People like Jeff, who hates former Pres. Bush so much (anti-war too? who knew?), would rather this country go off the cliff because it will be so much better to do away with our Constitutional Republic and the Constitution itself.
I mean, the Dems do think social welfare states are so awesome, even if they’re failing everywhere like in France and UK and are being reversed in places like Scandinavia. Then again, Jeff, you’re not a big believer of independent research so why should any of us think you really care about this country except to see it torn apart by Obamabots like you?
Here’s to sum up Jeff, and other Dem Socialists:
1. Kill of old people and do away with their benefits… old people vote more for Republicans so we can’t have that.
2. No benefits for kids and increased abortions. Wouldn’t want anybody producing kids besides illegals, right?
3. Tax the middle class until there is none.
4. Further enslave the poor because they rely on the Dems to lead them through life.
5. Put small businesses out of busines.. it’s already happening with people cutting back staff, and they’d rather pay the fine than pay for the healthcare “mandate.”
6. Put an end to our private health care system. Even though health care companies helped write the bill, they will lose in the long run. They will make short-term profits. Most rational people I’ve spoken to, who don’t have insurance, will pay the fine than the actual insurance which will lead to cost overruns and not enough money to support the system. Heath insurance companies will not be able to afford this system because they will be further regulated by Obamacare. People will drop them to such an extent that this law is nothing more than a back door to single payer. Something Jeff refuses to admit.
7. Increase in jobless rates. Hey, Jeff, why is it that businesses will have to fire people? Could it be that it will be too expensive to afford Obamacare, per employee? Nah, course not.
8. Big loser for big business. Jeff can belittle big business but they’re the ones that will lose. Not only in productivity, but in expansion, and profits. Yay… they will go out of business.
9. Further debt… no government program has been able to meet costs… there are always cost overruns… look at social security and medicare. Another thing that socialists like Jeff don’t care about. Gotta make this country fall some way, right Jeff?
These are only some of many problems that will exacerbate the collapse of our country. Then again, Dem Socialists don’t want people to retire or want old people to have health care or retirement, when they have young people who suck on their promises like dear old Jeff.
Then again, when people like Jeff and the Dem Socialists have stopped caring about this country and only want what’s entitled to them, we know what we’re up against, don’t we?
