Iran Starts Mass-Producing Cruise Missiles

The Iranian regime started mass-production of the Nasr cruise missile.
Iranian Fars News reported:

The Iranian Defense Ministry started mass-production of Nasr 1 (Victory 1) cruise missiles on Sunday.

“Nasr 1 missile is a cruise missile capable of destroying 3-ton weighted vessels,” Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said at a ceremony to inaugurate Nasr 1 production line at the defense ministry’s Aerospace Industries Organization.

Vahidi also said that Nasr 1 is a short-range coast-to-sea and sea-to-sea missile which could be fired from coasts and all types of vessels.

He announced that his ministry plans to enhance tactical capabilities of the missile, saying the missile will soon be equipped with the capability to be fired from choppers and submarines.

The minister stressed that once the Army’s Navy and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) naval forces come in possession of these mass-produced cruise missiles, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s naval defense capability would experience an outstanding jump forward.

These are fake missiles.

The radome is held in place with a hose clamp and slits have been cut in at the attachment point to allow it to be held in place by compression. Also there are no attachment lugs or rails on the “missile” for launching.

It looks like a piece of 16 inch aluminum tubing, with a radome and wings jury rigged on. Also, why is the writing in Roman letters, not in Farsi?

And why are some wearing masks and lab coats? It’s not a clean room with people in street shoes standing there.

I think it was north korea that gave them the tech. and north korea got it from china which got it from Albright/Clinton.

Having said that, since Iran is going Nuke, then I think Saudi Arabia and Jordan and Turkey and Egypt and Israel should all go nuke and if they are nuke they need to go nuke-squared or nuke to the 10th degree.

They don’t look like effective cruise missiles to me. The article mentions launching from “choppers” – is that even possible with a real cruise missile?

They have to be fairly large to carry enough fuel and payload to do the sort of damage they are designed to to. I have my doubts about these and other Iranian claims.

And did they not expect a swift and strong reaction from America? Why, I’m sure Obama will issue a sternly worded statement any day now . . .

Simulation is printed on the rocket. It is cut of on the right side of the picture. So I guess they can mass produce movie props. A fake show of weapons is what got Sadam in trouble.
