FAIL. Obama's Health Care Rally Prop Is In Hospital… Getting Care… Despite No Insurance

Natoma Canfield is 50 years old. She was diagnosed with cancer 16 years ago. She quit her job or was laid off 12 years ago. She has reportedly held odd jobs cleaning homes the last few years. Natoma was paying $5,000 a year for her insurance but dropped it after it went up to $8,000. She wrote president Obama in December to tell him about it. She was worried she might lose her home. Some people might say she’s lucky to still have a home after losing her job 12 years ago.

Barack Obama came to Ohio today to prop Natoma up on stage with him. But, Natoma Canfield couldn’t make it. She is back in the hospital. (Our prayers for a quick recovery) She is getting cared for despite the fact that she has no insurance. She’s not out on the street. She’s not a statistic like Rep Alan Grayson would have you believe. Natoma is getting the care she needs. Her sister met with Barack Obama instead.
It was a bad day for Obama’s health care props.
UPDATE: Barack Obama talked about Natoma’s mortgage today… Natoma is living in a house her parents built. Something isn’t adding up.

Lets see, if my rudimentary math skills don’t fail me, that would mean she was diagnosed at age 34. How fortunate for her that the current American Cancer Society recommendations for regular mammographies only after age 50 weren’t in effect then. She’d probably be a dead woman today if Obamacare had been in effect then.

My mother had breast cancer,went back to work and made more than she ever had over the next 12 yrs. My brother had lung cancer and went back to work and is still working. My sister recently was diagnosed and kept working. She is the only one who barely had any insurance. Still working and getting along best she can. This woman is out for 12yrs?

If BO is willing to toss a beautiful newborn infant into the garbage, what do you think he’d want to do with a useless and not-so-pretty senior citizen on Social Security?
They’re burdens to him and to the “state.” Why should the healthy and “useful” be “punished” by having to care for these worthless citizens?
If he can speak of his own grandchild as a punishment, what must he think of you and yours?

Ah yes, cancer stories. I like the ones in the ambulance-chaser ads on TV where someone claims that because their dad worked around asbestos in WWII, this is why he recently contracted cancer at age 88. Yea, sure, my ass.

Wait until premiums go up and you don’t have any option to not pay it.
I imagine many will do what I’m going to do once the IRS has access to my bank account, I will remove my savings and checking monies depositing only enough for my immediate needs. I’d rather lose the interest than have them taking what they want whenever they want. That does no harm to the IRS, they got theirs but if enough people do this the banks will suffer.
Rather keep my money in my gun safe.

$8000 a year or even $5000 sounds high, but what is the cost of a year’s worth of cancer treatments? If she was paying 5k for 20k worth of benefits, then I don’t see how she has cause to complain.

$500 to $600 Per Month That LOWER Middle Class Families Will Pay
For a short while this morning an in-depth story was on http://www.yahoo.com before it was yanked that exposed the cost of health care to those who will have to pay for the cost of the program. A lower middle class family (husband and wife) making $66,000 per year will be required to pay $6,600 per year to the government to pay for the Obama health care program. That is over and above rising personal taxes that the government is now requiring American Tax Payers to pay. All current taxes and health care taxes will bring at a minimum a full 50% tax at the beginning on each family in America. As socialist health care costs increase due to the unionization of the industry by Obama’s friends in the Unions during the years that will follow, the 50% tax burden on each family will not begin to cover the costs. Nationalization of American industry will then begin to cover “health care”.

I’m a pharmacist with a disabled child. I’m outraged that Obama’s plan will probably deny all health care to our daughter, care that the government owes our daughter because her father spent 24 years serving in the Army. If we had known that the government would not honor this promise, my husband would have left the Army years ago.
Our future does not look bright. We will probably spend what little retirement savings we have to get needed care for our daughter. After that I don’t know what we will do.

Not only is Natoma in the hospital even though she has no insurance, she’s at the Cleveland Clinic. Must be nice to be at one of the most prestigious hospitals in the country.
