One thing is for sure… If you’re a leftist organization and you need a hand up, the state-run media is always there to help. CNN propped up the astroturfed coffee party movement this week. They include my critique at the 1:40 mark:
Via BreitbartTV
The coffee party was founded by top Obama Campaign official Anabelle Park. The group was formed in response to the tea party movement.
St. Louis had their first coffee party meeting last week. About 40 people turned out. The St. Louis Coffee Party is a branch of the national astroturfed group based out of Washington DC. Founding Bloggers wrote more about the local media bias in promoting the St. Louis coffee group.

The whole ‘coffee party’ concept makes me laugh. Some nerd thought that this would be a good idea. Oh well…

Oh, I dunno, Joe, it could have potential. If their coffee klatsches are anything like their anti-war rallies in the 60′s, they could be great places to pick up ditzy, liberal babes.
(Well, that’s what my dad told me …, before my mom hit him up side his head with a broom.)

If a network no one watches, interviews a concocted group no one has ever heard of, has an event actually occurred?
Pedro commented:
What? CNN didn’t yell and talk down at these people like the Tea Party in Chicago last year?
…in reality, this group will either collapse under its lack of weight or turn into a self-help group for disillusioned Obamites
J commented:
Wow.
Lefties organizing to pontificate and nag.
How original!
down with dems commented:
Interesting how the media instantly rejects Tea Partiers as redneck racist homophobic anarchist teabaggers, but jump on the Coffee Party bandwagon right out the gate.
Fair and balanced? nope
Redwine commented:
The whole idea of the “Coffee Party” is bogus. The “Tea Party” is founded on a patriotic historical act against unrepresented taxation. The “Coffee Party” might just as well be called a Kaffee Klatsch. It means nothing and this nothingness is represented by people who are beneath contempt.
mike commented:
Thats so funny! They totally missed the point of the “Tea” in tea party. Ever hear of the famous “Boston Coffee Party”? Bunch of Regulars(Redcoats).
Beachbum commented:
Pedro #7 –> ” or turn into a self-help group for disillusioned Obamites”
It already is a self-help group of Obama butt-sucking kool-aid drinkers … or coffee drinkers. So then are they considered “racist” if they add “white” cream to that “black” coffee?
Either way … their nothing more than a group of leftist loons on the loose and the MSM is part of it.
There is nothing original about these loons … their just more of the same … just a different name.
Now where is that health care death panel when you need them.

It’s true name is…….. Commie Coffee Party
BigJ commented:
I love how at the end they showed videos side-by-side of the Tea Party and the Coffee Party. They try to portray the Coffee Party as being a group of sensible, intellectual people sitting around and coming up with real solutions to our problems, while the Tea Party is just a group of wingnuts marching around in the streets carrying signs, yelling out slogans, and mocking their Messiah.
Michelle Orwick commented:
Check out the guy interviewed. His name is Kevin Zeese. He’s a professional political activist. He was press secretary for Ralph Nader’s campaign. He himself ran as a green party US senate candidate for Maryland in ’06. Director of Democracy Rising. Self proclaimed leader in drug reform and peace movements.

This is what the left considers grassroots.
Add that to other political operatives in the Coffee Party including film-makers/ propagandists: Annabel Park, Eric Byler, Amyn Kaderali and Eileen Cabiling

I’m shocked, shocked, to find that with Dinosaur-Media backing, that “Coffee Party” could only muster 40 attendees.
Ahhhhh, ha, ha, haaa.

I’ve been looking for the campaign credentials for “top Obama Campaign official Anabelle Park”; could you post any references you have on her?
Thanks!

Well, at least if a couple dozen or so coffeebaggers stage a march on Washington, you can bet the Liberal media will turn out en masse not only to cover it but also to join in and cheer them on.

Rather than breakfast and coffee, these liberals should be eating Chinese out of the carton using chopsticks, like really cool urbanites do in a Woody Allen film.

A barely advertised July 4, 2009 TEA Party put on in a parking lot by a local woman in Germantown, WI drew several hundred on short notice.
They can only draw 40? They’re doomed.

We’ve never had a president (and congress) this far to the left. But Ms. Park and that hairy liberal squid want us to believe they grew out of a spontaneous political vacuum. BS!

You don’t get it.
CNN isn’t supporting or propping up that silly, so called “Coffee Party” movement. CNN is goading them on, instigating a big brouhaha to create a story that will enable them to boost their ratings, and to increase their revenues from advertisers.
It’s business. The MSM have been playing off groups of people against other groups of people for the past 50 years. They’re instigators. That’s what they do, and it’s enormously profitable, because there are people who are gullible enough and hot-headed enough to be easily manipulated and to get all worked up over nothing..
MGB commented:
Mokabe’s, huh?
Sad thing is that I love coffee. Where can we find out where they meet so we can avoid them?
I considered going to their klatches, dressed in something or carrying a sign to make them look like a bunch of racist kooks. You know, Alinsky style, like the liberal operatives who show up at Tea Parties carrying racist signs. Those guys that the lamestream media are sure to focus exclusively upon. But it’s hard to think like they do. I couldn’t come up with anything devious enough or radical enough to make the lamestream media attack them as they attack Tea Partiers. I mean, yeah. We could show up with Mao or Che or Lenin T-shirts, but that wouldn’t hurt them. Those are their heroes, including the lamestream media.
They’re not worth the trouble. Their astroturf “movement” will die out just like Air America. How very lame. They probably had to pay those 40 just to show up, and then pop for their latte, too.
