“If democrats don’t do an up or down vote, President Obama is done.”

The outcry in this country would be so enormous, the anger so intense that it would pretty much doom the Obama Administration…
…If they don’t do an up or down vote, President Obama is done. His whole term is done. Whether it passes or fails it doesn’t matter. If they try to sneak it around the back door by some kind of parliamentary procedure nobody’s ever heard of… I want an up or down vote and I don’t really care. 95% of Americans do as well. If they do this it’s the end of the Obama Administration. It’s over.

Passing Obamacare would seem to be a death wish, but I sincerely doubt the Democrats do not have something else up their sleeve that will prevent the change those who are relying on in the November elections TO change. Joanne — I keep wondering too about whether the Dems will try messing with the November election, on top of everything else they have done. I imagine that if they do, a huge number of people in this country will take that as a declaration of war.
Already a lot of us are thinking about making citizens’ arrests, finding ways to seize the assets of these spending-mad maniacs in Congress, publishing their home addresses and phone numbers, changing the locks on government offices, blocking roads and corridors, and committing various other acts of patriotic mischief in order to make it harder for these human monkeywrenches to continue on their mad quest to make life as difficult for the rest of America as possible — and to make it easier for their constituents to find them, corner them, and give them the earful they so richly deserve.

Those on the right already think of BO as being “done” so there’s no room to move on that, the left side think he’s the ONE so they’ll support and do support taking away all personal choices for staterun so there won’t be ‘done’ there will there? I have now decided that it is ok to hate 1 of my 2 neighbors seeing as 52% voted for this guy from the ass party and 48% voted against the guy. Thus I’m not sure if its the neighbor to the right of me or the left of me that I shall not help pick up their paper from the driveway when it rains, nor shall I think nice thoughts for them. I just can’t decide which one it shall be. But to translate: If you didn’t vote for the guy, the next person you talk to there is a better than even chance that THEY DID (50-50 or 52/48). Thus, in the grocery store, while driving, in the post office, or where ever you encounter people KNOW that there’s a good possibility that the dude standing next to you wants you to pay for his stuff but he doesn’t want to ask you himself, he wants the gov’t to take it away quietly and then send him the check. NO BALLS.

What Obama was referring to when he said that the country “deserved” an up or down vote was reconciliation–that the bill should be jammed through the Senate with an “up or down” vote of 51 Senators. A republican majority congress can deem virtually any agency, program or entitlement as deemed to have been revoke, terminated, abolished etc.

I don’t really care that much what O’Reilly does or says, or even exposes from people who aren’t saying anything. I mean, c’mon, it’s not like he’s Oprah getting Obama to dance on his couch screaming he loves Socialism. O’Reilly is at best a follow-up, or half-story reporter of past events and inconclusive commentaries.
As for Obama being done, that won’t be known until the election in November, if it happens. Myself I’m supporting Alito/Palin in 2012.

I have many liberal friends who, despite my attempts to convince them otherwise, found it necessary to vote for this monster. Now, as events unfold, we face what amounts to a civil war between Conservatives and Socialists. I can understand someone making the mistake of voting for Obama’s promises of “hope and change”, given the overwhelming hype and the campaign of lies perpetrated by our mainstream media. We all make mistakes, and I’ll gladly give some leeway to anyone who recognizes and admits that they did, providing that they put their money where their mouth is and join the cause to defend and restore our Constitution.
However, if and when the battle begins, my criteria for determining who is a friend, and who is a foe will come down to who continues to support this assault on our Constitution and who doesn’t. Sadly, I worry about how we’ll deal with those who secretly support it, but publicly “flip” to protect themselves. They present the greatest risk. They will become the enemy within, and, like terrorists, we will spend the rest of our lives rooting them out….

Stopped watching O’Reilly years ago when it seemed to me his show was becoming a bad parody of the movie “Network.” The fake smack-down over illegal immigration with Jerry Rivers (Geraldo Rivera) was the last straw. As for Obama being done? I doubt the enemy within this country has waited this long to merely go away quietly. This is their only chance at collectivizing this country in one fell swoop and they know it. Look for lots more bad stuff to come.

bg – the problem, at least the way I’ve seen it MY whole life, is that when you go to the polls, you have a choice … loser #1, or loser #2. All my life, I’ve had to choose the lesser of two evils. The last presidential election was a perfect example. RINO vs Socialist. What kind of a choice is THAT? there’s a lot of newer reps in there, i’m strictly talking “career reps” ie: Pelosi, Kerry, Reid, Leahy, McCain, Snowe, Specter, Kucinich, check their voting records (ie: those who voted with Dems on cap & trade, as well as the climate change bill that was passed, etc)..
btw, we always have the Military to uphold the Constitution (think Honduras) , but if Obama had his way, he’d have US under Martial

However, as an Independent, I don’t appreciate being lumped in with moderates. Moderates tend to go along with the majority, which is why they won’t pick a side. Independents like myself are paying attention and we make our own decisions. We just don’t toe either party line.

I like Bill, however, he must be spending time in a closet somewhere when he’s off the air. Obama had totally squandered his political capital by October of 2009. Even if they manage to pass Obamacare, Cap and Tax and whatever else they try – there are millions of people like me that will never rest until such atrocities are either repealed, defunded or “deemed” to be unconstitutional.
After the 2010 elections Obama will be a lame duck unable to pass anything in congress for the balance of his term. One simply cannot simultaneously be a charlatan and President of the United States and expect the people of this country will not revolt against them and their ilk in a very big way.
For whatever his pathology, Obama has already failed. In addition to that he has awakened many people to the real goals of the Democratic Party. He and Pelosi, Reid, Slaughter, et al. have exposed the total lack of respect the Democrats have for the Constitution.
We could see the cracks when they tried en masse to stifle dissent everywhere they saw it. Now it is totally clear, they want to make America into an entitlement society and destroy the initiative that has taken us so far to date. The shame of it is that it’s only those that have already gained admittance to the money club that want to keep everyone else out. They want to bask in the glory of leadership the elites will certainly enjoy, however, it will be a mess for the balance of the nation.
While they tout a classless society as they say they will work to redistribute the wealth, they will actually be working to create a two-class society – the ruling class and everyone else. Guess which class Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Clinton and their elite friends will be in.
