A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released today found that 59 percent of Americans surveyed opposed the Obamacare. 39 percent favored it.
Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s favorability rating is at 11%.

(CBS)
Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid’s favorablity rating is at 8%.
And, for the first time, a CNN poll has found that a majority of Americans disapprove of socialist President Obama’s job performance.

Interesting how this was shelved until after the big vote.

This is highly unusual for the msm to show Obama in a negative way.

I am surprised that Nancy and Harry’s favorability ratings are so high. I would have rated them lower…

Personally I’m more baffled at the very high “Haven’t heard enough” marks. Are these two just not mentioned much in news reports, or are people just nervous about giving their opinions about these two leeches?
jonyjoe101 commented:
The majority of americans don’t even know who pelosi or reid are, let alone what the “speaker of the house” does.. This is the same people that always vote for them.
People didn’t even know who obama was, but they voted for him anyway.
Dick_Nixon commented:
What is frightening is the very high number of people who have not paid enough attention to what has been going on to know enough to comment either way on Pelosi and Reid. Bet these f’ers watch American Idol every time it is on.

This poll sucks.
I know very, very, very many people who would quickly answer “hate” instead of “unfavorable” if given the choice.
The term “unfavorable” should be reserved for polling citizens in a “democracy”.
In a nation being ruled by a corrupt hard left authoritarian junta “hate” is the apropos gauge by which us “subjects” judge the tyranny of the Obama nomenclatura.
Dell commented:
I strongly suspect those saying they “haven’t heard enough” about Reek and Pelousy are simply doing so, rather than saying anything negative. They just can’t bring themselves to say what they really think. It’s called party loyalty.

Let’s drive those polls lower. If you missed Rush and Levin today, they both had great ideas to ram this back down the Democrats’ throats. Visit Rush’s site and read his transcript, and then visit Levin’s site and listen to his plan to DEMAND all the new RIGHT’S Obama and Pelosi and Hoyer and all the Democrats who went to the microphone PROMISED we have. Contact your member of Congress and DEMAND they reduce your health insurance premiums by $2500 as Obama promised over and over and over during the campaign and over the past year as POTUS. DEMAND that your Congresscritter contact all insurance providers in your state and order them to provide any service they have denied you and that they cover any preexisting conditions for which they have denied you coverage, etc., ad naseum because the DEMOCRATS PROMISED it over and over on Sunday night. They PROMISED all these things and more were RIGHTS, and you need to exercise your RIGHTS. Also DEMAND that s/he not vote for ONE PENNEY more than the $940B that they PROMISED was the pricetag, so NOT ONE PENNEY MORE should be authorized; NOT ONE PENNEY.
As always, be polite and don’t say or do anything to discredit yourself or that could be considered threatening or harassing.
….get the idea?

I wonder if the media didn’t want Obama to fail big. They pushed for him to go ahead with Healthcare or he would have a failed Presidency. Now he has passed this debacle and has a failed Presidency. The media loves to build someone up and then sits back and enjoys watching them fall.
Sandy commented:
Once again Obama will be running all over the country to explain the Healthcare Bill. But the150th Speech will still be as meaningless and trite as the first 149. And another couple of months will go by with the Middle East in disarray while he continues to campaign for Healthcare.

Here is the future of Democrats
http://republicanleader.house.gov/News/Docume...
We have 3-4 perfect examples of the future of Obamcare. Mass care..now has 42 day wait to see a doctor, and costs are skyrocketing. Tenn Care has just announced it will begin rationing care. Let us not forget Canada and Britain..where their rich people….come to the US for care!!I can see why liberals want to model ours after those… But as usual they will assure us they will improve them and wont kill puppies and kittens like the evil republicans and and insurance companies
I tend to look at like this… we lost the battle but will win the war. and the people are waking up to the sheer corrupt nature of the process Obama, Pelosi and Reid and the underhanded sleazy way they sold this country out to achieve this horrible bill which will bankrupt this nation.
We need to take control of congress and start repealing this bill bit bit bit just as they have chipped away at our freedoms.
Then if they want to play hardball I say we change the Tax code to a flat tax , move the cadilac tax to start next week, for union members and obama supporters that will be fun.
Open drilling offshore and in ANWAR, Put windmills right next to Teddy’s house along with a tribute to May Jo Capechnie Sp????
Defund the NEA, EPA, NPR, PBS and all Global warming grants!
If jobs are lost or decided to be cut due to Obama policies..be sure to lay off liberals first and tell them Obama policies are the cause,
Start setting salary limits on Hollywood, Trial lawyers. Make loser pay laws, Tax trial lawyers 10% of fees to help victims who cant afford lawyers and 10% to help victims of frivolous lawsuits. Its good for the doctors and banks I say Its better for trial lawyers.
Then just to really piss off the liberals, pass a bill forcing all Americans to become Christians and donate $545 or 2% of their salary to the church ( of course this is their GOD given right to freedom of religion) Existing conservative Christians will be exempt of course and Abortions for Liberals will be mandatory! No choice needed !
All welfare receipients will refrain from having kids while on the public teat..any new children will result in 50% reductions in assistance!nIf not working you will be required to attend parenting classes and personal finance classes as well as government studies remedial classes. I think they would quickly find a job.
Liberal professors will be fined $500 for each incidence of conservative student intimidation and required to watch and debate Fox news programs once each week.
And finally any student loans from the ever so helpful federal government will be required to serve 18 months in the military as a thank you to Uncle Sam for allowing you the great fortune to attend college
That should get their attention

Exempted From Obamacare: Senior Staff Who Wrote the Bill
One such surprise is found on page 158 of the legislation, which appears to create a carveout for senior staff members in the leadership offices and on congressional committees, essentially exempting those senior Democrat staffers who wrote the bill from being forced to purchase health care plans in the same way as other Americans.
Here’s the relevant text:
(D) MEMBERS OF CONGRESS IN THE EXCHANGE-
(i) REQUIREMENT- Notwithstanding any other provision of law, after the effective date of this subtitle, the only health plans that the Federal Government may make available to Members of Congress and congressional staff with respect to their service as a Member of Congress or congressional staff shall be health plans that are–
(I) created under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act); or
(II) offered through an Exchange established under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act).
But as with a lot of legislative matters, the devil is in the details — or in this case, the definitions. …
(ii) DEFINITIONS- In this section:
(I) MEMBER OF CONGRESS- The term `Member of Congress’ means any member of the House of Representatives or the Senate.
(II) CONGRESSIONAL STAFF- The term `congressional staff’ means all full-time and part-time employees employed by the official office of a Member of Congress, whether in Washington, DC or outside of Washington, DC.
According to the Congressional Research Service, this definition of staff will only apply to those staffers employed within a member’s “personal office” — meaning that it will absolutely not apply to committee staff members, and may not apply to leadership staff.
This problem was acknowledged earlier in the process — last year, Senator Grassley tried to repair it, but he was rebuffed.
As Speaker Pelosi said a few weeks ago, it’s only after this legislation is passed that we’ll truly find out what’s in it.
Bill Mitchell commented:
Considering that CNN typically puts their thumb, leg, ass and an elephant on the scale for Democrats, this is a bit surprising.
Isn’t this the same CNN infamous for giving Dems a 27 point sampling advantage in prior polls?
Chris Vehr commented:
Doesn’t matter who is favored or unfavored. They are in power and we, the people, put them there. They are destroying our country and laughing at our Constitution. “Arrogance” is their middle name. Neither Pelosi nor Reid stand for anything that I hold dear.
We, the people, need to make a resounding statement when we vote them out of office!

JimR commented:
All problems, shortfalls, failures, etc of this so-called reform will be simply be blamed on the Republicans. The immediate defense will be that they (Dems) had to leave out or moderate part of the plan to satisfy moderates and that if only they are allowed to expand the plan and spend more money, then all will work properly. Then when that fails, they will repeat the above formula.
Jerry M commented:
A majority of Americans have been consistently against this Health Care Reform attempt without even knowing many of the details in this bill. Their opinion has been based on the obvious which are added national debt we cannot afford, ugliness of the process, lack of bipartisan support and a massive intrusion of government into our health care system. When they learn more about the details over the coming months, such as the role of the IRS as enforcers of the mandates, they will be even more vehemently against this bill. What the Democrats passed last Sunday night might better be named the “Be Careful, You Might Get What You Asked For Act” and could still very easily turn into Obama’s Waterloo. With anything this complex and contentious, there is bound to be turmoil during its implementation which will involve the establishment of a new giant government bureacracy. Lawsuits, repeal attempts and citizen demonstrations will further raise the level of anxiety and uncertainty in the minds of many businesses and individuals. Once the euphoria wears off, the unintended consequences that will result could make passage of this bill an albatross around the neck of Democrats for years to come.
